2 Samuel 21

Or il y eut du temps de David une famine qui dura trois ans de suite. Et David rechercha la face de l’Eternel ; et l’Eternel lui répondit : C’est à cause de Saül et de sa maison sanguinaire ; parce qu’il a fait mourir les Gabaonites.

Y EN los días de David hubo hambre por tres años consecutivos. Y David consultó á Jehová, y Jehová le dijo: Es por Saúl, y por aquella casa de sangre; porque mató á los Gabaonitas.

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

There was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David sought the face of the LORD. The LORD said, “It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put the Gibeonites to death.”

Alors le Roi appela les Gabaonites pour leur parler. Or les Gabaonites n’étaient point des enfants d’Israël, mais un reste des Amorrhéens ; et les enfants d’Israël leur avaient juré de les laisser vivre; mais Saül par un zèle qu’il avait pour les enfants d’Israël et de Juda, avait cherché de les faire mourir.

Entonces el rey llamó á los Gabaonitas, y hablóles. (Los Gabaonitas no eran de los hijos de Israel, sino del residuo de los Amorrheos, á los cuales los hijos de Israel habían hecho juramento: mas Saúl había procurado matarlos con motivo de celo por los hijos de Israel y de Judá.)

And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)

Et David dit aux Gabaonites : Que vous ferai-je, et par quel moyen vous apaiserai-je ; afin que vous bénissiez l’héritage de l’Eternel ?

Dijo pues David á los Gabaonitas: ¿Qué os haré, y con qué expiaré para que bendigáis á la heredad de Jehová?

Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?

and David said to the Gibeonites, “What should I do for you? And with what should I make atonement, that you may bless the LORD’s inheritance?”

Et les Gabaonites lui répondirent : Nous n’avons à faire ni de l’or ni de l’argent de Saül et de sa maison, ni qu’on fasse mourir personne en Israël. Et le Roi leur dit : Que demandez-vous donc que je fasse pour vous ?

Y los Gabaonitas le respondieron: No tenemos nosotros querella sobre plata ni sobre oro con Saúl y con su casa: ni queremos que muera hombre de Israel. Y él les dijo: Lo que vosotros dijereis os haré.

And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.

The Gibeonites said to him, “It is no matter of silver or gold between us and Saul or his house; neither is it for us to put any man to death in Israel.” He said, “I will do for you whatever you say.”

Et ils répondirent au Roi : Quant à cet homme qui nous a détruits, et qui a machiné contre nous, en sorte que nous ayons été exterminés, sans pouvoir subsister dans aucune des contrées d’Israël ;

Y ellos respondieron al rey: De aquel hombre que nos destruyó, y que maquinó contra nosotros, para extirparnos sin dejar nada de nosotros en todo el término de Israel;

And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,

Qu’on nous livre sept hommes de ses fils, et nous les mettrons en croix devant l’Eternel, au coteau de Saül, l’Elu de l’Eternel. Et le Roi leur dit : Je vous les livrerai.

Dénsenos siete varones de sus hijos, para que los ahorquemos á Jehová en Gabaa de Saúl, el escogido de Jehová. Y el rey dijo: Yo los daré.

Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.

Or le Roi épargna Méphiboseth fils de Jonathan, fils de Saül, à cause du serment que David et Jonathan fils de Saül avaient fait entr’eux au nom de l’Eternel.

Y perdonó el rey á Mephi-boseth, hijo de Jonathán, hijo de Saúl, por el juramento de Jehová que hubo entre ellos, entre David y Jonathán hijo de Saúl.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD’s oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

Mais le Roi prit les deux fils de Ritspa fille d’Aja, qu’elle avait enfantés à Saül, savoir Armoni et Méphiboseth, et les cinq fils de Mical fille de Saül, qu’elle avait nourris à Hadriel fils de Barzillaï Méholathite.

Mas tomó el rey dos hijos de Rispa hija de Aja, los cuales ella había parido á Saúl, á saber, á Armoni y á Mephi-boseth; y cinco hijos de Michâl hija de Saúl, los cuales ella había parido á Adriel, hijo de Barzillai Molathita;

But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:

But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bore to Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Merab the daughter of Saul, whom she bore to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite.

Et il les livra entre les mains des Gabaonites, qui les mirent en croix sur la montagne devant l’Eternel ; et ces sept-là furent tués ensemble, et on les fit mourir aux premiers jours de la moisson, savoir au commencement de la moisson des orges.

Y entrególos en manos de los Gabaonitas, y ellos los ahorcaron en el monte delante de Jehová: y murieron juntos aquellos siete, los cuales fueron muertos en el tiempo de la siega, en los primeros días, en el principio de la siega de las cebadas.

And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.

Alors Ritspa fille d’Aja prit un sac, et le tendit pour elle au dessus d’un rocher, depuis le commencement de la moisson jusqu’à ce qu’il tombât de l’eau du ciel sur eux ; et elle ne souffrait point qu’aucun oiseau des cieux se posât sur eux de jour, ni aucune bête des champs la nuit.

Tomando luego Rispa hija de Aja un saco, tendióselo sobre un peñasco, desde el principio de la siega hasta que llovió sobre ellos agua del cielo; y no dejó á ninguna ave del cielo asentarse sobre ellos de día, ni bestias del campo de noche.

And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.

Et on rapporta à David ce que Ritspa, fille d’Aja, concubine de Saül, avait fait.

Y fué dicho á David lo que hacía Rispa hija de Aja, concubina de Saúl.

And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.

Et David s’en alla, et prit les os de Saül, et les os de Jonathan son fils, que les habitants de Jabés de Galaad avaient enlevés de la place de Beth-san, où les Philistins les avaient pendus, le jour qu’ils avaient tué Saül en Guilboah.

Entonces David fué, y tomó los huesos de Saúl y los huesos de Jonathán su hijo, de los hombres de Jabes de Galaad, que los habían hurtado de la plaza de Beth-san, donde los habían colgado los Filisteos, cuando deshicieron los Filisteos á Saúl en Gilboa:

And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, which had stolen them from the street of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:

So David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh Gilead, who had stolen them from the street of Beth Shan, where the Philistines had hanged them in the day that the Philistines killed Saul in Gilboa;

Il emporta donc de là les os de Saül, et les os de Jonathan son fils. On recueillit aussi les os de ceux qui avaient été mis en croix ;

E hizo llevar de allí los huesos de Saúl y los huesos de Jonathán su hijo; y juntaron también los huesos de los ahorcados.

And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.

and he brought up from there the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son. They also gathered the bones of those who were hanged.

Et on les ensevelit avec les os de Saül et de Jonathan son fils au pays de Benjamin, à Tsélah, dans le sépulcre de Kis père de Saül ; et on fit tout ce que le Roi avait commandé. Et après cela, Dieu fut apaisé envers le pays.

Y sepultaron los huesos de Saúl y los de su hijo Jonathán en tierra de Benjamín, en Sela, en el sepulcro de Cis su padre; é hicieron todo lo que el rey había mandado. Después se aplacó Dios con la tierra.

And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.

Or il y avait eu aussi une autre guerre des Philistins contre les Israélites ; et David y était allé, et ses serviteurs avec lui, et ils avaient tellement combattu contre les Philistins, que David défaillait.

Y como los Filisteos tornaron á hacer guerra á Israel, descendió David y sus siervos con él, y pelearon con los Filisteos: y David se cansó.

Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.

Et Jisbi-benob, qui était des enfants de Rapha, et qui avait une lance dont le fer pesait trois cents sicles d’airain, et qui était armé d’une nouvelle manière, avait résolu de frapper David.

En esto Isbi-benob, el cual era de los hijos del gigante, y el peso de cuya lanza era de trescientos siclos de metal, y tenía él ceñida una nueva espada, trató de herir á David:

And Ishbi-benob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.

and Ishbibenob, who was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear was three hundred shekels of bronze in weight, he being armed with a new sword, thought he would kill David.

Mais Abisaï fils de Tséruja vint à son secours, et frappa le Philistin, et le tua. Alors les gens de David jurèrent, en disant : Tu ne sortiras plus avec nous en bataille, de peur que tu n’éteignes la Lampe d’Israël.

Mas Abisai hijo de Sarvia le socorrió, é hirió al Filisteo, y matólo. Entonces los hombres de David le juraron, diciendo: Nunca más de aquí adelante saldrás con nosotros á batalla, porque no apagues la lámpara de Israel.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and struck the Philistine and killed him. Then the men of David swore to him, saying, “Don’t go out with us to battle any more, so that you don’t quench the lamp of Israel.”

Après cela il y eut une autre guerre à Gob contre les Philistins, où Sibbécaï le Husathite frappa Saph, qui était des enfants de Rapha.

Otra segunda guerra hubo después en Gob contra los Filisteos: entonces Sibechâi Husathita hirió á Saph, que era de los hijos del gigante.

And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.

Il y eut encore une autre guerre à Gob contre les Philistins, en laquelle Elhanan, fils de Jaharé Oreguim Bethléhémite frappa le frère de Goliath Guittien, qui avait une hallebarde dont la hampe était comme l’ensuble d’un tisserand.

Otra guerra hubo en Gob contra los Filisteos, en la cual Elhanan, hijo de Jaare-oregim de Beth-lehem, hirió á Goliath Getheo, el asta de cuya lanza era como un enjullo de telar.

And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, a Beth-lehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

There was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite’s brother, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

Il y eut encore une autre guerre à Gath, où il se trouva un homme d’une taille extraordinaire, qui avait six doigts à chaque main, et six orteils à chaque pied, en tout vingt et quatre, lequel était aussi de la race de Rapha.

Después hubo otra guerra en Gath, donde hubo un hombre de grande altura, el cual tenía doce dedos en las manos, y otros doce en los pies, veinticuatro en todos: y también era de los hijos del gigante.

And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

There was again war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had six fingers on every hand and six toes on every foot, twenty-four in number, and he also was born to the giant.

Cet homme défia Israël ; mais Jonathan fils de Simha, frère de David, le tua.

Este desafió á Israel, y matólo Jonathán, hijo de Sima hermano de David.

And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea the brother of David slew him.

When he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimei, David’s brother, killed him.

Ces quatre-là naquirent à Gath, de la race de Rapha, et moururent par les mains de David, ou par les mains de ses serviteurs.

Estos cuatro le habían nacido al gigante en Gath, los cuales cayeron por la mano de David, y por la mano de sus siervos.

These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
