And David assembled again all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.

And they conveyed the ark of God in a new wagon, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was on the hill; and ‘Uzzah and Achyo, the sons of Abinadab, guided the new wagon.

And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.

And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir–wood, and on harps, and on psalteries, and on tambourines, and with bells, and with cymbals.

Y David y toda la casa de Israel danzaban delante de Jehová con toda suerte de instrumentos de madera de haya; con arpas, salterios, adufes, flautas y címbalos.

And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

And when they came to the threshing–floor of Nachon, ‘Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against ‘Uzzah; and God smote him there for the error; and he died there by the ark of God.

Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Uzza, é hiriólo allí Dios por aquella temeridad, y cayó allí muerto junto al arca de Dios.

And it was grievous to David, because the Lord had suddenly taken away ‘Uzzah; and he called that place Perez–’uzzah Breach of ‘Uzzah until this day.

Y entristecióse David por haber herido Jehová á Uzza: y fué llamado aquel lugar Pérez-uzza, hasta hoy.

And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perez-uzzah to this day.

And David was afraid of the Lord on that day, and said, How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?

So David would not allow to have the ark of the Lord removed unto him into the city of David; but David had it carried round into the house of ‘Obed–edom the Gittite.

No quiso pues David traer á sí el arca de Jehová á la ciudad de David; mas llevóla David á casa de Obed-edom Getheo.

So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

So David would not move the LORD’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.

And the ark of the Lord remained in the house of ‘Obed–edom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed ‘Obed–edom, and all his household.

Y estuvo el arca de Jehová en casa de Obed-edom Getheo tres meses: y bendijo Jehová á Obed-edom y á toda su casa.

And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obed-edom, and all his household.

And it was told to king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of ‘Obed–edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God: and David then went and brought up the ark of God from the house of ‘Obed–edom into the city of David with joy.

Y fué dado aviso al rey David, diciendo: Jehová ha bendecido la casa de Obed-edom, y todo lo que tiene, á causa del arca de Dios. Entonces David fué, y trajo el arca de Dios de casa de Obed-edom á la ciudad de David con alegría.

And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with gladness.

King David was told, “The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark.” So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy.

And it happened, that when the bearers of the ark of the Lord had progressed six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fatling.

Y como los que llevaban el arca de Dios habían andado seis pasos, sacrificaban un buey y un carnero grueso.

And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

Y como el arca de Jehová llegó á la ciudad de David, aconteció que Michâl hija de Saúl miró desde una ventana, y vió al rey David que saltaba con toda su fuerza delante de Jehová: y menosprecióle en su corazón.

And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

And he dealt out to all the people, to the whole multitude of Israel, to both men and women, to every person one cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine: and all the people departed every one to his house.

Y repartió á todo el pueblo, y á toda la multitud de Israel, así á hombres como á mujeres, á cada uno una torta de pan, y un pedazo de carne, y un frasco de vino. Y fuése todo el pueblo, cada uno á su casa.

And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.

And David then returned to bless his household. But Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and she said, How honored was today the king of Israel, who uncovered himself today before the eyes of the hand–maids of his servants, as only one of the low fellows can uncover himself!

Volvió luego David para bendecir su casa: y saliendo Michâl á recibir á David, dijo: ¡Cuán honrado ha sido hoy el rey de Israel, desnudándose hoy delante de las criadas de sus siervos, como se desnudara un juglar!

Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!

And David said unto Michal, Before the Lord, who chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to ordain me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel:––yea, before the Lord will I yet farther play.

Entonces David respondió á Michâl: Delante de Jehová, que me eligió más bien que á tu padre y á toda su casa, mandándome que fuese príncipe sobre el pueblo de Jehová, sobre Israel, danzaré delante de Jehová.

And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.

David said to Michal, “It was before the LORD, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before the LORD.

And should I be yet more vile than thus, and should I be base in my own eyes: yet among the maid–servants of whom thou hast spoken, yea, among them would I still be honored.

Y aun me haré más vil que esta vez, y seré bajo á mis propios ojos; y delante de las criadas que dijiste, delante de ellas seré honrado.

And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

I will be yet more undignified than this, and will be worthless in my own sight. But the maids of whom you have spoken will honor me.”

And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child until the day of her death.
