2 Samuel 1

Et il arriva qu'après la mort de Saül, David, étant revenu de la défaite des Amalékites, resta deux jours à Tsiklag.

Y ACONTECIÓ después de la muerte de Saúl, que vuelto David de la derrota de los Amalecitas, estuvo dos días en Siclag:

Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days in Ziklag;

Et le troisième jour, un homme arriva du camp, d'auprès de Saül, les habits déchirés et avec de la poussière sur sa tête ; et lorsqu'il fut arrivé vers David, il se jeta à terre et se prosterna.

Y al tercer día acaeció, que vino uno del campo de Saúl, rotos sus vestidos, y tierra sobre su cabeza: y llegando á David, postróse en tierra, é hizo reverencia.

It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.

Et David lui dit : D'où viens-tu ? Et il lui dit : Je me suis sauvé du camp d'Israël.

Y preguntóle David: ¿De dónde vienes? Y él respondió: Heme escapado del campo de Israel.

And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.

David said to him, “Where do you come from?” He said to him, “I have escaped out of the camp of Israel.”

Et David lui dit : Que s'est-il passé ? Raconte-le moi. Et il dit : Le peuple s'est enfui du champ de bataille, et même un grand nombre d'hommes sont tombés et sont morts, et même Saül et Jonathan son fils sont morts.

Y David le dijo: ¿Qué ha acontecido? ruégote que me lo digas. Y él respondió: El pueblo huyó de la batalla, y también muchos del pueblo cayeron y son muertos: también Saúl y Jonathán su hijo murieron.

And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

David said to him, “How did it go? Please tell me.” He answered, “The people have fled from the battle, and many of the people also have fallen and are dead. Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.”

Et David dit au jeune homme qui lui apportait ces nouvelles : Comment sais-tu que Saül et Jonathan son fils sont morts ?

Y dijo David á aquel mancebo que le daba las nuevas: ¿Cómo sabes que Saúl es muerto, y Jonathán su hijo?

And David said unto the young man that told him, How knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?

David said to the young man who told him, “How do you know that Saul and Jonathan his son are dead?”

Et le jeune homme qui lui rapportait cela dit : Je me trouvais par hasard sur la montagne de Guilboa ; et voici Saül était appuyé sur sa lance, et voici les chars et les cavaliers le serraient de près.

Y el mancebo que le daba las nuevas respondió: Casualmente vine al monte de Gilboa, y hallé á Saúl que estaba recostado sobre su lanza, y venían tras él carros y gente de á caballo.

And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.

The young man who told him said, “As I happened by chance on Mount Gilboa, behold, Saul was leaning on his spear; and behold, the chariots and the horsemen followed close behind him.

Et s'étant retourné, il m'aperçut et m'appela ; et je dis : Me voici !

Y como él miró atrás, vióme y llamóme; y yo dije: Heme aquí.

And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here am I.

When he looked behind him, he saw me and called to me. I answered, ‘Here I am.’

Et il me dit : Qui es-tu ? Et je lui répondis : Je suis un Amalékite.

Y él me dijo: ¿Quién eres tú? Y yo le respondí: Soy Amalecita.

And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

He said to me, ‘Who are you?’ I answered him, ‘I am an Amalekite.’

Et il me dit : Approche-toi et donne-moi la mort, car la cuirasse me serre et la vie est encore tout entière en moi.

Y él me volvió á decir: Yo te ruego que te pongas sobre mí, y me mates, porque me toman angustias, y toda mi alma está aún en mí.

He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.

He said to me, ‘Please stand beside me, and kill me, for anguish has taken hold of me because my life lingers in me.’

Et je m'approchai de lui et le tuai, parce que je savais qu'il ne vivrait pas après être tombé ; et j'ai pris le diadème qui était sur sa tête et le bracelet qu'il avait au bras, et je les apporte ici à mon seigneur.

Yo entonces púseme sobre él, y matélo, porque sabía que no podía vivir después de su caída: y tomé la corona que tenía en su cabeza, y la ajorca que traía en su brazo, y helas traído acá á mi señor.

So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.

So I stood beside him and killed him, because I was sure that he could not live after he had fallen. I took the crown that was on his head and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here to my lord.”

Et David saisit ses vêtements et les déchira, et tous les hommes qui étaient avec lui firent de même.

Entonces David trabando de sus vestidos, rompiólos; y lo mismo hicieron los hombres que estaban con él.

Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:

Et ils menèrent deuil et ils pleurèrent et jeûnèrent jusqu'au soir sur Saül et sur Jonathan, son fils, et sur le peuple de l'Eternel et sur la maison d'Israël, parce qu'ils étaient tombés par l'épée.

Y lloraron y lamentaron, y ayunaron hasta la tarde, por Saúl y por Jonathán su hijo, y por el pueblo de Jehová, y por la casa de Israel: porque habían caído á cuchillo.

And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the LORD, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.

Et David dit au jeune homme qui lui avait apporté ces nouvelles : D'où es-tu ? Et il dit : Je suis fils d'un étranger amalékite.

Y David dijo á aquel mancebo que le había traído las nuevas: ¿De dónde eres tú? Y él respondió: Yo soy hijo de un extranjero, Amalecita.

And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.

David said to the young man who told him, “Where are you from?” He answered, “I am the son of a foreigner, an Amalekite.”

Et David lui dit : Comment n'as-tu pas craint d'avancer ta main et de faire mourir l'oint de l'Eternel ?

Y díjole David: ¿Cómo no tuviste temor de extender tu mano para matar al ungido de Jehová?

And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD’s anointed?

David said to him, “Why were you not afraid to stretch out your hand to destroy the LORD’s anointed?”

Et David appela un de ses gens et lui dit : Approche et frappe-le. Et il le frappa et il mourut.

Entonces llamó David uno de los mancebos, y díjole: Llega, y mátalo. Y él lo hirió, y murió.

And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him that he died.

David called one of the young men and said, “Go near, and cut him down!” He struck him so that he died.

Et David lui dit : Que ton sang retombe sur ta tête, car ta bouche a déposé contre toi, quand tu as dit : C'est moi qui ai fait mourir l'oint de l'Eternel.

Y David le dijo: Tu sangre sea sobre tu cabeza, pues que tu boca atestiguó contra ti, diciendo: Yo maté al ungido de Jehová.

And David said unto him, Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD’s anointed.

David said to him, “Your blood be on your head, for your mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have slain the LORD’s anointed.’”

Et David fit cette complainte sur Saül et sur Jonathan, son fils.

Y endechó David á Saúl y á Jonathán su hijo con esta endecha.

And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:

Et il ordonna de l'enseigner aux fils de Juda ; c'est le †chant de l'arc ; il se trouve écrit dans le livre du Juste.

(Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)

Ton élite, ô Israël, a été percée sur tes hauteurs. Comment sont tombés des héros ?

¡Perecido ha la gloria de Israel sobre tus montañas! ¡Cómo han caído los valientes!

The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!

“Your glory, Israel, was slain on your high places! How the mighty have fallen!

Ne l'annoncez pas à Gath, Ne le publiez pas dans les rues d'Askalon, De peur que les filles des Philistins ne s'en réjouissent, De peur que les filles des incirconcis ne sautent de joie.

No lo denunciéis en Gath, no deis las nuevas en las plazas de Ascalón; porque no se alegren las hijas de los Filisteos, porque no salten de gozo las hijas de los incircuncisos.

Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.

Montagnes de Guilboa, qu'il n'y ait sur vous ni rosée ni pluie Ni champs d'offrandes ; Car c'est là qu'a été jeté le bouclier des héros, Le bouclier de Saül qui n'est plus oint d'huile.

Montes de Gilboa, ni rocío ni lluvia caiga sobre vosotros, ni seáis tierras de ofrendas; porque allí fué desechado el escudo de los valientes, el escudo de Saúl, como si no hubiera sido ungido con aceite.

Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.

L'arc de Jonathan ne se retirait pas Sans †avoir fait couler le sang des blessés, Sans †avoir transpercé la graisse des héros ; L'épée de Saül ne revenait pas sans avoir frappé.

Sin sangre de muertos, sin grosura de valientes, el arco de Jonathán nunca volvió, ni la espada de Saúl se tornó vacía.

From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty.

Saül et Jonathan, chéris et aimables pendant leur vie, N'ont point été séparés dans leur mort. Ils étaient plus légers que les aigles, Ils étaient plus forts que les lions.
