Y HABLÓ David á Jehová las palabras de este cántico, el día que Jehová le había librado de la mano de todos sus enemigos, y de la mano de Saúl.
And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:

Entonces cantó: El Señor es mi roca, mi fortaleza y mi salvador.
Y dijo: Jehová es mi roca, y mi fortaleza, y mi libertador;

and he said: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, even mine;
Él es mi Dios, mi roca que me protege. Él me protege del mal, su poder me salva, me mantiene seguro. Él es mi protector; es mi salvador; me libra de la violencia.
Dios de mi roca, en él confiaré: mi escudo, y el cuerno de mi salud, mi fortaleza, y mi refugio; mi salvador, que me librarás de violencia.
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

Pido ayuda al Señor, merecedor de alabanza, y me salva de los que me odian.

El sepulcro enrolló sus cuerdas en torno a mí; la muerte me tendió trampas.
Me rodearon los dolores del infierno, y me tomaron descuidado lazos de muerte.
The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me.
En mi desesperación invoqué al Señor; clamé a mi Dios. Él escuchó mi voz desde su Templo; mi grito de auxilio llegó a sus oídos.
Tuve angustia, invoqué á Jehová, y clamé á mi Dios: y él oyó mi voz desde su templo; llegó mi clamor á sus oídos.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.

La tierra se estremeció, los cimientos de los cielos temblaron por su cólera
La tierra se removió, y tembló; los fundamentos de los cielos fueron movidos, y se estremecieron, porque él se airó.
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.

Apartó los cielos y descendió, con nubes oscuras bajo sus pies.

Montado en un ser celestial voló, abalanzándose sobre las alas del viento.

Se escondió en las tinieblas, cubriéndose con negras nubes de lluvia.

De su resplandor brotaron carbones ardientes.

El Señor tronó desde el cielo; resonó la voz del Altísimo.

Disparó sus flechas, dispersando a sus enemigos, los derrotó con sus rayos.

El Señor rugió, y con el viento del aliento de su nariz se vieron los valles del mar y se descubrieron los cimientos de la tierra.

Bajó su mano desde arriba y me agarró. Me sacó de las aguas profundas.
Extendió su mano de lo alto, y arrebatóme, y sacóme de copiosas aguas.

Me rescató de mis poderosos enemigos, de los que me odiaban y eran mucho más fuertes que yo.

Se abalanzaron sobre mí en mi peor momento, pero el Señor me sostuvo.

Soy irreprochable a sus ojos; me guardo de pecar.

El Señor me ha recompensado por hacer lo justo. Soy inocente ante sus ojos.
Remuneróme por tanto Jehová conforme á mi justicia, y conforme á mi limpieza delante de sus ojos.
Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.

Demuestras tu fidelidad a los que son fieles; demuestras integridad a los que son íntegros,
Con el bueno eres benigno, y con el íntegro te muestras íntegro;
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.
With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man you will show yourself perfect.
Te muestras puro a los que son puros, pero te muestras astuto con los astutos.
Limpio eres para con el limpio, mas con el perverso eres rígido.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.
With the pure you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.
Tú salvas a los humildes, pero tus ojos vigilan a los soberbios para abatirlos.
Y tú salvas al pueblo humilde; mas tus ojos sobre los altivos, para abatirlos.
And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
You will save the afflicted people, but your eyes are on the arrogant, that you may bring them down.
Tú, Señor, eres mi lámpara. El Señor ilumina mis tinieblas.
Porque tú eres mi lámpara, oh Jehová: Jehová da luz á mis tinieblas.
For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
For you are my lamp, LORD. The LORD will light up my darkness.
Contigo puedo abatir una tropa de soldados; contigo, Dios mío, puedo escalar un muro de la fortaleza.
Porque en ti romperé ejércitos, y con mi Dios saltaré las murallas.
For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
For by you, I run against a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
El camino de Dios es absolutamente correcto. La palabra del Señor es digna de confianza. Es un escudo para todos los que acuden a él en busca de protección.
Dios, perfecto su camino: la palabra de Jehová purificada, escudo es de todos los que en él esperan.
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
As for God, his way is perfect. The LORD’s word is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
Porque ¿quién es Dios sino el Señor? ¿Quién es la Roca, sino nuestro Dios?
Porque ¿qué Dios hay sino Jehová? ¿ó quién es fuerte sino nuestro Dios?
For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
For who is God, besides the LORD? Who is a rock, besides our God?
Dios me hace fuerte y me mantiene seguro.
Dios es el que con virtud me corrobora, y el que despeja mi camino;
God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
God is my strong fortress. He makes my way perfect.
Me hace seguro como el ciervo, capaz de caminar por las alturas con seguridad.
El que hace mis pies como de ciervas, y el que me asienta en mis alturas;
He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.
He makes his feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me on my high places.
Me enseña a luchar en la batalla; me da la fuerza para tensar un arco de bronce.
El que enseña mis manos para la pelea, y da que con mis brazos quiebre el arco de acero.
He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
Me protege con el escudo de su salvación; su ayuda me ha engrandecido.
Tú me diste asimismo el escudo de tu salud, y tu benignidad me ha acrecentado.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your gentleness has made me great.
Me diste espacio para caminar y evitaste que mis pies resbalaran.
Tú ensanchaste mis pasos debajo de mí, para que no titubeasen mis rodillas.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
You have enlarged my steps under me. My feet have not slipped.
Perseguí a mis enemigos y los alcancé. No me devolví hasta haberlos destruido.
Perseguiré á mis enemigos, y quebrantarélos; y no me volveré hasta que los acabe.
I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them. I didn’t turn again until they were consumed.
Los derribé y no pudieron levantarse. Cayeron a mis pies.
Los consumiré, y los heriré, y no se levantarán; y caerán debajo de mis pies.

Me hiciste fuerte para la batalla; hiciste que los que se levantaron contra mí se arrodillaran ante mí.
Ceñísteme de fortaleza para la batalla, y postraste debajo de mí los que contra mí se levantaron.
For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.
For you have armed me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
Hiciste que mis enemigos huyeran; destruí a todos mis enemigos.
Tú me diste la cerviz de mis enemigos, de mis aborrecedores, y que yo los destruyese.
Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
Ellos clamaron por ayuda, pero nadie vino a rescatarlos. Incluso clamaron al Señor, pero él no les respondió.
Miraron, y no hubo quien los librase; á Jehová, mas no les respondió.
They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

Los convertí en polvo, como el polvo de la tierra. Los aplasté y los arrojé como lodo en la calle.
Yo los desmenuzaré como polvo de la tierra; hollarélos como á lodo de las plazas, y los disiparé.
Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.

Me rescataste de los pueblos rebeldes; me mantuviste como gobernante de las naciones: gente que no conocía ahora me sirve.
Tú me libraste de contiendas de pueblos: tú me guardaste para que fuese cabeza de gentes: pueblos que no conocía, me sirvieron.
Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people. You have kept me to be the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.
Los extranjeros se acobardan ante mí; en cuanto oyen hablar de mí, me obedecen.
Los extraños titubeaban á mí: en oyendo, me obedecían.
Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me.
Se desalientan y salen temblando de sus fortalezas.
Los extraños desfallecían, y temblaban en sus escondrijos.
Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.
The foreigners will fade away, and will come trembling out of their close places.
¡El Señor vive! ¡Bendita sea mi Roca! ¡Alabado sea el Dios que me salva!
Viva Jehová, y sea bendita mi roca; sea ensalzado el Dios, la roca de mi salvamento:
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
The LORD lives! Blessed be my rock! Exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,
Dios me vindica, pone a los pueblos bajo mis pies,
El Dios que me ha vengado, y sujeta los pueblos debajo de mí;
It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
even the God who executes vengeance for me, who brings down peoples under me,
Y me libera de los que me odian. Me mantiene a salvo de los que se rebelan contra mí, me salva de los hombres violentos.
Y que me saca de entre mis enemigos: tú me sacaste en alto de entre los que se levantaron contra mí: librásteme del varón de iniquidades.
And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
who brings me away from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
Por eso te alabaré entre las naciones, Señor; cantaré alabanzas sobre lo que tú eres.
Por tanto yo te confesaré entre las gentes, oh Jehová, y cantaré á tu nombre.
Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
Therefore I will give thanks to you, LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
Has salvado al rey tantas veces, mostrando tu amor fiel a David, tu ungido, y a sus descendientes por siempre.
El que engrandece las saludes de su rey, y hace misericordia á su ungido, á David, y á su simiente, para siempre.
He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.”
