2 Samuel 21

Houve uma grande fome por todo o reino de Davi durante três anos seguidos. Davi orou muito ao Senhor pedindo solução para esse problema. Então o Senhor lhe disse: “O período de fome caiu sobre o seu reino por causa do crime cometido por Saul e sua família. Eles mataram os gibeonitas; houve muito sangue derramado”.

Y EN los días de David hubo hambre por tres años consecutivos. Y David consultó á Jehová, y Jehová le dijo: Es por Saúl, y por aquella casa de sangre; porque mató á los Gabaonitas.

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

There was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David sought the face of the LORD. The LORD said, “It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put the Gibeonites to death.”

Assim Davi convocou os gibeonitas e falou com eles. Eles não faziam parte do povo de Israel, porém era o povo que havia restado da nação dos amorreus. Israel havia feito um acordo para poupar esse povo; Saul, porém, em seu exagerado zelo patriótico, procurou destruí-los.

Entonces el rey llamó á los Gabaonitas, y hablóles. (Los Gabaonitas no eran de los hijos de Israel, sino del residuo de los Amorrheos, á los cuales los hijos de Israel habían hecho juramento: mas Saúl había procurado matarlos con motivo de celo por los hijos de Israel y de Judá.)

And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)

Davi perguntou aos gibeonitas: “Que farei por vocês para compensar o mal que Saul fez a vocês? Que faremos para que vocês se ajuntem a nós para que abençoem a herança do Senhor?”

Dijo pues David á los Gabaonitas: ¿Qué os haré, y con qué expiaré para que bendigáis á la heredad de Jehová?

Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?

and David said to the Gibeonites, “What should I do for you? And with what should I make atonement, that you may bless the LORD’s inheritance?”

Os gibeonitas responderam: “A nossa questão em relação à família de Saul não é prata ou ouro, e também não pretendemos matar qualquer israelita para que sejamos vingados”. “Que farei, então?”, perguntou Davi.

Y los Gabaonitas le respondieron: No tenemos nosotros querella sobre plata ni sobre oro con Saúl y con su casa: ni queremos que muera hombre de Israel. Y él les dijo: Lo que vosotros dijereis os haré.

And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.

The Gibeonites said to him, “It is no matter of silver or gold between us and Saul or his house; neither is it for us to put any man to death in Israel.” He said, “I will do for you whatever you say.”

Eles responderam ao rei: “Quanto ao homem que tudo fez para nos destruir e quase nos eliminou de todo o território de Israel,

And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,

dê-nos sete descendentes de Saul, para que os enforquemos diante do Senhor, em Gibeá, a cidade onde nasceu Saul, o rei escolhido pelo Senhor”. E o rei disse: “Farei o que me pedem”.

Dénsenos siete varones de sus hijos, para que los ahorquemos á Jehová en Gabaa de Saúl, el escogido de Jehová. Y el rey dijo: Yo los daré.

Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.

Davi poupou Mefibosete, filho de Jônatas e neto de Saul, por causa do juramento feito diante do Senhor entre ele, Davi, e Jônatas, filho de Saul.

Y perdonó el rey á Mephi-boseth, hijo de Jonathán, hijo de Saúl, por el juramento de Jehová que hubo entre ellos, entre David y Jonathán hijo de Saúl.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD’s oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

Porém o rei entregou aos gibeonitas os dois filhos de Rispa, Armoni e Mefibosete. Rispa era filha de Aiá, uma das esposas de Saul. Também entregou mais outros cinco netos de Saul, filhos de sua filha Merabe e seu esposo Adriel, filho de Barzilai, de Meolá.

Mas tomó el rey dos hijos de Rispa hija de Aja, los cuales ella había parido á Saúl, á saber, á Armoni y á Mephi-boseth; y cinco hijos de Michâl hija de Saúl, los cuales ella había parido á Adriel, hijo de Barzillai Molathita;

But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:

Os homens de Gibeom levaram os sete netos de Saul para a montanha, e lá, diante do Senhor, foram todos enforcados ao mesmo tempo. Isso se deu justamente no começo da colheita de cevada.

Y entrególos en manos de los Gabaonitas, y ellos los ahorcaron en el monte delante de Jehová: y murieron juntos aquellos siete, los cuales fueron muertos en el tiempo de la siega, en los primeros días, en el principio de la siega de las cebadas.

And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.

Então Rispa, a mãe de dois dos enforcados, filha de Aiá, forrou uma rocha com pano de saco e ali se assentou desde o início da colheita até cair chuva do céu, para guardar os corpos dos seus filhos, evitando assim que as aves de rapina os devorassem de dia, e os animais selvagens de noite.

Tomando luego Rispa hija de Aja un saco, tendióselo sobre un peñasco, desde el principio de la siega hasta que llovió sobre ellos agua del cielo; y no dejó á ninguna ave del cielo asentarse sobre ellos de día, ni bestias del campo de noche.

And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.

Quando Davi soube da atitude de Rispa, filha de Aiá, concubina de Saul,

Y fué dicho á David lo que hacía Rispa hija de Aja, concubina de Saúl.

And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.

mandou uma ordem aos homens de Jabes-Gileade para trazerem a ele os ossos de Saul e de Jônatas. Os homens de Jabes-Gileade haviam roubado os corpos de Saul e de Jônatas da praça pública em Bete-Seã, onde os filisteus os expuseram no dia em que mataram Saul no monte Gilboa.

Entonces David fué, y tomó los huesos de Saúl y los huesos de Jonathán su hijo, de los hombres de Jabes de Galaad, que los habían hurtado de la plaza de Beth-san, donde los habían colgado los Filisteos, cuando deshicieron los Filisteos á Saúl en Gilboa:

And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, which had stolen them from the street of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:

So David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh Gilead, who had stolen them from the street of Beth Shan, where the Philistines had hanged them in the day that the Philistines killed Saul in Gilboa;

Davi trouxe os ossos de Saul e de seu filho Jônatas, junto com os ossos dos que foram executados.

E hizo llevar de allí los huesos de Saúl y los huesos de Jonathán su hijo; y juntaron también los huesos de los ahorcados.

And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.

and he brought up from there the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son. They also gathered the bones of those who were hanged.

Enterraram os ossos de Saul e de Jônatas na sepultura de Quis, pai de Saul, em Zela, na terra de Benjamim, conforme a ordem do rei. Então Deus atendeu às orações do seu povo, e o período de fome acabou.

Y sepultaron los huesos de Saúl y los de su hijo Jonathán en tierra de Benjamín, en Sela, en el sepulcro de Cis su padre; é hicieron todo lo que el rey había mandado. Después se aplacó Dios con la tierra.

And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.

Certa vez, quando os filisteus faziam guerra contra Israel, Davi saiu com seus homens para defender-se deles. A luta foi tão intensa que Davi começou a perder as forças, por estar muito cansado,

Y como los Filisteos tornaron á hacer guerra á Israel, descendió David y sus siervos con él, y pelearon con los Filisteos: y David se cansó.

Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.

e Isbi-Benobe, descendente de Rafa, um gigante que usava um novo tipo de armadura e lutava com uma lança de bronze cuja ponta pesava três quilos e seiscentos gramas, tinha a intenção de matar Davi.

En esto Isbi-benob, el cual era de los hijos del gigante, y el peso de cuya lanza era de trescientos siclos de metal, y tenía él ceñida una nueva espada, trató de herir á David:

And Ishbi-benob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.

and Ishbibenob, who was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear was three hundred shekels of bronze in weight, he being armed with a new sword, thought he would kill David.

Mas Abisai, filho de Zeruia, veio em seu auxílio e matou o gigante filisteu. Por isso os soldados de Davi disseram-lhe: “O senhor não sairá mais conosco para lutar! Não queremos pôr em risco a vida do rei; não queremos que se apague a lâmpada de Israel”.

Mas Abisai hijo de Sarvia le socorrió, é hirió al Filisteo, y matólo. Entonces los hombres de David le juraron, diciendo: Nunca más de aquí adelante saldrás con nosotros á batalla, porque no apagues la lámpara de Israel.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and struck the Philistine and killed him. Then the men of David swore to him, saying, “Don’t go out with us to battle any more, so that you don’t quench the lamp of Israel.”

Mais tarde, houve novamente guerra com os filisteus em Gobe; nessa ocasião, Sibecai, o husatita, matou Safe, um dos descendentes de Rafa.

Otra segunda guerra hubo después en Gob contra los Filisteos: entonces Sibechâi Husathita hirió á Saph, que era de los hijos del gigante.

And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.

Em outra ocasião, nesse mesmo lugar, Elanã, filho de Jaaré-Oregim, matou o outro gigante, que era irmão de Golias, de Gate; este gigante trazia na mão uma lança que tinha um cabo como o eixo de tecelão!

Otra guerra hubo en Gob contra los Filisteos, en la cual Elhanan, hijo de Jaare-oregim de Beth-lehem, hirió á Goliath Getheo, el asta de cuya lanza era como un enjullo de telar.

And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, a Beth-lehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

There was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite’s brother, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

Em outra batalha, quando os filisteus e Israel estavam guerreando em Gate, havia um gigante com seis dedos em cada mão e seis dedos em cada pé, vinte e quatro dedos ao todo. Ele também era descendente de Rafa,

Después hubo otra guerra en Gath, donde hubo un hombre de grande altura, el cual tenía doce dedos en las manos, y otros doce en los pies, veinticuatro en todos: y también era de los hijos del gigante.

And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

e desafiou os homens de Israel. Então Jônatas, filho de Simeia, irmão de Davi, matou esse gigante.

Este desafió á Israel, y matólo Jonathán, hijo de Sima hermano de David.

And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea the brother of David slew him.

When he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimei, David’s brother, killed him.

Esses quatro gigantes, descendentes de Rafa, foram mortos por Davi e seus soldados em Gate.

Estos cuatro le habían nacido al gigante en Gath, los cuales cayeron por la mano de David, y por la mano de sus siervos.

These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
