desde donde Abner gritó a Joab, diciendo; ¿No se saciará de sangre tu espada, sino hasta el total exterminio? ¿No sabes que es cosa peligrosa reducir a la desesperación al enemigo? ¿No será ya tiempo de decir al pueblo que deje de perseguir a sus hermanos?
Y Abner dió voces á Joab, diciendo: ¿Consumirá la espada perpetuamente? ¿no sabes tú que al cabo se sigue amargura? ¿hasta cuándo no has de decir al pueblo que se vuelvan de seguir á sus hermanos?
Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, ere thou bid the people return from following their brethren?
Then Abner called to Joab, and said, “Shall the sword devour forever? Don’t you know that it will be bitterness in the latter end? How long will it be then, before you ask the people to return from following their brothers?”
