2 Samuel 23

Queste sono le ultime parole di Davide: “Parola di Davide, figliuolo d’Isai, parola dell’uomo che fu elevato ad alta dignità, dell’unto dell’Iddio di Giacobbe, del dolce cantore d’Israele:

ESTAS son las postreras palabras de David. Dijo David hijo de Isaí, dijo aquel varón que fué levantado alto, el ungido del Dios de Jacob, el suave en cánticos de Israel:

Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

Lo spirito dell’Eterno ha parlato per mio mezzo, e la sua parola è stata sulle mie labbra.

è come la luce mattutina, quando il sole si leva in un mattino senza nuvole, e col suo splendore, dopo la pioggia, fa spuntare l’erbetta dalla terra”.

Será como la luz de la mañana cuando sale el sol, de la mañana sin nubes; cuando la hierba de la tierra brota por medio del resplandor después de la lluvia.

And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

Non è egli così della mia casa dinanzi a Dio? Poich’egli ha fermato con me un patto eterno, in ogni punto ben regolato e sicuro appieno. Non farà egli germogliare la mia completa salvezza e tutto ciò ch’io bramo?

No así mi casa para con Dios: sin embargo él ha hecho conmigo pacto perpetuo, ordenado en todas las cosas, y será guardado; bien que toda esta mi salud, y todo mi deseo no lo haga él florecer todavía.

Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

Ma gli scellerati tutti quanti son come spine che si buttan via e non si piglian con la mano;

Mas los de Belial serán todos ellos como espinas arrancadas, las cuales nadie toma con la mano;

But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:

But all the ungodly will be as thorns to be thrust away, because they can’t be taken with the hand.

chi le tocca s’arma d’un ferro o d’un’asta di lancia e si bruciano interamente là dove sono”.

Sino que el que quiere tocar en ellas, ármase de hierro y de asta de lanza, y son quemadas en su lugar.

But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.

Questi sono i nomi dei valorosi guerrieri che furono al servizio di Davide: Josheb-Basshebeth, il Tahkemonita, capo dei principali ufficiali. Egli impugnò la lancia contro ottocento uomini, che uccise in un solo scontro.

Estos son los nombres de los valientes que tuvo David: El Tachmonita, que se sentaba en cátedra, principal de los capitanes: era éste Adino el Eznita, que mató en una ocasión sobre ochocientos hombres.

These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.

Dopo di lui veniva Eleazar, figliuolo di Dodo, figliuolo di Akoi, uno dei tre valorosi guerrieri che erano con Davide, quando sfidarono i Filistei raunati per combattere, mentre gli Israeliti si ritiravano sulle alture.

Después de éste, Eleazar, hijo de Dodo de Ahohi, fué de los tres valientes que estaban con David, cuando desafiaron á los Filisteos que se habían juntado allí á la batalla, y subieron los de Israel.

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:

Egli si levò, percosse i Filistei, finché la sua mano, spossata, rimase attaccata alla spada. E l’Eterno concesse in quel giorno una gran vittoria, e il popolo tornò a seguire Eleazar soltanto per spogliare gli uccisi.

Este, levantándose, hirió á los Filisteos hasta que su mano se cansó, y quedósele contraída á la espada. Aquel día Jehová hizo gran salud: y volvióse el pueblo en pos de él solamente á tomar el despojo.

He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.

Dopo di lui veniva Shamma, figliuolo di Aghé, lo Hararita. I Filistei s’erano radunati in massa; e in quel luogo v’era un campo pieno di lenticchie; e, come i popolo fuggiva dinanzi ai Filistei,

Shamma si piantò in mezzo al campo, lo difese, e sconfisse i Filistei. E l’Eterno concesse una gran vittoria.

El entonces se paró en medio de la suerte de tierra, y defendióla, é hirió á los Filisteos; y Jehová hizo una gran salud.

Tre dei trenta capi scesero, al tempo della mietitura, e vennero da Davide nella spelonca di Adullam, mentre una schiera di Filistei era accampata nella valle dei Refaim.

Y tres de los treinta principales descendieron y vinieron en tiempo de la siega á David á la cueva de Adullam: y el campo de los Filisteos estaba en el valle de Raphaim.

And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.

Davide era allora nella fortezza, e c’era un posto di Filistei a Bethlehem.

And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Beth-lehem.

Davide ebbe un desiderio, e disse: “Oh se qualcuno mi desse da bere dell’acqua del pozzo ch’è vicino alla porta di Bethlehem!”

Y David tuvo deseo, y dijo: ¡Quién me diera á beber del agua de la cisterna de Beth-lehem, que está á la puerta!

And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!

David said longingly, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

E i tre prodi s’aprirono un varco attraverso al campo filisteo, attinsero dell’acqua dal pozzo di Bethlehem, vicino alla porta; e presala seco, la presentarono a Davide; il qual però non ne volle bere, ma la sparse davanti all’Eterno,

Entonces los tres valientes rompieron por el campo de los Filisteos, y sacaron agua de la cisterna de Beth-lehem, que estaba á la puerta; y tomaron, y trajéronla á David: mas él no la quiso beber, sino derramóla á Jehová, diciendo:

And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Beth-lehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

dicendo: “Lungi da me, o Eterno, ch’io faccia tal cosa! Beverei io il sangue di questi uomini, che sono andati là a rischio della loro vita?” E non la volle bere. Questo fecero quei tre prodi.

Lejos sea de mí, oh Jehová, que yo haga esto. ¿He de beber yo la sangre de los varones que fueron con peligro de su vida? Y no quiso beberla. Los tres valientes hicieron esto.

And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

He said, “Be it far from me, LORD, that I should do this! Isn’t this the blood of the men who risked their lives to go?” Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.

Abishai, fratello di Joab, figliuolo di Tseruia, fu il capo di altri tre. Egli impugnò la lancia contro trecento uomini, e li uccise; e s’acquistò fama fra i tre.

Fu il più illustre dei tre, e perciò fu fatto loro capo; nondimeno non giunse ad eguagliare i primi tre.

El era el más aventajado de los tres, y el primero de ellos; mas no llegó á los tres primeros.

Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.

Poi veniva Benaia da Kabtseel, figliuolo di Jehoiada, figliuolo di Ish-hai, celebre per le sue prodezze. Egli uccise i due grandi eroi di Moab. Discese anche in mezzo a una cisterna, dove uccise un leone, un giorno di neve.

Después, Benaía hijo de Joiada, hijo de un varón esforzado, grande en hechos, de Cabseel. Este hirió dos leones de Moab: y él mismo descendió, é hirió un león en medio de un foso en el tiempo de la nieve:

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:

E uccise pure un Egiziano, d’aspetto formidabile, e che teneva una lancia in mano; ma Benaia gli scese contro con un bastone, strappò di mano all’Egiziano la lancia, e se ne servì per ucciderlo.

También hirió él á un Egipcio, hombre de grande estatura: y tenía el Egipcio una lanza en su mano; mas descendió á él con un palo, y arrebató al Egipcio la lanza de la mano, y matólo con su propia lanza.

And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.

Questo fece Benaia, figliuolo di Jehoiada; e s’acquistò fama fra i tre prodi.
