2 Samuel 19

Da erbebte der König, stieg in das Obergemach des Torgebäudes hinauf und weinte; im Gehen aber rief er die Worte aus: »Mein Sohn Absalom! Mein Sohn! Mein Sohn Absalom! Wäre doch ich selber statt deiner gestorben! O Absalom, mein Sohn, mein Sohn!«

Y DIERON aviso á Joab: He aquí el rey llora, y hace duelo por Absalom.

And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and mourneth for Absalom.

Joab was told, “Behold, the king weeps and mourns for Absalom.”

Als nun dem Joab berichtet wurde, daß der König um Absalom weine und trauere,

Y volvióse aquel día la victoria en luto para todo el pueblo; porque oyó decir el pueblo aquel día que el rey tenía dolor por su hijo.

And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.

da wurde der Sieg an diesem Tage zur Trauer für das ganze Volk, weil jedermann an diesem Tage erfuhr, daß der König um seinen Sohn Leid trage.

Entróse el pueblo aquel día en la ciudad escondidamente, como suele entrar á escondidas el pueblo avergonzado que ha huído de la batalla.

And the people gat them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

So stahl sich denn das Heer an jenem Tage zum Einzug in die Stadt heran, wie sich ein Heer heranstiehlt, das sich mit Schmach bedeckt hat, weil es in der Schlacht geflohen ist.

Mas el rey, cubierto el rostro, clamaba en alta voz: ¡Hijo mío Absalom, Absalom, hijo mío, hijo mío!

Der König aber hatte sich das Gesicht verhüllt und wehklagte laut: »Mein Sohn Absalom! Absalom, mein Sohn, mein Sohn!«

Y entrando Joab en casa al rey, díjole: Hoy has avergonzado el rostro de todos tus siervos, que han hoy librado tu vida, y la vida de tus hijos y de tus hijas, y la vida de tus mujeres, y la vida de tus concubinas,

And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, Thou hast shamed this day the faces of all thy servants, which this day have saved thy life, and the lives of thy sons and of thy daughters, and the lives of thy wives, and the lives of thy concubines;

Da begab sich Joab zum König ins Haus und sagte: »Du hast heute alle deine Knechte offen beschimpft, obgleich sie heute dir sowie deinen Söhnen und Töchtern, deinen Frauen und Nebenweibern das Leben gerettet haben!

Amando á los que te aborrecen, y aborreciendo á los que te aman: porque hoy has declarado que nada te importan tus príncipes y siervos; pues hoy echo de ver que si Absalom viviera, bien que nosotros todos estuviéramos hoy muertos, entonces te contentaras.

In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.

in that you love those who hate you and hate those who love you. For you have declared today that princes and servants are nothing to you. For today I perceive that if Absalom had lived and we had all died today, then it would have pleased you well.

Denn du hast denen, die dich hassen, Liebe und denen, die dich lieben, Haß erwiesen; du hast ja heute offen gezeigt, daß dir an deinen Heerführern und Knechten nichts gelegen ist; ja, jetzt weiß ich, daß, wenn nur Absalom noch lebte und wir anderen alle heute tot wären, dir das gerade recht sein würde.

Levántate pues ahora, y sal fuera, y halaga á tus siervos: porque juro por Jehová, que si no sales, ni aun uno quede contigo esta noche; y de esto te pesará más que de todos los males que te han sobrevenido desde tu mocedad hasta ahora.

Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.

Nun aber stehe auf, laß dich öffentlich sehen und gönne deinen Knechten ein freundliches Wort! Denn ich schwöre dir beim HERRN: Wenn du dich nicht öffentlich sehen läßt, so bleibt kein Mann mehr diese Nacht bei dir, und das wäre für dich schlimmer als alles Unglück, das du von deiner Jugend an bis jetzt erlebt hast!«

Da stand der König auf und setzte sich ins Tor; und als es dem ganzen Volk bekannt wurde, daß der König (nunmehr) im Tor sitze, erschienen alle Leute vor dem Könige. Als nun die Israeliten geflohen waren, ein jeder in seinen Wohnort,

Y todo el pueblo porfiaba en todas las tribus de Israel, diciendo: El rey nos ha librado de mano de nuestros enemigos, y él nos ha salvado de mano de los Filisteos; y ahora había huído de la tierra por miedo de Absalom.

And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.

erhob das ganze Volk in allen Stämmen der Israeliten Vorwürfe gegen sich selbst; überall hieß es: »Der König hat uns aus der Gewalt unserer Feinde errettet, er hat uns von der Herrschaft der Philister befreit, und jetzt hat er vor Absalom aus dem Lande fliehen müssen!

Nun aber, da Absalom, den wir zum König über uns gesalbt hatten, in der Schlacht ums Leben gekommen ist: warum zögert ihr da noch, den König zurückzuholen?«

Y el rey David envió á Sadoc y á Abiathar sacerdotes, diciendo: Hablad á los ancianos de Judá y decidles: ¿Por qué seréis vosotros los postreros en volver el rey á su casa, ya que la palabra de todo Israel ha venido al rey de volverle á su casa?

And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, even to his house.

(Als diese Äußerungen des gesamten Volkes zum König drangen) sandte der König David zu den Priestern Zadok und Abjathar und ließ ihnen sagen: »Redet mit den Ältesten von Juda und gebt ihnen zu erwägen: ›Warum wollt ihr die Letzten sein, die den König in sein Haus zurückführen?

Vosotros sois mis hermanos; mis huesos y mi carne sois: ¿por qué pues seréis vosotros los postreros en volver al rey?

Ye are my brethren, ye are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are ye the last to bring back the king?

You are my brothers. You are my bone and my flesh. Why then are you the last to bring back the king?’

Ihr seid doch meine Stammesgenossen, seid von meinem Fleisch und Bein: warum wollt ihr also die Letzten sein, wo es gilt, den König heimzuholen?‹

Asimismo diréis á Amasa: ¿No eres tú también hueso mío y carne mía? Así me haga Dios, y así me añada, si no fueres general del ejército delante de mí para siempre, en lugar de Joab.

And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

Und zu Amasa sollt ihr sagen: ›Du bist ja doch von meinem Fleisch und Bein: Gott strafe mich jetzt und künftig, wenn du nicht oberster Heerführer bei mir auf Lebenszeit an Joabs Statt wirst!‹«

Así inclinó el corazón de todos los varones de Judá, como el de un solo hombre, para que enviasen á decir al rey: Vuelve tú, y todos tus siervos.

So gewann er die Herzen aller Männer von Juda, so daß sie einmütig die Aufforderung an den König richteten: »Kehre du mit allen deinen Dienern zurück!«

Y Semei hijo de Gera, hijo de Benjamín, que era de Bahurim, dióse priesa á venir con los hombres de Judá á recibir al rey David;

And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.

Auch der Benjaminit Simei, der Sohn Geras, war aus Bachurim mit der Mannschaft der Judäer dem König David entgegengeeilt

Y con él venían mil hombres de Benjamín; asimismo Siba criado de la casa de Saúl, con sus quince hijos y sus veinte siervos, los cuales pasaron el Jordán delante del rey.

And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.

And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king’s household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;

Als nun die Fähre hinübergefahren war, um die königliche Familie herüberzuholen und sich dem König zur Verfügung zu stellen, warf sich Simei, der Sohn Geras, vor dem König nieder, als dieser eben über den Jordan fahren wollte,

Y dijo al rey: No me impute mi señor iniquidad, ni tengas memoria de los males que tu siervo hizo el día que mi señor el rey salió de Jerusalem, para guardarlos el rey en su corazón;

And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

He said to the king, “Don’t let my lord impute iniquity to me, or remember that which your servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

und richtete an den König die Worte: »Mein Herr wolle mir keine Verschuldung anrechnen und nicht des Vergehens gedenken, das dein Knecht sich hat zuschulden kommen lassen an dem Tage, als mein Herr, der König, Jerusalem verließ! Der König wolle es mir nicht unversöhnlich nachtragen!

Porque yo tu siervo conozco haber pecado, y he venido hoy el primero de toda la casa de José, para descender á recibir á mi señor el rey.

For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

Dein Knecht weiß ja, daß ich mich vergangen habe; doch, wie du siehst, bin ich heute als der erste vom ganzen Hause Joseph herabgekommen, um meinen Herrn, den König, einzuholen.«

Y Abisai hijo de Sarvia respondió y dijo: ¿No ha de morir por esto Semei, que maldijo al ungido de Jehová?

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD’s anointed?

Als nun Abisai, der Sohn der Zeruja, das Wort nahm und ausrief: »Sollte Simei nicht den Tod dafür erleiden, daß er dem Gesalbten des HERRN geflucht hat?«,

David entonces dijo: ¿Qué tenéis vosotros conmigo, hijos de Sarvia, que me habéis de ser hoy adversarios? ¿ha de morir hoy alguno en Israel? ¿no conozco yo que hoy soy rey sobre Israel?

And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

David said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be adversaries to me today? Shall any man be put to death today in Israel? For don’t I know that I am king over Israel today?”

entgegnete David: »Ihr Söhne der Zeruja, was habe ich mit euch zu tun, daß ihr mir heute zum Satan werden wollt? Heute soll niemand in Israel den Tod erleiden, da ich doch weiß, daß ich heute wieder König über Israel bin!«

Y dijo el rey á Semei: No morirás. Y el rey se lo juró.

Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him.

Hierauf sagte der König zu Simei: »Du sollst nicht sterben!«, und der König bekräftigte es ihm mit einem Eide.

También Mephi-boseth hijo de Saúl descendió á recibir al rey: no había lavado sus pies, ni había cortado su barba, ni tampoco había lavado sus vestidos, desde el día que el rey salió hasta el día que vino en paz.

And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

Auch Mephiboseth, Sauls Enkel, war herabgekommen dem König entgegen; er hatte aber weder seine Füße gereinigt, noch seinen Bart gepflegt, noch seine Kleider gewaschen seit dem Tage, an dem der König weggezogen war, bis zu dem Tage, an dem er glücklich heimkehrte.

Y luego que vino él á Jerusalem á recibir al rey, el rey le dijo: Mephi-boseth, ¿por qué no fuiste conmigo?

And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore wentest not thou with me, Mephibosheth?

When he had come to Jerusalem to meet the king, the king said to him, “Why didn’t you go with me, Mephibosheth?”

Als er nun von Jerusalem her dem König entgegenkam, fragte der König ihn: »Mephiboseth, warum bist du nicht mit mir ausgezogen?«

Y él dijo: Rey señor mío, mi siervo me ha engañado; pues había tu siervo dicho: Enalbardaré un asno, y subiré en él, é iré al rey; porque tu siervo es cojo.

And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because thy servant is lame.

He answered, “My lord, O king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said, ‘I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go with the king,’ because your servant is lame.

Da antwortete er: »Mein Herr und König! Mein Diener hat mich betrogen! Dein Knecht hatte sich nämlich vorgenommen: ›Ich will mir doch meinen Esel satteln lassen und darauf reiten, um mit dem König zu ziehen – dein Knecht ist ja lahm –;

Empero él revolvió á tu siervo delante de mi señor el rey; mas mi señor el rey es como un ángel de Dios: haz pues lo que bien te pareciere.

And he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in thine eyes.

aber er hat deinen Knecht bei meinem Herrn, dem König, verleumdet. Jedoch mein Herr, der König, gleicht (an Weisheit) dem Engel Gottes; so tu nun, was dir gefällt!

Porque toda la casa de mi padre era digna de muerte delante de mi señor el rey, y tú pusiste á tu siervo entre los convidados de tu mesa. ¿Qué derecho pues tengo aún para quejarme más contra el rey?

For all of my father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?

Denn da das ganze Haus meines Vaters nichts anderes von meinem Herrn und König hat erwarten dürfen als den Tod und du dennoch deinen Knecht unter deine Tischgenossen aufgenommen hast – welches Recht hätte ich da noch, und was hätte ich da noch vom König zu beanspruchen?«

Y el rey le dijo: ¿Para qué hablas más palabras? Yo he determinado que tú y Siba partáis las tierras.

And the king said unto him, Why speakest thou any more of thy matters? I have said, Thou and Ziba divide the land.

Der König antwortete ihm: »Was machst du da noch Worte? Ich bestimme hiermit: Du und Ziba sollt euch in den Grundbesitz teilen!«

Y Mephi-boseth dijo al rey: Y aun tómelas él todas, pues que mi señor el rey ha vuelto en paz á su casa.

And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king is come again in peace unto his own house.

Da sagte Mephiboseth zum König: »Er mag sogar das Ganze hinnehmen, nachdem mein Herr und König glücklich heimgekehrt ist!«

También Barzillai Galaadita descendió de Rogelim, y pasó el Jordán con el rey, para acompañarle de la otra parte del Jordán.

And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.

Y era Barzillai muy viejo, de ochenta años, el cual había dado provisión al rey cuando estaba en Mahanaim, porque era hombre muy rico.

Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

Barsillai war nämlich sehr alt, ein Mann von achtzig Jahren; und er war’s gewesen, der den König während seines Aufenthalts in Mahanaim (mit Lebensmitteln) versorgt hatte, weil er ein sehr reicher Mann war.

Y el rey dijo á Barzillai: Pasa conmigo, y yo te daré de comer conmigo en Jerusalem.

And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and I will feed thee with me in Jerusalem.

Nun sagte der König zu Barsillai: »Du mußt mit mir hinüberfahren; ich will für deinen Unterhalt bei mir in deinen alten Tagen in Jerusalem sorgen.«

Mas Barzillai dijo al rey: ¿Cuántos son los días del tiempo de mi vida, para que yo suba con el rey á Jerusalem?

And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?

Aber Barsillai erwiderte dem König: »Wie viele sind noch der Tage meiner Lebensjahre, daß ich mit dem König nach Jerusalem hinaufziehen sollte?

Yo soy hoy día de edad de ochenta años, que ya no haré diferencia entre lo bueno y lo malo: ¿tomará gusto ahora tu siervo en lo que comiere ó bebiere? ¿oiré más la voz de los cantores y de las cantoras? ¿para qué, pues, sería aún tu siervo molesto á mi señor el rey?

I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king?

Ich bin jetzt achtzig Jahre alt: wie könnte ich da noch zwischen Gutem und Schlechtem unterscheiden? Kann dein Knecht etwa noch schmecken, was ich esse und trinke? Oder kann ich noch der Stimme der Sänger und Sängerinnen lauschen? Wozu sollte also dein Knecht meinem Herrn, dem König, noch zur Last fallen?

Pasará tu siervo un poco el Jordán con el rey: ¿por qué me ha de dar el rey tan grande recompensa?

Thy servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?

Your servant will just go over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king repay me with such a reward?

Nein, nur eben über den Jordan möchte dein Knecht mit dem König fahren. Und warum will der König mir mit so reichem Lohn vergelten?

Yo te ruego que dejes volver á tu siervo, y que muera en mi ciudad, junto al sepulcro de mi padre y de mi madre. He aquí tu siervo Chimham; que pase él con mi señor el rey, y hazle lo que bien te pareciere.

Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.

Please let your servant turn back again, that I may die in my own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good to you.”

Laß doch deinen Knecht heimkehren, damit ich in meiner Vaterstadt beim Grabe meines Vaters und meiner Mutter sterbe! Aber siehe, hier ist (mein Sohn,) dein Knecht Kimham: der mag mit meinem Herrn, dem König, hinüberfahren, und tu an ihm, was du für gut hältst!«

Y el rey dijo: Pues pase conmigo Chimham, y yo haré con él como bien te parezca: y todo lo que tú pidieres de mí, yo lo haré.

And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee.

Der König antwortete: »Ja, Kimham soll mit mir hinüberfahren, und ich will an ihm tun, was dir erfreulich ist, und will dir jeden Wunsch erfüllen!«

Y todo el pueblo pasó el Jordán: y luego que el rey hubo también pasado, el rey besó á Barzillai, y bendíjolo; y él se volvió á su casa.

And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.

Als dann alles Kriegsvolk über den Jordan gesetzt und auch der König hinübergefahren war, küßte dieser den Barsillai und nahm mit Segenswünschen Abschied von ihm; darauf kehrte jener in seinen Wohnort zurück,

El rey entonces pasó á Gilgal, y con él pasó Chimham; y todo el pueblo de Judá, con la mitad del pueblo de Israel, pasaron al rey.

Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

So the king went over to Gilgal, and Chimham went over with him. All the people of Judah brought the king over, and also half the people of Israel.

während der König nach Gilgal weiterfuhr und Kimham ihn begleitete. Das gesamte Kriegsvolk von Juda aber und auch die Hälfte des Kriegsvolkes von Israel war mit dem König hinübergezogen.

Y he aquí todos los varones de Israel vinieron al rey, y le dijeron: ¿Por qué los hombres de Judá, nuestros hermanos, te han llevado, y han hecho pasar el Jordán al rey y á su familia, y á todos los varones de David con él?

And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David’s men with him, over Jordan?

Da kamen plötzlich alle Männer Israels zum König und fragten ihn: »Warum haben unsere Volksgenossen, die Judäer, dich entführt und haben den König mit seiner Familie und seinem ganzen Hofe über den Jordan gebracht?«

Y todos los varones de Judá respondieron á todos los de Israel: Porque el rey es nuestro pariente. Mas ¿por qué os enojáis vosotros de eso? ¿hemos nosotros comido algo del rey? ¿hemos recibido de él algún don?

And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king’s cost? or hath he given us any gift?

All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is a close relative to us. Why then are you angry about this matter? Have we eaten at all at the king’s cost? Or has he given us any gift?”

Da antworteten alle Judäer den Israeliten: »Der König steht uns doch am nächsten! Warum regt ihr euch hierüber so auf? Haben wir etwa auf Kosten des Königs gelebt? Oder hat er uns irgendein Geschenk gemacht?«

Entonces respondieron los varones de Israel, y dijeron á los de Judá: Nosotros tenemos en el rey diez partes, y en el mismo David más que vosotros: ¿por qué pues nos habéis tenido en poco? ¿no hablamos nosotros primero en volver á nuestro rey? Y el razonamiento de los varones de Judá fué más fuerte que el de los varones de Israel.

And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

Aber die Israeliten entgegneten den Judäern: »Wir haben den zehnfachen Anteil am König, und somit haben wir auch an David mehr Anrecht als ihr: warum habt ihr uns also zurückgesetzt? Und haben wir nicht zuerst die Absicht ausgesprochen, unsern König zurückzuholen?« Die Worte der Judäer aber waren darauf noch leidenschaftlicher als die der Israeliten.
