43―Pero hay diez tribus en Israel —respondieron los otros—, de modo que tenemos diez veces más derecho delante del rey que ustedes. ¿Por qué no nos invitaron? No olviden que fuimos los primeros en hablar de hacer volver al rey. La disputa continuó, y las palabras de los de Judá fueron más violentas que las de los de Israel.

43Entonces respondieron los varones de Israel, y dijeron á los de Judá: Nosotros tenemos en el rey diez partes, y en el mismo David más que vosotros: ¿por qué pues nos habéis tenido en poco? ¿no hablamos nosotros primero en volver á nuestro rey? Y el razonamiento de los varones de Judá fué más fuerte que el de los varones de Israel.

43And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
