2 Samuel 23

Estas são as últimas palavras de Davi: “Palavras de Davi, filho de Jessé; o homem que foi exaltado, o escolhido do Deus de Jacó; Davi, o amado salmista de Israel.

ESTAS son las postreras palabras de David. Dijo David hijo de Isaí, dijo aquel varón que fué levantado alto, el ungido del Dios de Jacob, el suave en cánticos de Israel:

Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

“O Espírito do Senhor falou por meio de mim; e a sua palavra estava na minha boca.

El espíritu de Jehová ha hablado por mí, y su palabra ha sido en mi lengua.

The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

“The LORD’s Spirit spoke by me. His word was on my tongue.

O Deus de Israel falou; a Rocha de Israel me disse: ‘Quem governa o povo com justiça, quem reina com o temor de Deus,

El Dios de Israel ha dicho, hablóme el Fuerte de Israel: El señoreador de los hombres será justo, señoreador en temor de Dios.

The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

é como a luz da manhã; como uma manhã, sem nuvens, que faz brotar da terra a grama verde e macia, como o sol que brilha depois de uma chuva’.

Será como la luz de la mañana cuando sale el sol, de la mañana sin nubes; cuando la hierba de la tierra brota por medio del resplandor después de la lluvia.

And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

E a minha família foi a escolhida! Sim, Deus fez uma aliança comigo; a sua aliança é eterna, final e selada. Ele cuidará constantemente da minha segurança e concederá tudo quanto eu desejo.

No así mi casa para con Dios: sin embargo él ha hecho conmigo pacto perpetuo, ordenado en todas las cosas, y será guardado; bien que toda esta mi salud, y todo mi deseo no lo haga él florecer todavía.

Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

Isn’t my house so with God? Yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure, for it is all my salvation and all my desire. Won’t he make it grow?

Mas os infiéis serão atirados fora como espinhos que ferem as mãos que neles tocam.

Mas los de Belial serán todos ellos como espinas arrancadas, las cuales nadie toma con la mano;

But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:

But all the ungodly will be as thorns to be thrust away, because they can’t be taken with the hand.

Quem quiser cortá-los precisa proteger-se com uma ferramenta de ferro ou de madeira; eles devem ser destruídos com fogo”.

Sino que el que quiere tocar en ellas, ármase de hierro y de asta de lanza, y son quemadas en su lugar.

But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.

Estes são os nomes dos três guerreiros mais importantes de Davi: O primeiro era Josebe-Bassebete, de Taquemoni, chefe de três guerreiros principais; este uma vez matou oitocentos homens com uma lança, numa batalha.

These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.

O segundo era Eleazar, filho de Dodô, e neto de Aoí. Ele era um dos três guerreiros principais que, com Davi, destruiu os filisteus, em Pas-Damim, depois que o exército de Israel já se havia dispersado.

Después de éste, Eleazar, hijo de Dodo de Ahohi, fué de los tres valientes que estaban con David, cuando desafiaron á los Filisteos que se habían juntado allí á la batalla, y subieron los de Israel.

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:

Eleazar manteve a sua posição e feriu os filisteus até que sua mão ficou com cãibra, e ele não podia largar a espada; o Senhor lhe deu uma grande vitória naquele dia. O restante do exército não voltou, a não ser na hora de saquear os mortos.

Este, levantándose, hirió á los Filisteos hasta que su mano se cansó, y quedósele contraída á la espada. Aquel día Jehová hizo gran salud: y volvióse el pueblo en pos de él solamente á tomar el despojo.

He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.

Depois de Eleazar vem Samá, filho de Agé, de Harar. Durante um ataque de uma tropa dos filisteus em Leí, quando todos os homens de Davi fugiram,

ele se colocou sozinho num campo de lentilhas e derrotou os filisteus. O Senhor lhe deu uma grande vitória.

El entonces se paró en medio de la suerte de tierra, y defendióla, é hirió á los Filisteos; y Jehová hizo una gran salud.

But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.

Perto do início da colheita, quando Davi estava na caverna de Adulão e os invasores filisteus estavam acampados no vale de Refaim, três chefes dos trinta valentes do exército de Israel desceram à caverna para ficar com Davi.

Y tres de los treinta principales descendieron y vinieron en tiempo de la siega á David á la cueva de Adullam: y el campo de los Filisteos estaba en el valle de Raphaim.

And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.

Davi estava na fortaleza nessa ocasião, e os filisteus na cidade vizinha de Belém.

David entonces estaba en la fortaleza, y la guarnición de los Filisteos estaba en Beth-lehem.

And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Beth-lehem.

Então Davi disse: “Estou com tanta sede daquela água pura do poço que fica perto da porta de Belém!”

Y David tuvo deseo, y dijo: ¡Quién me diera á beber del agua de la cisterna de Beth-lehem, que está á la puerta!

And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!

David said longingly, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

Então os três homens atravessaram com valentia as fileiras dos filisteus, tiraram a água do poço e a trouxeram a Davi. Ele, porém, se recusou a tomá-la! Em vez disso, despejou a água no chão como oferta ao Senhor e disse:

And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

“Ó Senhor Deus, eu não posso tomar dessa água. Ela é como o sangue destes homens que arriscaram a sua vida por mim, atravessando as fileiras dos filisteus”. Esses foram os feitos destes três principais guerreiros.

Lejos sea de mí, oh Jehová, que yo haga esto. ¿He de beber yo la sangre de los varones que fueron con peligro de su vida? Y no quiso beberla. Los tres valientes hicieron esto.

And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

He said, “Be it far from me, LORD, that I should do this! Isn’t this the blood of the men who risked their lives to go?” Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.

Abisai, irmão de Joabe, filho de Zeruia, era o líder dos Trinta. Certa vez, ele, com a sua lança, matou trezentos inimigos. Foi com esse ato que ele ganhou lugar entre os mais valentes de Israel.

Y Abisai hermano de Joab, hijo de Sarvia, fué el principal de los tres; el cual alzó su lanza contra trescientos, que mató; y tuvo nombre entre los tres.

And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.

Ele se tornou o líder dos valentes oficiais do exército. Mas não chegou a ser um dos três principais guerreiros.

El era el más aventajado de los tres, y el primero de ellos; mas no llegó á los tres primeros.

Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.

Wasn’t he most honorable of the three? Therefore he was made their captain. However he wasn’t included as one of the three.

Havia também Benaia, filho de Joiada, um heroico soldado de Cabzeel. Benaia matou os dois maiores heróis de Moabe. Numa ocasião ele desceu numa cova e, apesar da neve, atacou um leão que ali se encontrava e o matou.

Después, Benaía hijo de Joiada, hijo de un varón esforzado, grande en hechos, de Cabseel. Este hirió dos leones de Moab: y él mismo descendió, é hirió un león en medio de un foso en el tiempo de la nieve:

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:

Em outra ocasião, com um cajado na mão, matou um guerreiro egípcio de grande estatura, que estava armado com uma lança; ele arrancou a lança da mão do egípcio, e com ela o matou.

También hirió él á un Egipcio, hombre de grande estatura: y tenía el Egipcio una lanza en su mano; mas descendió á él con un palo, y arrebató al Egipcio la lanza de la mano, y matólo con su propia lanza.

And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.

He killed a huge Egyptian, and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and killed him with his own spear.

Estes são alguns dos feitos de Benaia. Ele ficou tão famoso como os três principais guerreiros de Davi.
