2 Samuel 19

Et on rapporta à Joab, en disant: Voilà le Roi qui pleure et mène deuil sur Absalom.

Y DIERON aviso á Joab: He aquí el rey llora, y hace duelo por Absalom.

And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and mourneth for Absalom.

Ainsi la délivrance fut en ce jour-là changée en deuil pour tout le peuple ; parce que le peuple avait entendu qu’on disait en ce jour- là : Le Roi a été fort affligé à cause de son fils.

Y volvióse aquel día la victoria en luto para todo el pueblo; porque oyó decir el pueblo aquel día que el rey tenía dolor por su hijo.

And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.

Tellement qu’en ce jour-là le peuple venait dans la ville à la dérobée, comme s’en irait à la dérobée, un peuple qui serait honteux d’avoir fui dans la bataille.

Entróse el pueblo aquel día en la ciudad escondidamente, como suele entrar á escondidas el pueblo avergonzado que ha huído de la batalla.

And the people gat them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

Et le Roi couvrit son visage, et criait à haute voix : Mon fils Absalom ! Absalom mon fils ! mon fils !

Et Joab entra vers le Roi dans la maison, et lui dit : Tu as aujourd’hui rendu confuses les faces de tous tes serviteurs qui ont aujourd’hui garanti ta vie, et la vie de tes fils et de tes filles, et la vie de tes femmes, et la vie de tes concubines.

Y entrando Joab en casa al rey, díjole: Hoy has avergonzado el rostro de todos tus siervos, que han hoy librado tu vida, y la vida de tus hijos y de tus hijas, y la vida de tus mujeres, y la vida de tus concubinas,

And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, Thou hast shamed this day the faces of all thy servants, which this day have saved thy life, and the lives of thy sons and of thy daughters, and the lives of thy wives, and the lives of thy concubines;

De ce que tu aimes ceux qui te haïssent, et que tu hais ceux qui t’aiment ; car tu as aujourd’hui montré que tes capitaines et tes serviteurs ne te sont rien ; et je connais aujourd’hui que si Absalom vivait, et que nous tous fussions morts aujourd’hui, la chose te plairait.

Amando á los que te aborrecen, y aborreciendo á los que te aman: porque hoy has declarado que nada te importan tus príncipes y siervos; pues hoy echo de ver que si Absalom viviera, bien que nosotros todos estuviéramos hoy muertos, entonces te contentaras.

In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.

in that you love those who hate you and hate those who love you. For you have declared today that princes and servants are nothing to you. For today I perceive that if Absalom had lived and we had all died today, then it would have pleased you well.

Maintenant donc lève-toi, sors, et parle selon le coeur de tes serviteurs ; car je te jure par l’Eternel que si tu ne sors, il ne demeurera point cette nuit un seul homme avec toi ; et ce mal sera pire que tous ceux qui te sont arrivés depuis ta jeunesse jusqu’à présent.

Levántate pues ahora, y sal fuera, y halaga á tus siervos: porque juro por Jehová, que si no sales, ni aun uno quede contigo esta noche; y de esto te pesará más que de todos los males que te han sobrevenido desde tu mocedad hasta ahora.

Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.

Alors le Roi se leva et s’assit à la porte : et on fit savoir à tout le peuple, en disant : Voilà, le Roi est assis à la porte ; et tout le peuple vint devant le Roi ; mais Israël s enfuit, chacun en sa tente.

Entonces se levantó el rey, y sentóse á la puerta; y fué declarado á todo el pueblo, diciendo: He aquí el rey está sentado á la puerta. Y vino todo el pueblo delante del rey; mas Israel había huído, cada uno á sus estancias.

Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.

Et tout le peuple se disputait à l’envi dans toutes les Tribus d’Israël, en disant : Le Roi nous a délivrés de la main de nos ennemis, et nous a garantis de la main des Philistins, et maintenant qu’il s’en soit fui du pays à cause d’Absalom !

Y todo el pueblo porfiaba en todas las tribus de Israel, diciendo: El rey nos ha librado de mano de nuestros enemigos, y él nos ha salvado de mano de los Filisteos; y ahora había huído de la tierra por miedo de Absalom.

And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.

Et Le Roi David envoya dire aux Sacrificateurs Tsadok et Abiathar : Parlez aux Anciens de Juda, et leur dites : Pourquoi seriez-vous les derniers à ramener le Roi en sa maison ? car les discours que tout Israël avait tenus, étaient venus jusqu’au Roi dans sa maison.

Y el rey David envió á Sadoc y á Abiathar sacerdotes, diciendo: Hablad á los ancianos de Judá y decidles: ¿Por qué seréis vosotros los postreros en volver el rey á su casa, ya que la palabra de todo Israel ha venido al rey de volverle á su casa?

And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, even to his house.

Vous êtes mes frères, vous êtes mes os et ma chair ; et pourquoi seriez-vous les derniers à ramener le Roi ?

Vosotros sois mis hermanos; mis huesos y mi carne sois: ¿por qué pues seréis vosotros los postreros en volver al rey?

Ye are my brethren, ye are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are ye the last to bring back the king?

Dites même à Hamasa : N’es-tu pas mon os et ma chair ? Que Dieu me fasse ainsi et ainsi il y ajoute ; si tu n’es le chef de l’armée devant moi à toujours en la place de Joab.

Asimismo diréis á Amasa: ¿No eres tú también hueso mío y carne mía? Así me haga Dios, y así me añada, si no fueres general del ejército delante de mí para siempre, en lugar de Joab.

And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

Ainsi il fléchit le coeur de tous les hommes de Juda, comme si ce n’eût été qu’un seul homme, et ils envoyèrent dire au Roi : Retourne- t’en avec tous tes serviteurs.

Así inclinó el corazón de todos los varones de Judá, como el de un solo hombre, para que enviasen á decir al rey: Vuelve tú, y todos tus siervos.

And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return thou, and all thy servants.

Le Roi donc s’en retourna, et vint jusqu’au Jourdain ; et Juda vint jusqu’à Guilgal pour aller au-devant du Roi, afin de lui faire repasser le Jourdain.

Volvió pues el rey, y vino hasta el Jordán. Y Judá vino á Gilgal, á recibir al rey y pasarlo el Jordán.

Et Simhi fils de Guéra, fils de Jémini, qui était de Bahurim, descendit en diligence avec les hommes de Juda au-devant du Roi David.

Il avait avec lui mille hommes de Benjamin. Tsiba serviteur de la maison de Saül, et ses quinze enfants, et ses vingt serviteurs étaient aussi avec lui, et ils passèrent le Jourdain avant le Roi.

Y con él venían mil hombres de Benjamín; asimismo Siba criado de la casa de Saúl, con sus quince hijos y sus veinte siervos, los cuales pasaron el Jordán delante del rey.

And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.

Le bateau passa aussi pour transporter la famille du Roi, et faire ce qu’il lui plairait. Et Simhi fils de Guéra se jeta à genoux devant le Roi, comme il passait le Jourdain ;

And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king’s household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;

Et il dit au Roi : Que mon Seigneur ne m’impute point mon iniquité, et ne se souvienne point de ce que ton serviteur fit méchamment le jour que le Roi mon Seigneur sortait de Jérusalem, tellement que le Roi prenne cela à coeur.

Y dijo al rey: No me impute mi señor iniquidad, ni tengas memoria de los males que tu siervo hizo el día que mi señor el rey salió de Jerusalem, para guardarlos el rey en su corazón;

And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

He said to the king, “Don’t let my lord impute iniquity to me, or remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

Car ton serviteur connaît qu’il a péché ; et voilà, je suis aujourd’hui venu le premier de la maison de Joseph, pour descendre au devant du Roi mon Seigneur.

Porque yo tu siervo conozco haber pecado, y he venido hoy el primero de toda la casa de José, para descender á recibir á mi señor el rey.

For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

Mais Abisaï fils de Tséruja, répondit, et dit : Sous ombre de ceci ne fera-t-on point mourir Simhi, puisqu’il a maudit l’Oint de l’Eternel ?

Y Abisai hijo de Sarvia respondió y dijo: ¿No ha de morir por esto Semei, que maldijo al ungido de Jehová?

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD’s anointed?

Et David dit : Qu’ai-je à faire avec vous, fils de Tséruja ? car vous m’êtes aujourd’hui des adversaires. Ferait-on mourir aujourd’hui quelqu’un en Israël ? car ne connais-je pas bien qu’aujourd’hui je suis fait Roi sur Israël ?

David entonces dijo: ¿Qué tenéis vosotros conmigo, hijos de Sarvia, que me habéis de ser hoy adversarios? ¿ha de morir hoy alguno en Israel? ¿no conozco yo que hoy soy rey sobre Israel?

And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

David said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be adversaries to me today? Shall any man be put to death today in Israel? For don’t I know that I am king over Israel today?”

Et le Roi dit à Simhi : Tu ne mourras point ; et le Roi le lui jura.

Y dijo el rey á Semei: No morirás. Y el rey se lo juró.

Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him.

The king said to Shimei, “You will not die.” The king swore to him.

Après cela Méphiboseth fils de Saül, descendit au devant du Roi, et il n’avait point lavé ses pieds, ni fait sa barbe, ni lavé ses habits, depuis que le Roi s’en était allé, jusqu’au jour qu’il revint en paix.

También Mephi-boseth hijo de Saúl descendió á recibir al rey: no había lavado sus pies, ni había cortado su barba, ni tampoco había lavado sus vestidos, desde el día que el rey salió hasta el día que vino en paz.

And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

Il se trouva donc au-devant du Roi comme le Roi entrait dans Jérusalem, et le Roi lui dit : Pourquoi n’es-tu pas venu avec moi, Méphiboseth ?

Y luego que vino él á Jerusalem á recibir al rey, el rey le dijo: Mephi-boseth, ¿por qué no fuiste conmigo?

And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore wentest not thou with me, Mephibosheth?

When he had come to Jerusalem to meet the king, the king said to him, “Why didn’t you go with me, Mephibosheth?”

Et il lui répondit : Mon Seigneur, mon serviteur m’a trompé, car ton serviteur avait dit : Je ferai seller mon âne, et je monterai dessus, et j’irai vers le Roi, car ton serviteur est boiteux.

Y él dijo: Rey señor mío, mi siervo me ha engañado; pues había tu siervo dicho: Enalbardaré un asno, y subiré en él, é iré al rey; porque tu siervo es cojo.

And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because thy servant is lame.

He answered, “My lord, O king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said, ‘I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame.

Et il a calomnié ton serviteur auprès du Roi mon Seigneur ; mais le Roi mon Seigneur est comme un ange de Dieu ; fais donc ce qu’il te semblera bon.

Empero él revolvió á tu siervo delante de mi señor el rey; mas mi señor el rey es como un ángel de Dios: haz pues lo que bien te pareciere.

And he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in thine eyes.

He has slandered your servant to my lord the king, but my lord the king is as an angel of God. Therefore do what is good in your eyes.

Car quoique tous ceux de la maison de mon père ne soient que des gens dignes de mort envers le Roi mon Seigneur ; cependant tu as mis ton serviteur entre ceux qui mangeaient à ta table ; et quel droit ai-je donc pour me plaindre encore au Roi ?

Porque toda la casa de mi padre era digna de muerte delante de mi señor el rey, y tú pusiste á tu siervo entre los convidados de tu mesa. ¿Qué derecho pues tengo aún para quejarme más contra el rey?

For all of my father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?

Et le Roi lui dit : Pourquoi me parlerais-tu encore de tes affaires ? je l’ai dit : Toi et Tsiba partagez les terres.

Y el rey le dijo: ¿Para qué hablas más palabras? Yo he determinado que tú y Siba partáis las tierras.

And the king said unto him, Why speakest thou any more of thy matters? I have said, Thou and Ziba divide the land.

The king said to him, “Why do you speak any more of your matters? I say, you and Ziba divide the land.”

Et Méphiboseth répondit au Roi : Qu’il prenne même le tout, puisque le Roi mon Seigneur est revenu en paix dans sa maison.

Y Mephi-boseth dijo al rey: Y aun tómelas él todas, pues que mi señor el rey ha vuelto en paz á su casa.

And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king is come again in peace unto his own house.

Mephibosheth said to the king, “Yes, let him take all, because my lord the king has come in peace to his own house.”

Or Barzillaï de Galaad était descendu de Roguelim, et avait passé le Jourdain avec le Roi, pour l’accompagner jusqu’au delà du Jourdain.

También Barzillai Galaadita descendió de Rogelim, y pasó el Jordán con el rey, para acompañarle de la otra parte del Jordán.

And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.

Et Barzillaï était fort vieux, âgé de quatre-vingts ans ; et il avait nourri le Roi tandis qu’il avait demeuré à Mahanajim ; car c’était un homme fort riche.

Y era Barzillai muy viejo, de ochenta años, el cual había dado provisión al rey cuando estaba en Mahanaim, porque era hombre muy rico.

Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

Et le Roi avait dit à Barzillaï : Passe plus avant avec moi, et je te nourrirai avec moi à Jérusalem.

Y el rey dijo á Barzillai: Pasa conmigo, y yo te daré de comer conmigo en Jerusalem.

And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and I will feed thee with me in Jerusalem.

The king said to Barzillai, “Come over with me, and I will sustain you with me in Jerusalem.”

Mais Barzillaï avait répondu au Roi : Combien d’années ai-je vécu, que je monte encore avec le Roi à Jérusalem ?

Mas Barzillai dijo al rey: ¿Cuántos son los días del tiempo de mi vida, para que yo suba con el rey á Jerusalem?

And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?

Barzillai said to the king, “How many are the days of the years of my life, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem?

Je suis aujourd’hui âgé de quatre-vingts ans, pourrais-je discerner le bon d’avec le mauvais ? Ton serviteur pourrait-il savourer ce qu’il mangerait et boirait ? Pourrais-je encore entendre la voix des chantres et des chanteuses ? et pourquoi ton serviteur serait-il à charge au Roi mon Seigneur ?

Yo soy hoy día de edad de ochenta años, que ya no haré diferencia entre lo bueno y lo malo: ¿tomará gusto ahora tu siervo en lo que comiere ó bebiere? ¿oiré más la voz de los cantores y de las cantoras? ¿para qué, pues, sería aún tu siervo molesto á mi señor el rey?

I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king?

Ton serviteur passera un peu plus avant que le Jourdain avec le Roi, mais pourquoi le Roi me voudrait-il donner une telle récompense ?

Pasará tu siervo un poco el Jordán con el rey: ¿por qué me ha de dar el rey tan grande recompensa?

Thy servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?

Your servant will just go over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king repay me with such a reward?

Je te prie que ton serviteur s’en retourne, et que je meure dans ma ville pour être mis au sépulcre de mon père et de ma mère, mais voici, ton serviteur Kimham passera avec le Roi mon Seigneur ; fais- lui ce qui te semblera bon.

Yo te ruego que dejes volver á tu siervo, y que muera en mi ciudad, junto al sepulcro de mi padre y de mi madre. He aquí tu siervo Chimham; que pase él con mi señor el rey, y hazle lo que bien te pareciere.

Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.

Please let your servant turn back again, that I may die in my own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good to you.”

Et le Roi dit : Que Kimham passe avec moi, et je lui ferai ce qui te semblera bon, car je t’accorderai tout ce que tu saurais demander de moi.

Y el rey dijo: Pues pase conmigo Chimham, y yo haré con él como bien te parezca: y todo lo que tú pidieres de mí, yo lo haré.

And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee.

The king answered, “Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good to you. Whatever you request of me, that I will do for you.”

Tout le peuple donc passa le Jourdain avec le Roi. Puis le Roi baisa Barzillaï, et le bénit ; et Barzillaï s’en retourna en son lieu.

Y todo el pueblo pasó el Jordán: y luego que el rey hubo también pasado, el rey besó á Barzillai, y bendíjolo; y él se volvió á su casa.

And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.

De là le Roi passa à Guilgal, et Kimham passa avec lui. Ainsi tout le peuple de Juda, et même la moitié du peuple d’Israël, ramena le Roi.

Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

Mais voici, tous les hommes d’Israël vinrent vers le Roi, et lui dirent : Pourquoi nos frères les hommes de Juda, t’ont-ils enlevé, et ont-ils fait passer le Jourdain au Roi et à la famille, et à tous ses gens ?

Y he aquí todos los varones de Israel vinieron al rey, y le dijeron: ¿Por qué los hombres de Judá, nuestros hermanos, te han llevado, y han hecho pasar el Jordán al rey y á su familia, y á todos los varones de David con él?

And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David’s men with him, over Jordan?

Behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said to the king, “Why have our brothers the men of Judah stolen you away, and brought the king and his household, over the Jordan, and all David’s men with him?”

Et tous les hommes de Juda répondirent aux hommes d’Israël : Parce que le Roi nous est plus proche ; et pourquoi vous fâchez-vous de cela ? Avons-nous rien mangé de ce qui est au Roi ; ou en recevrions- nous quelques présents ?

Y todos los varones de Judá respondieron á todos los de Israel: Porque el rey es nuestro pariente. Mas ¿por qué os enojáis vosotros de eso? ¿hemos nosotros comido algo del rey? ¿hemos recibido de él algún don?

And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king’s cost? or hath he given us any gift?

All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is a close relative to us. Why then are you angry about this matter? Have we eaten at all at the king’s cost? Or has he given us any gift?”

Mais les hommes d’Israël répondirent aux hommes de Juda, et dirent : Nous avons dix parts au Roi, et même nous sommes à David quelque chose de plus que vous ; pourquoi donc nous avez-vous méprisés ; et n’avons-nous pas parlé les premiers de ramener notre Roi ? mais les hommes de Juda parlèrent encore plus rudement que les hommes d’Israël.

Entonces respondieron los varones de Israel, y dijeron á los de Judá: Nosotros tenemos en el rey diez partes, y en el mismo David más que vosotros: ¿por qué pues nos habéis tenido en poco? ¿no hablamos nosotros primero en volver á nuestro rey? Y el razonamiento de los varones de Judá fué más fuerte que el de los varones de Israel.

And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
