17Jonathan aber und Ahimaaz standen bei dem Brunnen Rogel, und eine Magd ging hin und sagte es ihnen an. Sie aber gingen hin und sagten es dem König David an; denn sie durften sich nicht sehen lassen, daß sie in die Stadt kämen.

17Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by En-rogel; for they might not be seen to come into the city: and a wench went and told them; and they went and told king David.

17Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz were staying by En Rogel; and a female servant used to go and report to them, and they went and told King David; for they couldn’t risk being seen coming into the city.
