2 Samuel 24

Der Zorn des HERRN aber entbrannte (einst) aufs neue gegen Israel, so daß er David gegen das Volk reizte durch die Aufforderung: »Auf! Nimm eine Zählung in Israel und Juda vor!«

Y VOLVIÓ el furor de Jehová á encenderse contra Israel, é incitó á David contra ellos á que dijese: Ve, cuenta á Israel y á Judá.

And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

Again the LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he moved David against them, saying, “Go, count Israel and Judah.”

Da befahl der König seinem Heerführer Joab (und den Heeresobersten bei ihm): »Durchwandre alle Stammgebiete Israels von Dan bis Beerseba und nehmt eine Volkszählung vor, damit ich die Zahl des Volkes erfahre!«

Y dijo el rey á Joab, general del ejército que tenía consigo: Rodea todas las tribus de Israel, desde Dan hasta Beer-seba, y contad el pueblo, para que yo sepa el número de la gente.

For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people.

The king said to Joab the captain of the army, who was with him, “Now go back and forth through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and count the people, that I may know the sum of the people.”

Joab antwortete dem König: »Der HERR, dein Gott, möge das Volk, so zahlreich es auch schon ist, noch hundertmal zahlreicher werden lassen, und mein Herr, der König, möge das selbst noch mit eigenen Augen schauen! Aber warum trägt mein Herr, der König, Verlangen nach einer derartigen Vornahme?«

Y Joab respondió al rey: Añada Jehová tu Dios al pueblo cien veces tanto como son, y que lo vea mi señor el rey; mas ¿para qué quiere esto mi señor el rey?

And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?

Joab said to the king, “Now may the LORD your God add to the people, however many they may be, one hundred times; and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king delight in this thing?”

Doch der Befehl des Königs blieb trotz den Vorstellungen Joabs und der Heeresobersten bestehen, und so machte sich denn Joab mit den Heeresobersten auf Geheiß des Königs daran, die Volkszählung in Israel vorzunehmen.

Empero la palabra del rey pudo más que Joab, y que los capitanes del ejército. Salió pues Joab, con los capitanes del ejército, de delante del rey, para contar el pueblo de Israel.

Notwithstanding the king’s word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel.

Sie gingen also über den Jordan und lagerten sich bei Aroer rechts von der Stadt, die inmitten des Flußtales (des Arnon) liegt, in der Richtung nach Gad und nach Jaser hin.

Y pasando el Jordán asentaron en Aroer, á la mano derecha de la ciudad que está en medio de la arroyada de Gad y junto á Jazer.

And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:

Dann begaben sie sich nach Gilead und bis zum Lande der Hethiter gegen Kades hin; hierauf gelangten sie nach Dan, bogen hierauf um nach Sidon zu,

Después vinieron á Galaad, y á la tierra baja de Absi: y de allí vinieron á Dan-jaán y alrededor de Sidón.

Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtim-hodshi; and they came to Dan-jaan, and about to Zidon,

kamen alsdann zu der festen Stadt Tyrus und zu allen Ortschaften der Hewiter und Kanaanäer und begaben sich schließlich in das Südland von Juda, nach Beerseba.

Y vinieron luego á la fortaleza de Tiro, y á todas las ciudades de los Heveos y de los Cananeos; y salieron al mediodía de Judá, á Beer-seba.

And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beer-sheba.

Nachdem sie so das ganze Land durchzogen hatten, kehrten sie nach Verlauf von neun Monaten und zwanzig Tagen nach Jerusalem zurück.

Da teilte Joab dem König das Ergebnis der Volkszählung mit, und zwar belief sich die Zahl der kriegstüchtigen, schwertbewaffneten Männer in Israel auf 800000, in Juda auf 500000 Mann.

Y Joab dió la cuenta del número del pueblo al rey; y fueron los de Israel ochocientos mil hombres fuertes que sacaban espada; y de los de Judá quinientos mil hombres.

And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.

Nachdem aber David die Volkszählung hatte vornehmen lassen, schlug ihm das Gewissen; daher betete er zum HERRN: »Ich habe mich durch mein Tun schwer versündigt; doch laß nun, o HERR, deinem Knecht seine Verschuldung ungestraft hingehen, denn ich habe in großer Verblendung gehandelt!«

Y después que David hubo contado el pueblo, punzóle su corazón; y dijo David á Jehová: Yo he pecado gravemente por haber hecho esto; mas ahora, oh Jehová, ruégote que quites el pecado de tu siervo, porque yo he obrado muy neciamente.

And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

David’s heart struck him after he had counted the people. David said to the LORD, “I have sinned greatly in that which I have done. But now, the LORD, put away, I beg you, the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.”

Als aber David am folgenden Morgen aufstand, erging das Wort des HERRN an den Propheten Gad, den Seher Davids, folgendermaßen:

Y por la mañana, cuando David se hubo levantado, fué palabra de Jehová á Gad profeta, vidente de David, diciendo:

For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David’s seer, saying,

»Gehe hin und sage zu David: ›So hat der HERR gesprochen: Dreierlei lege ich dir vor: wähle dir eins davon, damit ich es an dir zur Ausführung bringe!‹«

Ve, y di á David: Así ha dicho Jehová: Tres cosas te ofrezco: tú te escogerás una de ellas, la cual yo haga.

Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

“Go and speak to David, ‘The LORD says, “I offer you three things. Choose one of them, that I may do it to you.”’”

Da begab sich Gad zu David, teilte es ihm mit und sagte zu ihm: »Sollen dir zur Strafe drei Jahre Hungersnot über dein Land kommen? Oder willst du drei Monate lang vor deinen Feinden fliehen müssen und von ihnen verfolgt werden? Oder soll die Pest drei Tage lang in deinem Lande sein? Nun gehe mit dir zu Rat und überlege, welche Antwort ich dem bringen soll, der mich gesandt hat.«

Vino pues Gad á David, é intimóle, y díjole: ¿Quieres que te vengan siete años de hambre en tu tierra? ¿ó que huyas tres meses delante de tus enemigos, y que ellos te persigan? ¿ó que tres días haya pestilencia en tu tierra? Piensa ahora, y mira qué responderé al que me ha enviado.

So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

So Gad came to David, and told him, saying, “Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or will you flee three months before your foes while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ pestilence in your land? Now answer, and consider what answer I shall return to him who sent me.”

Da sagte David zu Gad: »Mir ist sehr bange! Wir wollen aber lieber in die Hand des HERRN fallen, denn sein Erbarmen ist groß; aber in die Hand von Menschen möchte ich nicht fallen!«

Entonces David dijo á Gad: En grande angustia estoy: ruego que caiga en la mano de Jehová, porque sus miseraciones son muchas, y que no caiga yo en manos de hombres.

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

David said to Gad, “I am in distress. Let us fall now into the LORD’s hand, for his mercies are great. Let me not fall into man’s hand.”

Da ließ der HERR eine Pest über Israel kommen vom Morgen an bis zum Nachmittag, und es starben aus dem Volke von Dan bis Beerseba siebzigtausend Menschen.

Y envió Jehová pestilencia á Israel desde la mañana hasta el tiempo señalado: y murieron del pueblo, desde Dan hasta Beer-seba, setenta mil hombres.

So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beer-sheba seventy thousand men.

Als aber der Engel seine Hand gegen Jerusalem ausstreckte, um es zu vernichten, da gereute den HERRN das Unheil, und er gebot dem Engel, der das Unglück unter dem Volke anzurichten hatte: »Es ist genug so! Laß jetzt deine Hand ruhen!« Der Engel des HERRN befand sich aber gerade bei der Tenne des Jebusiters Arawna.

Y como el ángel extendió su mano sobre Jerusalem para destruirla, Jehová se arrepintió de aquel mal, y dijo al ángel que destruía el pueblo: Basta ahora; detén tu mano. Entonces el ángel de Jehová estaba junto á la era de Arauna Jebuseo.

And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.

When the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD relented of the disaster, and said to the angel who destroyed the people, “It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” The LORD’s angel was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

Als nun David den Engel sah, der das Sterben unter dem Volke anrichtete, rief er, zum HERRN betend, aus: »Ach, ich bin’s ja, der gesündigt hat, und ich habe mich vergangen! Diese Herde aber – was hat sie verschuldet? Laß doch deine Hand mich und meine Familie treffen!«

Y David dijo á Jehová, cuando vió al ángel que hería al pueblo: Yo pequé, yo hice la maldad: ¿qué hicieron estas ovejas? Ruégote que tu mano se torne contra mí, y contra la casa de mi padre.

And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father’s house.

David spoke to the LORD when he saw the angel who struck the people, and said, “Behold, I have sinned, and I have done perversely; but these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand be against me, and against my father’s house.”

An jenem Tage kam dann Gad zu David und sagte zu ihm: »Gehe hinauf und errichte dem HERRN einen Altar auf der Tenne des Jebusiters Arawna!«

Y Gad vino á David aquel día, y díjole: Sube, y haz un altar á Jehová en la era de Arauna Jebuseo.

And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite.

Gad came that day to David and said to him, “Go up, build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

Da begab sich David nach der Aufforderung Gads, dem Befehl des HERRN gehorsam, hinauf.

Y subió David, conforme al dicho de Gad, que Jehová le había mandado.

And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded.

Als nun Arawna von oben her ausschaute und den König mit seinen Dienern auf sich zukommen sah (Arawna war nämlich gerade mit dem Dreschen des Weizens beschäftigt), trat er hinaus und verneigte sich vor David mit dem Angesicht bis zur Erde.

Y mirando Arauna, vió al rey y á sus siervos que pasaban á él. Saliendo entonces Arauna, inclinóse delante del rey hacia tierra.

And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.

Hierauf fragte Arawna: »Warum kommt mein Herr, der König, zu seinem Knecht?« David antwortete: »Um die Tenne von dir zu kaufen; ich will hier dem HERRN einen Altar errichten, damit dem Sterben unter dem Volk Einhalt getan wird.«

Y Arauna dijo: ¿Por qué viene mi señor el rey á su siervo? Y David respondió: Para comprar de ti la era, para edificar altar á Jehová, á fin de que la mortandad cese del pueblo.

And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people.

Araunah said, “Why has my lord the king come to his servant?” David said, “To buy your threshing floor, to build an altar to the LORD, that the plague may be stopped from afflicting the people.”

Da sagte Arawna zu David: »Mein Herr, der König, nehme sie hin und opfere, was ihm beliebt! Die Rinder hier stehen als Brandopfer und die Dreschschlitten nebst den Geschirren der Rinder als Brennholz zu deiner Verfügung:

Y Arauna dijo á David: Tome y sacrifique mi señor el rey lo que bien le pareciere; he aquí bueyes para el holocausto; y trillos y otros pertrechos de bueyes para leña:

And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood.

Araunah said to David, “Let my lord the king take and offer up what seems good to him. Behold, the cattle for the burnt offering, and the threshing sledges and the yokes of the oxen for the wood.

das alles, o König, macht Arawna dem Könige zum Geschenk.« Dann fuhr er fort: »Der HERR, dein Gott, wolle dir gnädig sein!«

Todo lo da como un rey Arauna al rey. Luego dijo Arauna al rey: Jehová tu Dios te sea propicio.

All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee.

All this, O king, does Araunah give to the king.” Araunah said to the king, “May the LORD your God accept you.”

Aber der König erwiderte dem Arawna: »Nein! Käuflich will ich es von dir erwerben für den vollen Preis; denn ich mag dem HERRN, meinem Gott, keine Brandopfer darbringen, die mir geschenkt sind.« So kaufte denn David die Tenne und die Rinder für den Preis von fünfzig Schekeln Silber.

Y el rey dijo á Arauna: No, sino por precio te lo compraré; porque no ofreceré á Jehová mi Dios holocaustos por nada. Entonces David compró la era y los bueyes por cincuenta siclos de plata.

And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

The king said to Araunah, “No, but I will most certainly buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God which cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

David erbaute alsdann dem HERRN dort einen Altar und brachte Brandopfer und Heilsopfer dar; hierauf wandte der HERR dem Lande seine Gnade wieder zu, und das Sterben unter den Israeliten erreichte sein Ende.

Y edificó allí David un altar á Jehová, y sacrificó holocaustos y pacíficos; y Jehová se aplacó con la tierra, y cesó la plaga de Israel.

And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.
