Y HABLÓ David á Jehová las palabras de este cántico, el día que Jehová le había librado de la mano de todos sus enemigos, y de la mano de Saúl.

Mon Dieu sera mon gardien, je me confierai à lui ; mon protecteur, mon salut, mon refuge, vous me sauverez de l'homme inique.
Dios de mi roca, en él confiaré: mi escudo, y el cuerno de mi salud, mi fortaleza, y mi refugio; mi salvador, que me librarás de violencia.
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

Les angoisses de la mort m'ont entouré, l'agonie de la mort a pris l'avance sur moi.

The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me.
Dans mes afflictions j'invoquerai le Seigneur, je crierai à mon Dieu ; de son temple, il entendra ma voix, mes cris arriveront à ses oreilles.
Tuve angustia, invoqué á Jehová, y clamé á mi Dios: y él oyó mi voz desde su templo; llegó mi clamor á sus oídos.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.

La terre a été troublée, et elle a tremblé ; les fondements du ciel ont été bouleversés, et ils se sont déchirés, parce que la colère du Seigneur a éclaté contre la terre et le ciel.

Con el bueno eres benigno, y con el íntegro te muestras íntegro;

With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect.
Avec l'excellent vous serez excellent, avec le méchant vous serez méchant.
Limpio eres para con el limpio, mas con el perverso eres rígido.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.

Car, ô Seigneur, vous êtes ma lumière, et le Seigneur brillera devant moi dans mes ténèbres.
Porque tú eres mi lámpara, oh Jehová: Jehová da luz á mis tinieblas.
For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.

Avec votre aide je courrai comme un homme fort ; avec l'aide de mon Dieu je franchirai des remparts.
Porque en ti romperé ejércitos, y con mi Dios saltaré las murallas.
For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.

Le Tout-Puissant, ses voies sont irréprochables ; la parole du Seigneur est forte, éprouvée par le feu. Le Seigneur abrite tous ceux qui ont foi en lui.
Dios, perfecto su camino: la palabra de Jehová purificada, escudo es de todos los que en él esperan.
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
As for God, his way is perfect. The LORD’s word is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
Qui donc est fort, hormis le Seigneur ? Qui donc sera créateur, hormis notre Dieu ?

Le Tout-Puissant, c'est lui qui me fortifie par sa puissance, et qui m'a préparé une voie irréprochable.
Dios es el que con virtud me corrobora, y el que despeja mi camino;
God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Il rendu mes pieds légers comme ceux des cerfs ; il m'a placé sur les hauts lieux.

Vous avez exercé mes mains aux combats ; vous avez brisé par mon bras un arc d'airain.
El que enseña mis manos para la pelea, y da que con mis brazos quiebre el arco de acero.
He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Vous m'avez donné, Seigneur, le bouclier qui me sauve ; mon obéissance à vos ordres m'a grandi.
Tú me diste asimismo el escudo de tu salud, y tu benignidad me ha acrecentado.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.

L'espace sous mes pas s'est étendu, et mes jambes ont conservé leur fermeté.
Tú ensanchaste mis pasos debajo de mí, para que no titubeasen mis rodillas.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
You have enlarged my steps under me. My feet have not slipped.
Je poursuivrai mes ennemis, et je les effacerai, et je ne reviendrai point qu'ils ne soient anéantis.
Perseguiré á mis enemigos, y quebrantarélos; y no me volveré hasta que los acabe.
I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.

For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.

Vous m'avez fait voir le dos de mes ennemis, vous avez mis à mort ceux qui me haïssaient.
Tú me diste la cerviz de mis enemigos, de mis aborrecedores, y que yo los destruyese.
Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

Vous me préserverez, ô Seigneur, des contradictions des peuples ; et vous me maintiendrez à la tête des nations ; un peuple que je ne connaissais pas m'a été asservi ;

Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people. You have kept me to be the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.
Les fils des étrangers m'avaient trompé ; ils ont ouï votre parole, et ils m'ont été dociles.
Los extraños titubeaban á mí: en oyendo, me obedecían.
Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me.
Les fils des étrangers seront rejetés avec mépris, et ils trébucheront dans leurs places de retraite.
Los extraños desfallecían, y temblaban en sus escondrijos.
Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.
The foreigners will fade away, and will come trembling out of their close places.
Vive le Seigneur ! béni soit mon gardien, et Dieu, le gardien de mon salut, sera glorifié.
Viva Jehová, y sea bendita mi roca; sea ensalzado el Dios, la roca de mi salvamento:

Le Seigneur qui m'a vengé, en châtiant par mon bras les nations, est tout-puissant.
El Dios que me ha vengado, y sujeta los pueblos debajo de mí;
It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
even the God who executes vengeance for me, who brings down peoples under me,
Il m'a tiré de leurs mains ; vous m'élèverez encore, ô Seigneur, au- dessus de ceux qui se lèveront contre moi, vous me défendrez contre les hommes violents.
Y que me saca de entre mis enemigos: tú me sacaste en alto de entre los que se levantaron contra mí: librásteme del varón de iniquidades.
And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

A cause de cela, Seigneur, je vous rendrai gloire parmi toutes les nations, et je chanterai votre nom,
Por tanto yo te confesaré entre las gentes, oh Jehová, y cantaré á tu nombre.
Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

O vous, qui rendez grand le salut de votre roi, qui êtes miséricordieux envers David, votre christ, et envers sa postérité à jamais !
El que engrandece las saludes de su rey, y hace misericordia á su ungido, á David, y á su simiente, para siempre.
He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.”
