Da sprach der König zu Joab, dem Heerobersten, der bei ihm war: Geh doch umher durch alle Stämme Israels, von Dan bis Beerseba, und mustert das Volk, damit ich die Zahl des Volkes wisse.
Y dijo el rey á Joab, general del ejército que tenía consigo: Rodea todas las tribus de Israel, desde Dan hasta Beer-seba, y contad el pueblo, para que yo sepa el número de la gente.
For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people.

Und Joab sprach zu dem König: Es möge der HERR, dein Gott, zu dem Volk, so viele ihrer auch sind, hundertmal hinzufügen, während die Augen meines Herrn, des Königs, es sehen! Aber warum hat mein Herr, der König, Gefallen an dieser Sache?
Y Joab respondió al rey: Añada Jehová tu Dios al pueblo cien veces tanto como son, y que lo vea mi señor el rey; mas ¿para qué quiere esto mi señor el rey?
And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?
Joab said to the king, “Now may the LORD your God add to the people, however many they may be, one hundred times; and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king delight in this thing?”
Aber das Wort des Königs blieb fest gegen Joab und gegen die Obersten des Heeres. Und Joab und die Obersten des Heeres zogen aus vor dem König, um das Volk Israel zu mustern.

And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

Ve, y di á David: Así ha dicho Jehová: Tres cosas te ofrezco: tú te escogerás una de ellas, la cual yo haga.
Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

Und Gad kam zu David und tat es ihm kund und sprach zu ihm: Sollen dir sieben Jahre Hungersnot in dein Land kommen? Oder willst du drei Monate vor deinen Feinden fliehen, indem sie dir nachjagen? Oder soll drei Tage Pest in deinem Land sein? Nun wisse und sieh, was für eine Antwort ich dem zurückbringen soll, der mich gesandt hat.
Vino pues Gad á David, é intimóle, y díjole: ¿Quieres que te vengan siete años de hambre en tu tierra? ¿ó que huyas tres meses delante de tus enemigos, y que ellos te persigan? ¿ó que tres días haya pestilencia en tu tierra? Piensa ahora, y mira qué responderé al que me ha enviado.
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
So Gad came to David, and told him, saying, “Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or will you flee three months before your foes while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ pestilence in your land? Now answer, and consider what answer I shall return to him who sent me.”
Und David sprach zu Gad: Mir ist sehr angst! Mögen wir doch in die Hand des HERRN fallen, denn seine Erbarmungen sind groß; aber in die Hand der Menschen lass mich nicht fallen!
Entonces David dijo á Gad: En grande angustia estoy: ruego que caiga en la mano de Jehová, porque sus miseraciones son muchas, y que no caiga yo en manos de hombres.
And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
David said to Gad, “I am in distress. Let us fall now into the LORD’s hand, for his mercies are great. Let me not fall into man’s hand.”

Y como el ángel extendió su mano sobre Jerusalem para destruirla, Jehová se arrepintió de aquel mal, y dijo al ángel que destruía el pueblo: Basta ahora; detén tu mano. Entonces el ángel de Jehová estaba junto á la era de Arauna Jebuseo.
And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.

Und als David den Engel sah, der unter dem Volk schlug, sprach er zu dem HERRN und sagte: Siehe, ich habe gesündigt, und ich habe verkehrt gehandelt; aber diese Schafe, was haben sie getan? Es sei doch deine Hand gegen mich, und gegen das Haus meines Vaters!

And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father’s house.

And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite.

And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.

And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.
Araunah said, “Why has my lord the king come to his servant?” David said, “To buy your threshing floor, to build an altar to the LORD, that the plague may be stopped from afflicting the people.”
Da sprach Arawna zu David: Mein Herr, der König, nehme und opfere, was gut ist in seinen Augen; siehe, die Rinder sind zum Brandopfer, und die Dreschwagen und die Geschirre der Rinder zum Holz:

And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.

Alles das, o König, gibt Arawna dem König. Und Arawna sprach zu dem König: Der HERR, dein Gott, nehme dich wohlgefällig an!
Todo lo da como un rey Arauna al rey. Luego dijo Arauna al rey: Jehová tu Dios te sea propicio.
All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee.
All this, O king, does Araunah give to the king.” Araunah said to the king, “May the LORD your God accept you.”
Aber der König sprach zu Arawna: Nein, sondern kaufen will ich es von dir für einen Preis, und ich will dem HERRN, meinem Gott, nicht umsonst Brandopfer opfern. Und David kaufte die Tenne und die Rinder für 50 Sekel Silber.
Y el rey dijo á Arauna: No, sino por precio te lo compraré; porque no ofreceré á Jehová mi Dios holocaustos por nada. Entonces David compró la era y los bueyes por cincuenta siclos de plata.
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
The king said to Araunah, “No, but I will most certainly buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God which cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
Und David baute dort dem HERRN einen Altar und opferte Brandopfer und Friedensopfer. Und der HERR ließ sich für das Land erbitten, und die Plage wurde von Israel abgewehrt.
