2 Samuel 21

Il y eut une famine du temps de David, durant trois années consécutives. David consulta le Seigneur, qui répondit: "C'est à cause de Saül, de cette maison de sang, qui a fait périr les Gabaonites."

Y EN los días de David hubo hambre por tres años consecutivos. Y David consultó á Jehová, y Jehová le dijo: Es por Saúl, y por aquella casa de sangre; porque mató á los Gabaonitas.

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

Le roi manda les Gabaonites et leur parla (les Gabaonites ne faisaient pas partie des enfants d'Israël, mais des Amorréens survivants; les Israélites les avaient épargnés par serment, mais Saül, dans son zèle pour Israël et pour Juda, avait entrepris de les frapper);

Entonces el rey llamó á los Gabaonitas, y hablóles. (Los Gabaonitas no eran de los hijos de Israel, sino del residuo de los Amorrheos, á los cuales los hijos de Israel habían hecho juramento: mas Saúl había procurado matarlos con motivo de celo por los hijos de Israel y de Judá.)

And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)

David donc dit aux Gabaonites: "Que dois-je faire pour vous et quelle expiation vous offrir, pour que vous bénissiez l'héritage du Seigneur?"

Dijo pues David á los Gabaonitas: ¿Qué os haré, y con qué expiaré para que bendigáis á la heredad de Jehová?

Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?

and David said to the Gibeonites, “What should I do for you? And with what should I make atonement, that you may bless the LORD’s inheritance?”

Les Gabaonites lui répondirent: "Nous n'avons ni argent ni or à réclamer de Saül et de sa maison, ni aucun homme à faire mourir en Israël." Et il dit: "Que voulez-vous donc? Je vous l'accorderai."

Y los Gabaonitas le respondieron: No tenemos nosotros querella sobre plata ni sobre oro con Saúl y con su casa: ni queremos que muera hombre de Israel. Y él les dijo: Lo que vosotros dijereis os haré.

And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.

The Gibeonites said to him, “It is no matter of silver or gold between us and Saul or his house; neither is it for us to put any man to death in Israel.” He said, “I will do for you whatever you say.”

Dénsenos siete varones de sus hijos, para que los ahorquemos á Jehová en Gabaa de Saúl, el escogido de Jehová. Y el rey dijo: Yo los daré.

Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.

Le roi épargna Mephiboseth, fils de Jonathan, petit-fils de Saül, à cause du serment solennel qu'ils avaient échangé, lui, David, et Jonathan, fils de Saül,

Y perdonó el rey á Mephi-boseth, hijo de Jonathán, hijo de Saúl, por el juramento de Jehová que hubo entre ellos, entre David y Jonathán hijo de Saúl.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD’s oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:

Et il les remit aux Gabaonites, qui les pendirent sur la montagne devant le Seigneur, et tous les sept périrent ensemble. Ils furent mis à mort dans les premiers jours de la moisson, au commencement de la récolte des orges.

And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, which had stolen them from the street of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:

Il retira de là les ossements de Saül et ceux de Jonathan, son fils, et l'on recueillit aussi les ossements des suppliciés.

E hizo llevar de allí los huesos de Saúl y los huesos de Jonathán su hijo; y juntaron también los huesos de los ahorcados.

And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.

On enterra les restes de Saül et de Jonathan dans le pays de Benjamin, à Cêla, dans le sépulcre de Kich, père de Saül, et l'on se conforma à tout ce que le roi avait ordonné. Dieu redevint alors favorable au pays.

And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.

Les Philistins eurent de nouveau la guerre avec les Israélites. David y alla, accompagné de ses serviteurs, et ils combattirent les Philistins; David éprouva une défaillance.

Y como los Filisteos tornaron á hacer guerra á Israel, descendió David y sus siervos con él, y pelearon con los Filisteos: y David se cansó.

Alors Yichbi de Nob (un descendant du Rapha, sa lance, en airain, pesait trois cents sicles, et il était équipé de neuf) entreprit de tuer David.

En esto Isbi-benob, el cual era de los hijos del gigante, y el peso de cuya lanza era de trescientos siclos de metal, y tenía él ceñida una nueva espada, trató de herir á David:

And Ishbi-benob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.

Mais Abisaï, fils de Cerouya, vint à son secours et frappa mortellement le Philistin. Sur quoi les gens de David l'adjurèrent en disant: "Ne va plus à la guerre avec nous, afin de ne pas éteindre le flambeau d'Israël."

Mas Abisai hijo de Sarvia le socorrió, é hirió al Filisteo, y matólo. Entonces los hombres de David le juraron, diciendo: Nunca más de aquí adelante saldrás con nosotros á batalla, porque no apagues la lámpara de Israel.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and struck the Philistine and killed him. Then the men of David swore to him, saying, “Don’t go out with us to battle any more, so that you don’t quench the lamp of Israel.”

Plus tard survint, à Gob, une nouvelle guerre avec les Philistins, dans laquelle Sibbekhaï, de Houcha, vainquit Saf, autre descendant du Rapha.

Otra segunda guerra hubo después en Gob contra los Filisteos: entonces Sibechâi Husathita hirió á Saph, que era de los hijos del gigante.

And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.

Otra guerra hubo en Gob contra los Filisteos, en la cual Elhanan, hijo de Jaare-oregim de Beth-lehem, hirió á Goliath Getheo, el asta de cuya lanza era como un enjullo de telar.

And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, a Beth-lehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

There was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite’s brother, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

Une autre guerre eut lieu à Gath, où figura un homme de haute taille, qui avait six doigts à chaque main, six à chaque pied, en tout vingt-quatre, et qui, lui aussi, était issu du Rapin.

Il défia Israël, et fut tué par Jonathan, fils de Chimea et neveu de David.

Tous ces quatre étaient nés au Rapha dans Gath; tous périrent par la main de David et par celle de ses serviteurs.
