Und Abner rief Joab zu und sprach: Soll das Schwert immerfort fressen? Weißt du nicht, daß zuletzt Erbitterung sein wird? Und wie lange willst du nicht dem Volke sagen, von der Verfolgung ihrer Brüder umzukehren?
Y Abner dió voces á Joab, diciendo: ¿Consumirá la espada perpetuamente? ¿no sabes tú que al cabo se sigue amargura? ¿hasta cuándo no has de decir al pueblo que se vuelvan de seguir á sus hermanos?
Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, ere thou bid the people return from following their brethren?
Then Abner called to Joab, and said, “Shall the sword devour forever? Don’t you know that it will be bitterness in the latter end? How long will it be then, before you ask the people to return from following their brothers?”
