2 Samuel 19

Et le roi fut très ému, et il monta à la chambre au-dessus de la porte et pleura ; et en allant, il disait ainsi : Mon fils Absalom ! mon fils ! mon fils Absalom ! Fussé-je mort à ta place ! Absalom, mon fils, mon fils !

Y DIERON aviso á Joab: He aquí el rey llora, y hace duelo por Absalom.

And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and mourneth for Absalom.

Y volvióse aquel día la victoria en luto para todo el pueblo; porque oyó decir el pueblo aquel día que el rey tenía dolor por su hijo.

And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.

Et la victoire fut changée en deuil pour tout le peuple, ce jour-là, car le peuple entendit ce jour-là qu’on disait : Le roi est affligé à cause de son fils.

Entróse el pueblo aquel día en la ciudad escondidamente, como suele entrar á escondidas el pueblo avergonzado que ha huído de la batalla.

And the people gat them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

Et le peuple entra, ce jour-là, dans la ville à la dérobée, comme s’en irait à la dérobée un peuple honteux d’avoir pris la fuite dans la bataille.

Mas el rey, cubierto el rostro, clamaba en alta voz: ¡Hijo mío Absalom, Absalom, hijo mío, hijo mío!

Y entrando Joab en casa al rey, díjole: Hoy has avergonzado el rostro de todos tus siervos, que han hoy librado tu vida, y la vida de tus hijos y de tus hijas, y la vida de tus mujeres, y la vida de tus concubinas,

And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, Thou hast shamed this day the faces of all thy servants, which this day have saved thy life, and the lives of thy sons and of thy daughters, and the lives of thy wives, and the lives of thy concubines;

Et Joab vint vers le roi dans la maison, et dit : Tu as aujourd’hui rendu honteuse la face de tous tes serviteurs, qui ont aujourd’hui sauvé ta vie, et la vie de tes fils et de tes filles, et la vie de tes femmes, et la vie de tes concubines,

Amando á los que te aborrecen, y aborreciendo á los que te aman: porque hoy has declarado que nada te importan tus príncipes y siervos; pues hoy echo de ver que si Absalom viviera, bien que nosotros todos estuviéramos hoy muertos, entonces te contentaras.

In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.

in that you love those who hate you and hate those who love you. For you have declared today that princes and servants are nothing to you. For today I perceive that if Absalom had lived and we had all died today, then it would have pleased you well.

en ce que tu aimes ceux qui te haïssent, et que tu hais ceux qui t’aiment ; car tu as montré aujourd’hui que tes chefs et tes serviteurs ne te sont rien ; et je sais aujourd’hui que, si Absalom vivait et que, nous tous, nous soyons morts aujourd’hui, alors cela serait bon à tes yeux.

Levántate pues ahora, y sal fuera, y halaga á tus siervos: porque juro por Jehová, que si no sales, ni aun uno quede contigo esta noche; y de esto te pesará más que de todos los males que te han sobrevenido desde tu mocedad hasta ahora.

Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.

Et maintenant, lève-toi, sors, et parle au cœur de tes serviteurs ; car je jure par l’Éternel que si tu ne sors, pas un homme ne demeurera cette nuit avec toi ; et ceci sera pire pour toi que tout le mal qui t’est arrivé depuis ta jeunesse jusqu’à maintenant.

Entonces se levantó el rey, y sentóse á la puerta; y fué declarado á todo el pueblo, diciendo: He aquí el rey está sentado á la puerta. Y vino todo el pueblo delante del rey; mas Israel había huído, cada uno á sus estancias.

And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.

And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?

Y el rey David envió á Sadoc y á Abiathar sacerdotes, diciendo: Hablad á los ancianos de Judá y decidles: ¿Por qué seréis vosotros los postreros en volver el rey á su casa, ya que la palabra de todo Israel ha venido al rey de volverle á su casa?

And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, even to his house.

Et le roi David envoya à Tsadok et à Abiathar, les sacrificateurs, disant : Parlez aux anciens de Juda, en disant : Pourquoi êtes-vous les derniers pour ramener le roi dans sa maison, alors que la parole de tout Israël est venue au roi dans sa maison ?

Vosotros sois mis hermanos; mis huesos y mi carne sois: ¿por qué pues seréis vosotros los postreros en volver al rey?

Ye are my brethren, ye are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are ye the last to bring back the king?

Asimismo diréis á Amasa: ¿No eres tú también hueso mío y carne mía? Así me haga Dios, y así me añada, si no fueres general del ejército delante de mí para siempre, en lugar de Joab.

And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

Así inclinó el corazón de todos los varones de Judá, como el de un solo hombre, para que enviasen á decir al rey: Vuelve tú, y todos tus siervos.

And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return thou, and all thy servants.

Y con él venían mil hombres de Benjamín; asimismo Siba criado de la casa de Saúl, con sus quince hijos y sus veinte siervos, los cuales pasaron el Jordán delante del rey.

And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.

And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king’s household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;

Et un bac passa pour faire passer la maison du roi, et faire ce qui était bon à ses yeux. Et Shimhi, fils de Guéra, tomba devant le roi comme il allait passer le Jourdain,

Y dijo al rey: No me impute mi señor iniquidad, ni tengas memoria de los males que tu siervo hizo el día que mi señor el rey salió de Jerusalem, para guardarlos el rey en su corazón;

And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

He said to the king, “Don’t let my lord impute iniquity to me, or remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

et il dit au roi : Ne m’impute pas d’iniquité, mon seigneur, et ne te souviens pas de l’iniquité commise par ton serviteur au jour où le roi, mon seigneur, sortit de Jérusalem, en sorte que le roi le prenne à cœur.

Porque yo tu siervo conozco haber pecado, y he venido hoy el primero de toda la casa de José, para descender á recibir á mi señor el rey.

For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

For your servant knows that I have sinned. Therefore behold, I have come today as the first of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.”

Car moi, ton serviteur, je sais que j’ai péché ; et voici, je suis venu aujourd’hui le premier de toute la maison de Joseph, pour descendre à la rencontre du roi, mon seigneur.

Y Abisai hijo de Sarvia respondió y dijo: ¿No ha de morir por esto Semei, que maldijo al ungido de Jehová?

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD’s anointed?

Et Abishaï, fils de Tseruïa, répondit et dit : Ne fera-t-on pas mourir Shimhi pour cela, car il a maudit l’oint de l’Éternel ?

David entonces dijo: ¿Qué tenéis vosotros conmigo, hijos de Sarvia, que me habéis de ser hoy adversarios? ¿ha de morir hoy alguno en Israel? ¿no conozco yo que hoy soy rey sobre Israel?

And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

David said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be adversaries to me today? Shall any man be put to death today in Israel? For don’t I know that I am king over Israel today?”

Et David dit : Qu’ai-je à faire avec vous, fils de Tseruïa ? car vous êtes aujourd’hui des adversaires pour moi. Ferait-on mourir aujourd’hui un homme en Israël ? car ne sais-je pas que je suis aujourd’hui roi sur Israël ?

Y dijo el rey á Semei: No morirás. Y el rey se lo juró.

Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him.

The king said to Shimei, “You will not die.” The king swore to him.

Et le roi dit à Shimhi : Tu ne mourras point. Et le roi le lui jura.

También Mephi-boseth hijo de Saúl descendió á recibir al rey: no había lavado sus pies, ni había cortado su barba, ni tampoco había lavado sus vestidos, desde el día que el rey salió hasta el día que vino en paz.

And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore wentest not thou with me, Mephibosheth?

When he had come to Jerusalem to meet the king, the king said to him, “Why didn’t you go with me, Mephibosheth?”

Et lorsque Jérusalem vint à la rencontre du roi, le roi lui dit : Pourquoi n’es-tu pas allé avec moi, Mephibosheth ?

Y él dijo: Rey señor mío, mi siervo me ha engañado; pues había tu siervo dicho: Enalbardaré un asno, y subiré en él, é iré al rey; porque tu siervo es cojo.

And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because thy servant is lame.

He answered, “My lord, O king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said, ‘I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame.

Et il dit : Ô roi, mon seigneur ! mon serviteur m’a trompé ; car ton serviteur disait : Je sellerai mon âne, et je monterai dessus, et j’irai avec le roi, car ton serviteur est boiteux ;

Empero él revolvió á tu siervo delante de mi señor el rey; mas mi señor el rey es como un ángel de Dios: haz pues lo que bien te pareciere.

And he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in thine eyes.

He has slandered your servant to my lord the king, but my lord the king is as an angel of God. Therefore do what is good in your eyes.

et il a calomnié ton serviteur auprès du roi, mon seigneur ; mais le roi, mon seigneur, est comme un ange de Dieu : fais donc ce qui est bon à tes yeux.

Porque toda la casa de mi padre era digna de muerte delante de mi señor el rey, y tú pusiste á tu siervo entre los convidados de tu mesa. ¿Qué derecho pues tengo aún para quejarme más contra el rey?

For all of my father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?

And the king said unto him, Why speakest thou any more of thy matters? I have said, Thou and Ziba divide the land.

The king said to him, “Why do you speak any more of your matters? I say, you and Ziba divide the land.”

Et le roi lui dit : Pourquoi me parles-tu encore de tes affaires ? Je l’ai dit : Toi et Tsiba, partagez les champs.

Y Mephi-boseth dijo al rey: Y aun tómelas él todas, pues que mi señor el rey ha vuelto en paz á su casa.

And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king is come again in peace unto his own house.

Mephibosheth said to the king, “Yes, let him take all, because my lord the king has come in peace to his own house.”

Et Mephibosheth dit au roi : Qu’il prenne même le tout, puisque le roi, mon seigneur, est revenu en paix dans sa maison.

También Barzillai Galaadita descendió de Rogelim, y pasó el Jordán con el rey, para acompañarle de la otra parte del Jordán.

And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.

Y era Barzillai muy viejo, de ochenta años, el cual había dado provisión al rey cuando estaba en Mahanaim, porque era hombre muy rico.

Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

Et Barzillaï était très vieux, âgé de 80 ans, et il avait entretenu le roi pendant qu’il habitait à Mahanaïm, car il était un homme très riche.

Y el rey dijo á Barzillai: Pasa conmigo, y yo te daré de comer conmigo en Jerusalem.

And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and I will feed thee with me in Jerusalem.

The king said to Barzillai, “Come over with me, and I will sustain you with me in Jerusalem.”

Et le roi dit à Barzillaï : Passe avec moi, et je t’entretiendrai auprès de moi à Jérusalem.

Mas Barzillai dijo al rey: ¿Cuántos son los días del tiempo de mi vida, para que yo suba con el rey á Jerusalem?

And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?

Barzillai said to the king, “How many are the days of the years of my life, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem?

Et Barzillaï dit au roi : Combien seront les jours des années de ma vie, pour que je monte avec le roi à Jérusalem ?

Yo soy hoy día de edad de ochenta años, que ya no haré diferencia entre lo bueno y lo malo: ¿tomará gusto ahora tu siervo en lo que comiere ó bebiere? ¿oiré más la voz de los cantores y de las cantoras? ¿para qué, pues, sería aún tu siervo molesto á mi señor el rey?

I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king?

Je suis aujourd’hui âgé de 80 ans ; puis-je distinguer ce qui est bon de ce qui est mauvais ? Ton serviteur peut-il savourer ce que je mange et ce que je bois ? Puis-je encore entendre la voix des chanteurs et des chanteuses ? Et pourquoi ton serviteur serait-il encore à charge au roi, mon seigneur ?

Pasará tu siervo un poco el Jordán con el rey: ¿por qué me ha de dar el rey tan grande recompensa?

Thy servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?

Your servant will just go over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king repay me with such a reward?

Ton serviteur passera pour peu †de temps le Jourdain avec le roi ; et pourquoi le roi me donnerait-il cette récompense ?

Yo te ruego que dejes volver á tu siervo, y que muera en mi ciudad, junto al sepulcro de mi padre y de mi madre. He aquí tu siervo Chimham; que pase él con mi señor el rey, y hazle lo que bien te pareciere.

Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.

Please let your servant turn back again, that I may die in my own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good to you.”

Que ton serviteur, je te prie, s’en retourne, afin que je meure dans ma ville, auprès du sépulcre de mon père et de ma mère ; et voici ton serviteur Kimham, il passera avec le roi, mon seigneur : fais-lui ce qui sera bon à tes yeux.

Y el rey dijo: Pues pase conmigo Chimham, y yo haré con él como bien te parezca: y todo lo que tú pidieres de mí, yo lo haré.

And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee.

The king answered, “Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good to you. Whatever you request of me, that I will do for you.”

Et le roi dit : Kimham passera avec moi, et je lui ferai ce qui sera bon à tes yeux ; et tout ce que tu voudras de moi, je te le ferai.

Y todo el pueblo pasó el Jordán: y luego que el rey hubo también pasado, el rey besó á Barzillai, y bendíjolo; y él se volvió á su casa.

And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.

Et tout le peuple passa le Jourdain, et le roi passa. Et le roi embrassa Barzillaï, et le bénit ; et †Barzillaï s’en retourna en son lieu.

El rey entonces pasó á Gilgal, y con él pasó Chimham; y todo el pueblo de Judá, con la mitad del pueblo de Israel, pasaron al rey.

Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

So the king went over to Gilgal, and Chimham went over with him. All the people of Judah brought the king over, and also half the people of Israel.

Et le roi passa à Guilgal, et Kimham passa avec lui ; et tout le peuple de Juda, et aussi la moitié du peuple d’Israël, firent passer le roi.

Y he aquí todos los varones de Israel vinieron al rey, y le dijeron: ¿Por qué los hombres de Judá, nuestros hermanos, te han llevado, y han hecho pasar el Jordán al rey y á su familia, y á todos los varones de David con él?

And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David’s men with him, over Jordan?

Et voici, tous les hommes d’Israël vinrent vers le roi, et dirent au roi : Pourquoi nos frères, les hommes de Juda, t’ont-ils enlevé et ont-ils fait passer le Jourdain au roi, et à sa maison, et à tous les hommes de David avec lui ?

Y todos los varones de Judá respondieron á todos los de Israel: Porque el rey es nuestro pariente. Mas ¿por qué os enojáis vosotros de eso? ¿hemos nosotros comido algo del rey? ¿hemos recibido de él algún don?

And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king’s cost? or hath he given us any gift?

All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is a close relative to us. Why then are you angry about this matter? Have we eaten at all at the king’s cost? Or has he given us any gift?”

Et tous les hommes de Juda répondirent aux hommes d’Israël : Parce que le roi m’est proche ; et pourquoi y a-t-il chez toi cette colère à cause de cela ? Avons-nous mangé quelque chose qui vienne du roi, ou nous a-t-il fait des présents ?

Entonces respondieron los varones de Israel, y dijeron á los de Judá: Nosotros tenemos en el rey diez partes, y en el mismo David más que vosotros: ¿por qué pues nos habéis tenido en poco? ¿no hablamos nosotros primero en volver á nuestro rey? Y el razonamiento de los varones de Judá fué más fuerte que el de los varones de Israel.

And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

Et les hommes d’Israël répondirent aux hommes de Juda, et dirent : J’ai dix parts au roi, et aussi en David j’ai plus que toi ; et pourquoi m’as-tu méprisé ? Et ma parole n’a-t-elle pas été la première pour ramener mon roi ? Et la parole des hommes de Juda fut plus dure que la parole des hommes d’Israël.
