Y HABLÓ David á Jehová las palabras de este cántico, el día que Jehová le había librado de la mano de todos sus enemigos, y de la mano de Saúl.

Dieu est le roc où je me retire, Mon bouclier et la corne de mon salut, Ma haute retraite et mon refuge. Mon Sauveur ! tu me sauves de la violence !
Dios de mi roca, en él confiaré: mi escudo, y el cuerno de mi salud, mi fortaleza, y mi refugio; mi salvador, que me librarás de violencia.
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

Dans mon angoisse, j'invoquai l'Eternel, Et je criai à mon Dieu ; De son palais, il entendit ma voix, Et mon cri parvint à ses oreilles.
Tuve angustia, invoqué á Jehová, y clamé á mi Dios: y él oyó mi voz desde su templo; llegó mi clamor á sus oídos.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.

Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.

Avec celui qui est bon, tu te montres bon, Avec l'homme droit, tu te montres droit.
Con el bueno eres benigno, y con el íntegro te muestras íntegro;
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.
With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect.
Avec celui qui est pur, tu te montres pur, Et avec l'homme fourbe, tu agis perfidement.
Limpio eres para con el limpio, mas con el perverso eres rígido.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.
With the pure you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.
Tu sauves le peuple affligé, Et de ton regard tu abaisses les hautains.
Y tú salvas al pueblo humilde; mas tus ojos sobre los altivos, para abatirlos.
And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
You will save the afflicted people, but your eyes are on the arrogant, that you may bring them down.
Car tu as été mon flambeau, ô Eternel ! L'Eternel a éclairé mes ténèbres.
Porque tú eres mi lámpara, oh Jehová: Jehová da luz á mis tinieblas.
For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
For you are my lamp, LORD. The LORD will light up my darkness.
Car avec toi je me suis jeté sur une troupe, Avec mon Dieu j'ai franchi la muraille.
Porque en ti romperé ejércitos, y con mi Dios saltaré las murallas.
For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.

Les voies de Dieu sont parfaites. La parole de l'Eternel est éprouvée au feu ; Il est un bouclier pour tous ceux qui se retirent vers lui.
Dios, perfecto su camino: la palabra de Jehová purificada, escudo es de todos los que en él esperan.
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
As for God, his way is perfect. The LORD’s word is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
Car qui est Dieu, hormis l'Eternel, Et qui est un rocher, si ce n'est notre Dieu ?
Porque ¿qué Dios hay sino Jehová? ¿ó quién es fuerte sino nuestro Dios?
For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

Dieu est ma forte citadelle, Et il conduit l'homme intègre sur sa voie ;
Dios es el que con virtud me corrobora, y el que despeja mi camino;
God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Il rend ses pieds semblables à ceux des biches Et il me fait tenir debout sur mes hauteurs.
El que hace mis pies como de ciervas, y el que me asienta en mis alturas;
He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.

Il forme mes mains au combat, Et mes bras tendent l'arc d'airain.
El que enseña mis manos para la pelea, y da que con mis brazos quiebre el arco de acero.
He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
Tu me donnes ton secours pour bouclier, Et ta condescendance m'agrandit.
Tú me diste asimismo el escudo de tu salud, y tu benignidad me ha acrecentado.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your gentleness has made me great.
Tu élargis le chemin sous mes pas, Et les chevilles de mes pieds n'ont pas vacillé.
Tú ensanchaste mis pasos debajo de mí, para que no titubeasen mis rodillas.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
You have enlarged my steps under me. My feet have not slipped.
Je poursuis mes ennemis, et je les détruis ; Je ne reviens pas que je ne les aie achevés.
Perseguiré á mis enemigos, y quebrantarélos; y no me volveré hasta que los acabe.
I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.

For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.
For you have armed me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
Tu m'as fait voir le dos de mes ennemis, Et ceux qui me haïssent, je les anéantis.
Tú me diste la cerviz de mis enemigos, de mis aborrecedores, y que yo los destruyese.
Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

Tu me délivres des querelles de mon peuple, Tu me conserves pour être chef des nations. Des peuples que je ne connaissais pas me servent.
Tú me libraste de contiendas de pueblos: tú me guardaste para que fuese cabeza de gentes: pueblos que no conocía, me sirvieron.
Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people. You have kept me to be the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.
Les fils de l'étranger me flattent ; Sitôt que leur oreille a ouï, ils m'obéissent.
Los extraños titubeaban á mí: en oyendo, me obedecían.
Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me.
Les fils de l'étranger défaillent Et ils se ceignent en abandonnant leurs remparts.
Los extraños desfallecían, y temblaban en sus escondrijos.
Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.
The foreigners will fade away, and will come trembling out of their close places.
Que l'Eternel vive et que béni soit mon rocher ! Que le Dieu, rocher de mon salut, soit exalté !
Viva Jehová, y sea bendita mi roca; sea ensalzado el Dios, la roca de mi salvamento:
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

Le Dieu qui m'accorde des vengeances, Qui abaisse les peuples sous moi,
El Dios que me ha vengado, y sujeta los pueblos debajo de mí;
It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
even the God who executes vengeance for me, who brings down peoples under me,
Qui m'arrache à mes ennemis ! Qui m'élève au-dessus de mes adversaires ! Tu me délivres de l'homme violent.
Y que me saca de entre mis enemigos: tú me sacaste en alto de entre los que se levantaron contra mí: librásteme del varón de iniquidades.
And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
who brings me away from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
C'est pourquoi je te célébrerai, ô Eternel, parmi les nations, Et je chanterai ton nom !
Por tanto yo te confesaré entre las gentes, oh Jehová, y cantaré á tu nombre.
Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

Il accorde de grandes délivrances à son roi, Et il use de bonté envers son oint, Envers David et sa postérité à toujours.
El que engrandece las saludes de su rey, y hace misericordia á su ungido, á David, y á su simiente, para siempre.
He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.”
