Und es war ein langer Streit zwischen Sauls Hause und dem Hause Davids. David aber ging hin und ward stark, und Sauls Haus ging hin und ward schwächer.

Y HUBO larga guerra entre la casa de Saúl y la casa de David; mas David se iba fortificando, y la casa de Saúl iba en disminución.

Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.

Und dem David wurden in Chebron Söhne geboren. Und sein Erstgeborener war Amnon von Achinoam, der Jisreelitin.

Y nacieron hijos á David en Hebrón: su primogénito fué Ammón, de Ahinoam Jezreelita;

And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;

Und sein zweiter Chilab von Abigail, dem Weibe Nabals, des Karmeliters, und der dritte Abschalom, Sohn der Maachah, der Tochter Talmais, des Königs von Geschur;

Und der sechste Jithream, von Eglah, Davids Weib. Diese wurden dem David in Chebron geboren.

Und es geschah, während Streit war zwischen dem Hause Sauls und dem Hause Davids, daß sich Abner im Hause Sauls stärkte.

Y como había guerra entre la casa de Saúl y la de David, aconteció que Abner se esforzaba por la casa de Saúl.

And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.

Und Saul hatte ein Kebsweib, und ihr Name war Rizpah, eine Tochter Ajahs. Und er sprach zu Abner: Warum bist du zu dem Kebsweib meines Vaters eingegangen?

Y había Saúl tenido una concubina que se llamaba Rispa, hija de Aja. Y dijo Is-boseth á Abner: ¿Por qué has entrado á la concubina de mi padre?

And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ish-bosheth said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in unto my father’s concubine?

Now Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah; and Ishbosheth said to Abner, “Why have you gone in to my father’s concubine?”

Und Abner entbrannte sehr über die Worte Isch-Boscheths und sprach: Bin ich ein Hundskopf, der es mit Judah hält? Bis heute tat ich Barmherzigkeit dem Hause Sauls, deines Vaters, seinen Brüdern und seinen Genossen, und habe dich nicht in die Hand Davids gegeben, und du willst mich heute wegen der Missetat mit dem Weibe heimsuchen?

Y enojóse Abner en gran manera por las palabras de Is-boseth, y dijo: ¿Soy yo cabeza de perros respecto de Judá? Yo he hecho hoy misericordia con la casa de Saúl tu padre, con sus hermanos, y con sus amigos, y no te he entregado en las manos de David: ¿y tú me haces hoy cargo del pecado de esta mujer?

Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dog’s head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman?

Then Abner was very angry about Ishbosheth’s words, and said, “Am I a dog’s head that belongs to Judah? Today I show kindness to your father Saul’s house, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David; and yet you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman!

So tue Gott an Abner, und so fahre Er fort mit ihm, wenn ich nicht, wie Jehovah dem David geschworen, also ihm tue.

Así haga Dios á Abner y así le añada, si como ha jurado Jehová á David no hiciere yo así con él,

So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD hath sworn to David, even so I do to him;

God do so to Abner, and more also, if, as the LORD has sworn to David, I don’t do even so to him:

Daß ich das Königtum vom Hause Sauls übergehen lasse und den Thron Davids über Israel und über Judah und von Dan bis Beerscheba aufrichte.

Trasladando el reino de la casa de Saúl, y confirmando el trono de David sobre Israel y sobre Judá, desde Dan hasta Beer-sebah.

To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beer-sheba.

to transfer the kingdom from Saul’s house, and to set up David’s throne over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.”

Und er vermochte dem Abner weiter kein Wort zu erwidern, weil er sich vor ihm fürchtete.

Und Abner sandte auf der Stelle Boten an David und ließ ihm sagen: Wessen ist das Land? Und sprach: Schließe deinen Bund mit mir, und siehe, meine Hand wird mit dir sein, daß ich dir ganz Israel zuwende.

Y envió Abner mensajeros á David de su parte, diciendo: ¿Cúya es la tierra? Y que le dijesen: Haz alianza conmigo, y he aquí que mi mano será contigo para volver á ti á todo Israel.

And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee.

Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, “Whose is the land?” and saying, “Make your alliance with me, and behold, my hand will be with you to bring all Israel around to you.”

Und er sprach: Gut, ich will einen Bund mit dir schießen; nur ein Ding erbitte ich mir von dir und spreche: Du sollst mein Angesicht nicht sehen, du habest mir denn zuvor Michal, Sauls Tochter, gebracht, wenn du kommen willst, mein Angesicht zu sehen.

Y David dijo: Bien; yo haré contigo alianza: mas una cosa te pido, y es, que no me vengas á ver sin que primero traigas á Michâl la hija de Saúl, cuando vinieres á verme.

And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou first bring Michal Saul’s daughter, when thou comest to see my face.

David said, “Good. I will make a treaty with you, but one thing I require of you. That is, you will not see my face unless you first bring Michal, Saul’s daughter, when you come to see my face.”

Und David sandte Boten an Isch-Boscheth, den Sohn Sauls, und ließ ihm sagen: Gib mir mein Weib Michal, die ich mit hundert Vorhäuten der Philister verlobt habe.

Después de esto envió David mensajeros á Is-boseth hijo de Saúl, diciendo: Restitúyeme á mi mujer Michâl, la cual yo desposé conmigo por cien prepucios de Filisteos.

And David sent messengers to Ish-bosheth Saul’s son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.

David sent messengers to Ishbosheth, Saul’s son, saying, “Deliver me my wife Michal, whom I was given to marry for one hundred foreskins of the Philistines.”

Und Isch-Boscheth sandte hin und nahm sie von dem Manne, dem Paltiel, dem Sohne des Laisch.

Entonces Is-boseth envió, y quitóla á su marido Paltiel, hijo de Lais.

And Ish-bosheth sent, and took her from her husband, even from Phaltiel the son of Laish.

Und ihr Mann ging mit ihr, er ging und weinte hinter ihr her bis Bachurim. Und Abner sprach zu ihm: Gehe, kehre zurück, und er kehrte zurück.

Y su marido fué con ella, siguiéndola y llorando hasta Bahurim. Y díjole Abner: Anda, vuélvete. Entonces él se volvió.

And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.

Her husband went with her, weeping as he went, and followed her to Bahurim. Then Abner said to him, “Go! Return!” and he returned.

Und Abner redete mit den Ältesten Israels und sprach: Schon gestern und ehegestern habt ihr getrachtet nach David, als dem Könige über euch.

Y habló Abner con los ancianos de Israel, diciendo: Ayer y antes procurabais que David fuese rey sobre vosotros;

And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, Ye sought for David in times past to be king over you:

Und nun tut es! Denn Jehovah hat über David gesprochen und gesagt: Durch die Hand Meines Knechtes David will Ich Mein Volk Israel von der Hand der Philister und von der Hand aller ihrer Feinde retten.

Ahora, pues, hacedlo; porque Jehová ha hablado á David, diciendo: Por la mano de mi siervo David libraré á mi pueblo Israel de mano de los Filisteos, y de mano de todos sus enemigos.

Now then do it: for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.

Now then do it! For the LORD has spoken of David, saying, ‘By the hand of my servant David, I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.’”

Und Abner redete auch vor den Ohren Benjamins, und Abner ging auch hin, zu reden vor den Ohren Davids in Chebron alles, was gut war in den Augen Israels und in den Augen des ganzen Hauses Benjamin.

Y habló también Abner á los de Benjamín: y fué también Abner á Hebrón á decir á David todo el parecer de los de Israel y de toda la casa de Benjamín.

And Abner also spake in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.

Und Abner kam zu David nach Chebron und mit ihm zwanzig Männer, und David machte Abner und den Männern, die mit ihm waren, ein Gastmahl.

Und Abner sprach zu David: Ich will mich aufmachen und hingehen und zu meinem Herrn, dem König, zusammenkommen lassen ganz Israel, daß sie einen Bund mit dir schlie-ßen, und du König seiest über alles, das deine Seele gelüstet. Und David entließ den Abner und er ging im Frieden.

Y dijo Abner á David: Yo me levantaré é iré, y juntaré á mi señor el rey á todo Israel, para que hagan contigo alianza, y tú reines como deseas. David despidió luego á Abner, y él se fué en paz.

And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.

Abner said to David, “I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you, and that you may reign over all that your soul desires.” David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.

Und siehe, die Knechte Davids und Joab kamen von einem Streifzug und brachten viel Beute mit sich. Abner aber war nicht mehr bei David in Chebron, denn er hatte ihn entlassen, und er ging im Frieden.

Y he aquí los siervos de David y Joab, que venían del campo, y traían consigo gran presa. Mas Abner no estaba con David en Hebrón, que ya lo había él despedido, y él se había ido en paz.

And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.

Behold, David’s servants and Joab came from a raid and brought in a great plunder with them; but Abner was not with David in Hebron, for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.

Und es kamen Joab und das ganze Heer, das mit ihm war. Und sie sagten dem Joab an und sprachen: Abner, der Sohn Ners, ist zum König gekommen, und er entließ ihn, und er ging im Frieden.

Y luego que llegó Joab y todo el ejército que con él estaba, fué dado aviso á Joab, diciendo: Abner hijo de Ner ha venido al rey, y él le ha despedido, y se fué en paz.

When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he hath sent him away, and he is gone in peace.

When Joab and all the army who was with him had come, they told Joab, “Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he has gone in peace.”

Und Joab kam zum König und sprach: Was hast du getan? Siehe, Abner ist zu dir gekommen. Warum hast du ihn entlassen, daß er ist fortgegangen?

Entonces Joab vino al rey, y díjole: ¿Qué has hecho? He aquí habíase venido Abner á ti: ¿por qué pues lo dejaste que se fuése?

Then Joab came to the king, and said, What hast thou done? behold, Abner came unto thee; why is it that thou hast sent him away, and he is quite gone?

Then Joab came to the king and said, “What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you. Why is it that you have sent him away, and he is already gone?

Du kennst den Abner, Ners Sohn, daß er gekommen ist, um dich zu bereden und zu erfahren deinen Ausgang und deinen Eingang und alles, was du tust.

¿Sabes tú que Abner hijo de Ner ha venido para engañarte, y á saber tu salida y tu entrada, y por entender todo lo que tú haces?

Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive thee, and to know thy going out and thy coming in, and to know all that thou doest.

You know Abner the son of Ner. He came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.”

Und Joab ging hinaus von David und sandte dem Abner Boten nach, und sie brachten ihn zurück von der Grube Sirah, David aber wußte es nicht.

Y saliéndose Joab de con David, envió mensajeros tras Abner, los cuales le volvieron desde el pozo de Sira, sin saberlo David.

And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.

Und Abner kehrte nach Chebron zurück; Joab aber nahm ihn inmitten des Tores bei Seite, um ruhig mit ihm zu reden, und stach ihm dort in die fünfte Rippe, daß er starb für das Blut seines Bruders Asahel.

Y como Abner volvió á Hebrón, apartólo Joab al medio de la puerta, hablando con él blandamente, y allí le hirió por la quinta costilla, á causa de la muerte de Asael su hermano, y murió.

And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

When Abner had returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside into the middle of the gate to speak with him quietly, and struck him there in the body, so that he died for the blood of Asahel his brother.

Und David hörte es hernach und sprach: Ich und mein Königreich sind in Ewigkeit unschuldig vor Jehovah, an dem Blute Abners, des Sohnes Ners;

And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:

Es kreise über dem Haupte Joabs und über dem ganzen Hause seines Vaters, und nie werde ausgerottet aus Joabs Hause der Flüssige und der Aussätzige und der sich an Krücken hält, und der durch das Schwert fällt und der Mangel hat an Brot.

Caiga sobre la cabeza de Joab, y sobre toda la casa de su padre; que nunca falte de la casa de Joab quien padezca flujo, ni leproso, ni quien ande con báculo, ni quien muera á cuchillo, ni quien tenga falta de pan.

Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father’s house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.

Let it fall on the head of Joab and on all his father’s house. Let there not fail from the house of Joab one who has a discharge, or who is a leper, or who leans on a staff, or who falls by the sword, or who lacks bread.”

Und Joab und sein Bruder Abischai hatten Abner dafür erwürgt, daß er ihren Bruder Asahel in Gibeon im Streite getötet hatte.

Joab pues y Abisai su hermano mataron á Abner, porque él había muerto á Asael, hermano de ellos en la batalla de Gabaón.

So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.

Und David sprach zu Joab und zu allem Volke, das mit ihm war: Zerreißet eure Kleider und gürtet euch Säcke um und klagt vor Abner her, und der König David ging hinter der Bahre.

Entonces dijo David á Joab, y á todo el pueblo que con él estaba: Romped vuestros vestidos, y ceñíos de sacos, y haced duelo delante de Abner. Y el rey iba detrás del féretro.

And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.

David said to Joab and to all the people who were with him, “Tear your clothes, and clothe yourselves with sackcloth, and mourn in front of Abner.” King David followed the bier.

Und sie begruben Abner in Chebron, und der König hob seine Stimme auf und weinte am Grabe Abners, und es weinte das ganze Volk.

Y sepultaron á Abner en Hebrón: y alzando el rey su voz, lloró junto al sepulcro de Abner; y lloró también todo el pueblo.

And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.

Und der König stimmte ein Klagelied an um Abner und sprach: Sollte Abner sterben, wie ein Tor stirbt?

Y endechando el rey al mismo Abner, decía: ¿Murió Abner como muere un villano?

And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth?

The king lamented for Abner, and said, “Should Abner die as a fool dies?

Deine Hände waren nicht gebunden und deine Füße nicht in Erzfesseln gelegt. Wie man fällt vor Söhnen der Verkehrtheit bist du gefallen. Und alles Volk klagte um ihn mit Weinen.

Tus manos no estaban atadas, ni tus pies ligados con grillos: caíste como los que caen delante de malos hombres. Y todo el pueblo volvió á llorar sobre él.

Thy hands were not bound, nor thy feet put into fetters: as a man falleth before wicked men, so fellest thou. And all the people wept again over him.

Your hands weren’t bound, and your feet weren’t put into fetters. As a man falls before the children of iniquity, so you fell.” All the people wept again over him.

Und alles Volk kam, um David mit Brot zu speisen noch am Tage, und David schwur und sprach: So tue mir Gott und so fahre Er fort, wenn ich vor Untergang der Sonne Brot oder irgend etwas koste.

Y como todo el pueblo viniese á dar de comer pan á David siendo aún de día, David juró, diciendo: Así me haga Dios y así me añada, si antes que se ponga el sol gustare yo pan, ú otra cualquier cosa.

And when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.

All the people came to urge David to eat bread while it was yet day; but David swore, saying, “God do so to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else, until the sun goes down.”

Und alles Volk erkannte es und es war gut in seinen Augen, wie alles, was der König tat, in den Augen des ganzen Volkes gut war.

Súpolo así todo el pueblo, y plugo en sus ojos; porque todo lo que el rey hacía parecía bien en ojos de todo el pueblo.

And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.

Und alles Volk und ganz Israel wußte an selbigem Tage, daß es nicht vom Könige war, daß Abner, Ners Sohn, getötet wurde.

Y todo el pueblo y todo Israel entendieron aquel día, que no había venido del rey que Abner hijo de Ner muriese.

For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.

Und der König sprach zu seinen Knechten: Wisset ihr nicht, daß ein Oberster und Großer an diesem Tage in Israel gefallen ist?

Y el rey dijo á sus siervos: ¿No sabéis que ha caído hoy en Israel un príncipe, y grande?

And the king said unto his servants, Know ye not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?

The king said to his servants, “Don’t you know that a prince and a great man has fallen today in Israel?

Und ich bin heute zart und zum König gesalbt, diese Männer aber, die Söhne Zerujahs, sind mir zu hart. Jehovah vergelte dem, der Böses tut, nach seiner Bosheit.

Que yo ahora aun soy tierno rey ungido; y estos hombres, los hijos de Sarvia, muy duros me son: Jehová dé el pago al que mal hace, conforme á su malicia.

And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

I am weak today, though anointed king. These men, the sons of Zeruiah are too hard for me. May the LORD reward the evildoer according to his wickedness.”
