2También derrotó a los moabitas. Los obligó a acostarse en el suelo y los midió con una cuerda: por cada dos medidas de cuerda les daba muerte, y por cada medida completa les perdonaba la vida. Así los moabitas pasaron a ser súbditos de David y le pagaron impuestos.

2And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.
