I legami del soggiorno de’ morti m’aveano attorniato, i lacci della morte m’aveano còlto.

Me rodearon los dolores del infierno, y me tomaron descuidado lazos de muerte.

The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me.
