2 Samuel 3

Et la guerre se prolongea entre la maison de Saül et la maison de David ; et David allait se fortifiant et la maison de Saül allait s'affaiblissant.

Y HUBO larga guerra entre la casa de Saúl y la casa de David; mas David se iba fortificando, y la casa de Saúl iba en disminución.

Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.

Il naquit à David des fils à Hébron ; son premier-né fut Amnon, d'Ahinoam de Jizréel ;

And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;

Et pendant la guerre entre la maison de Saül et la maison de David, Abner tenait ferme pour la maison de Saül.

Y como había guerra entre la casa de Saúl y la de David, aconteció que Abner se esforzaba por la casa de Saúl.

And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.

While there was war between Saul’s house and David’s house, Abner made himself strong in Saul’s house.

Et Saül avait eu une concubine nommée Ritspa, fille d'Ajja. Et †Isboseth dit à Abner : Pourquoi es-tu venu vers la concubine de mon père ?

Y había Saúl tenido una concubina que se llamaba Rispa, hija de Aja. Y dijo Is-boseth á Abner: ¿Por qué has entrado á la concubina de mi padre?

And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ish-bosheth said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in unto my father’s concubine?

Now Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah; and Ishbosheth said to Abner, “Why have you gone in to my father’s concubine?”

Et Abner fut très irrité des paroles d'Isboseth, et il dit : Suis-je une tête de chien appartenant à Juda ? Aujourd'hui je rends service à la maison de Saül, ton père, à ses frères et à ses amis, et je ne t'ai pas abandonné à David ; et aujourd'hui tu me reproches une faute avec cette femme !

Y enojóse Abner en gran manera por las palabras de Is-boseth, y dijo: ¿Soy yo cabeza de perros respecto de Judá? Yo he hecho hoy misericordia con la casa de Saúl tu padre, con sus hermanos, y con sus amigos, y no te he entregado en las manos de David: ¿y tú me haces hoy cargo del pecado de esta mujer?

Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dog’s head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?

Then Abner was very angry about Ishbosheth’s words, and said, “Am I a dog’s head that belongs to Judah? Today I show kindness to your father Saul’s house, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David; and yet you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman!

Qu'ainsi Dieu me fasse et qu'ainsi il y ajoute si je ne fais à David comme l'Eternel le lui a juré,

Así haga Dios á Abner y así le añada, si como ha jurado Jehová á David no hiciere yo así con él,

So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD hath sworn to David, even so I do to him;

en enlevant la royauté à la maison de Saül et en établissant le trône de David sur Israël et sur Juda depuis Dan jusqu'à Béerséba !

Trasladando el reino de la casa de Saúl, y confirmando el trono de David sobre Israel y sobre Judá, desde Dan hasta Beer-sebah.

To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beer-sheba.

to transfer the kingdom from Saul’s house, and to set up David’s throne over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.”

Et il ne put répondre un seul mot à Abner, parce qu'il avait peur de lui.

Y él no pudo responder palabra á Abner, porque le temía.

And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.

Et Abner envoya des messagers vers David pour lui dire de sa part : A qui est le pays ? et ajoutant : Fais alliance avec moi, et alors ma main sera avec toi pour tourner vers toi tout Israël.

Y envió Abner mensajeros á David de su parte, diciendo: ¿Cúya es la tierra? Y que le dijesen: Haz alianza conmigo, y he aquí que mi mano será contigo para volver á ti á todo Israel.

And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee.

Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, “Whose is the land?” and saying, “Make your alliance with me, and behold, my hand will be with you to bring all Israel around to you.”

Et il dit : Bien ! Je ferai alliance avec toi ; seulement je te demande une chose, c'est que tu ne te présentes pas devant moi sans amener Mical, fille de Saül, quand tu paraîtras devant moi.

Y David dijo: Bien; yo haré contigo alianza: mas una cosa te pido, y es, que no me vengas á ver sin que primero traigas á Michâl la hija de Saúl, cuando vinieres á verme.

And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou first bring Michal Saul’s daughter, when thou comest to see my face.

David said, “Good. I will make a treaty with you, but one thing I require of you. That is, you will not see my face unless you first bring Michal, Saul’s daughter, when you come to see my face.”

Et David envoya des messagers vers Isboseth, fils de Saül, pour lui dire : Rends-moi ma femme Mical que j'ai épousée pour le prix de cent prépuces de Philistins.

Después de esto envió David mensajeros á Is-boseth hijo de Saúl, diciendo: Restitúyeme á mi mujer Michâl, la cual yo desposé conmigo por cien prepucios de Filisteos.

And David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth Saul’s son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.

David sent messengers to Ishbosheth, Saul’s son, saying, “Deliver me my wife Michal, whom I was given to marry for one hundred foreskins of the Philistines.”

Et Isboseth la fit prendre à son mari, Paltiel, fils de Laïs.

Entonces Is-boseth envió, y quitóla á su marido Paltiel, hijo de Lais.

And Ish-bosheth sent, and took her from her husband, even from Phaltiel the son of Laish.

Et son mari l'accompagna en pleurant derrière elle jusqu'à Bahurim ; et Abner lui dit : Va, retourne-t-en ! Et il s'en retourna.

Y su marido fué con ella, siguiéndola y llorando hasta Bahurim. Y díjole Abner: Anda, vuélvete. Entonces él se volvió.

And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.

Her husband went with her, weeping as he went, and followed her to Bahurim. Then Abner said to him, “Go! Return!” and he returned.

Et Abner entra en pourparlers avec les Anciens d'Israël et leur dit : Depuis longtemps déjà vous avez désiré d'avoir David pour roi.

Y habló Abner con los ancianos de Israel, diciendo: Ayer y antes procurabais que David fuese rey sobre vosotros;

And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David in times past to be king over you:

Et maintenant faites ! Car l'Eternel a dit à David : C'est par la main de David, mon serviteur, que je délivrerai Israël, mon peuple, de la main des Philistins et de la main de tous ses ennemis.

Ahora, pues, hacedlo; porque Jehová ha hablado á David, diciendo: Por la mano de mi siervo David libraré á mi pueblo Israel de mano de los Filisteos, y de mano de todos sus enemigos.

Now then do it: for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.

Now then do it! For the LORD has spoken of David, saying, ‘By the hand of my servant David, I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.’”

Et Abner s'entendit de même avec Benjamin et alla communiquer à David à Hébron tout ce qu'avaient décidé Israël et toute la maison de Benjamin.

Y habló también Abner á los de Benjamín: y fué también Abner á Hebrón á decir á David todo el parecer de los de Israel y de toda la casa de Benjamín.

And Abner also spake in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.

Et Abner arriva auprès de David, à Hébron, accompagné de vingt hommes, et David fit un festin à Abner et aux hommes qui étaient avec lui,

So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with him a feast.

Et Abner dit à David : Je m'en vais rassembler tout Israël vers mon seigneur le roi ; ils feront alliance avec toi, et tu règneras sur tout ce que ton âme désire. Et David congédia Abner qui s'en alla en paix.

Y dijo Abner á David: Yo me levantaré é iré, y juntaré á mi señor el rey á todo Israel, para que hagan contigo alianza, y tú reines como deseas. David despidió luego á Abner, y él se fué en paz.

And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.

Abner said to David, “I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may reign over all that your soul desires.” David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.

Cependant les serviteurs de David et Joab revenaient d'une course et ramenaient avec eux un grand butin ; et Abner n'était plus auprès de David à Hébron, car David l'avait congédié et il s'en était allé en paix.

Y he aquí los siervos de David y Joab, que venían del campo, y traían consigo gran presa. Mas Abner no estaba con David en Hebrón, que ya lo había él despedido, y él se había ido en paz.

And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.

Behold, David’s servants and Joab came from a raid and brought in a great plunder with them; but Abner was not with David in Hebron, for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.

Et Joab et toute la troupe qui était avec lui arrivèrent, et on fit ce rapport à Joab : Abner, fils de Ner, est venu vers le roi, et il l'a congédié, et il s'en est allé en paix.

Y luego que llegó Joab y todo el ejército que con él estaba, fué dado aviso á Joab, diciendo: Abner hijo de Ner ha venido al rey, y él le ha despedido, y se fué en paz.

When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he hath sent him away, and he is gone in peace.

Et Joab se rendit chez le roi et dit : Qu'as-tu fait ? Voilà qu'Abner est venu vers toi ; pourquoi l'as-tu congédié et laissé partir ?

Entonces Joab vino al rey, y díjole: ¿Qué has hecho? He aquí habíase venido Abner á ti: ¿por qué pues lo dejaste que se fuése?

Then Joab came to the king, and said, What hast thou done? behold, Abner came unto thee; why is it that thou hast sent him away, and he is quite gone?

Then Joab came to the king and said, “What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you. Why is it that you have sent him away, and he is already gone?

Tu connais Abner, fils de Ner : c'est pour te tromper qu'il est venu, pour épier tes allées et tes venues et pour savoir tout ce que tu fais.

¿Sabes tú que Abner hijo de Ner ha venido para engañarte, y á saber tu salida y tu entrada, y por entender todo lo que tú haces?

Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive thee, and to know thy going out and thy coming in, and to know all that thou doest.

You know Abner the son of Ner. He came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.”

Et Joab étant sorti d'auprès de David envoya des messagers après Abner, qui le ramenèrent depuis la citerne de Sira, et David ne le savait pas.

Y saliéndose Joab de con David, envió mensajeros tras Abner, los cuales le volvieron desde el pozo de Sira, sin saberlo David.

And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.

Quand Abner fut de retour à Hébron, Joab le tira à l'écart dans l'intérieur de la porte, pour lui parler en secret, et là il le frappa au ventre, et il mourut, à cause du sang d'Asaël, frère de Joab.

Y como Abner volvió á Hebrón, apartólo Joab al medio de la puerta, hablando con él blandamente, y allí le hirió por la quinta costilla, á causa de la muerte de Asael su hermano, y murió.

And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

When Abner had returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside into the middle of the gate to speak with him quietly, and struck him there in the body, so that he died for the blood of Asahel his brother.

Et David l'apprit ensuite et il dit : Je suis à jamais innocent devant l'Eternel, moi et mon royaume, du sang d'Abner, fils de Ner.

Cuando David supo después esto, dijo: Limpio estoy yo y mi reino, por Jehová, para siempre, de la sangre de Abner hijo de Ner.

And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:

Que ce sang retombe sur la tête de Joab et sur toute la maison de son père ! Que la maison de Joab ne soit jamais sans un homme qui souffre d'un flux ou de la lèpre, ou qui s'appuie sur un bâton, ou qui tombe par l'épée, ou qui manque de pain !

Caiga sobre la cabeza de Joab, y sobre toda la casa de su padre; que nunca falte de la casa de Joab quien padezca flujo, ni leproso, ni quien ande con báculo, ni quien muera á cuchillo, ni quien tenga falta de pan.

Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father’s house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.

Let it fall on the head of Joab and on all his father’s house. Let there not fail from the house of Joab one who has a discharge, or who is a leper, or who leans on a staff, or who falls by the sword, or who lacks bread.”

Joab et Abisaï, son frère, avaient tué Abner parce qu'il avait donné la mort à Asaël, leur frère, à Gabaon, dans le combat.

Joab pues y Abisai su hermano mataron á Abner, porque él había muerto á Asael, hermano de ellos en la batalla de Gabaón.

So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.

Et David dit à Joab et à tout le peuple qui était avec lui : Déchirez vos vêtements, ceignez-vous de sacs, et marchez en menant le deuil devant Abner. Et le roi David marchait derrière le cercueil.

Entonces dijo David á Joab, y á todo el pueblo que con él estaba: Romped vuestros vestidos, y ceñíos de sacos, y haced duelo delante de Abner. Y el rey iba detrás del féretro.

And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.

David said to Joab and to all the people who were with him, “Tear your clothes, and clothe yourselves with sackcloth, and mourn in front of Abner.” King David followed the bier.

Et on enterra Abner à Hébron, et le roi pleura à haute voix sur le tombeau d'Abner et tout le peuple pleura.

Y sepultaron á Abner en Hebrón: y alzando el rey su voz, lloró junto al sepulcro de Abner; y lloró también todo el pueblo.

And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.

Et le roi fit une complainte sur Abner et dit :Abner devait-il mourir comme meurt un insensé ?

And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth?

The king lamented for Abner, and said, “Should Abner die as a fool dies?

Tes mains n'étaient pas liées Et tes pieds n'étaient pas dans des chaînes ! Tu es tombé comme on tombe devant les assassins ! Et tout le peuple continua à pleurer sur lui,

Tus manos no estaban atadas, ni tus pies ligados con grillos: caíste como los que caen delante de malos hombres. Y todo el pueblo volvió á llorar sobre él.

Thy hands were not bound, nor thy feet put into fetters: as a man falleth before wicked men, so fellest thou. And all the people wept again over him.

Your hands weren’t bound, and your feet weren’t put into fetters. As a man falls before the children of iniquity, so you fell.” All the people wept again over him.

et tout le peuple vint vers David pour lui faire prendre de la nourriture avant la fin du jour. Et David jura, disant : Que Dieu me fasse ainsi et qu'ainsi il y ajoute, si je goûte du pain ou quoi que ce soit avant le coucher du soleil !

Y como todo el pueblo viniese á dar de comer pan á David siendo aún de día, David juró, diciendo: Así me haga Dios y así me añada, si antes que se ponga el sol gustare yo pan, ú otra cualquier cosa.

And when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.

All the people came to urge David to eat bread while it was yet day; but David swore, saying, “God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else, until the sun goes down.”

Et tout le peuple le sut et l'approuva, comme il approuvait tout ce que faisait le roi.

Súpolo así todo el pueblo, y plugo en sus ojos; porque todo lo que el rey hacía parecía bien en ojos de todo el pueblo.

And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.

For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.

Et le roi dit à ses serviteurs : Ne savez-vous pas qu'un prince et un grand chef, est tombé aujourd'hui en Israël ?

Y el rey dijo á sus siervos: ¿No sabéis que ha caído hoy en Israel un príncipe, y grande?

And the king said unto his servants, Know ye not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?

The king said to his servants, “Don’t you know that a prince and a great man has fallen today in Israel?

Et pour moi, je suis encore faible, quoique j'aie reçu l'onction royale ; et ces hommes, les fils de Tséruja, sont trop forts pour moi. Que l'Eternel rende à celui qui fait le mal, selon le mal qu'il a fait !

Que yo ahora aun soy tierno rey ungido; y estos hombres, los hijos de Sarvia, muy duros me son: Jehová dé el pago al que mal hace, conforme á su malicia.

And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

I am weak today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah are too hard for me. May the LORD reward the evildoer according to his wickedness.”
