Luego David puso destacamentos militares en Damasco, y los sirios se convirtieron en sus súbditos y le pagaron impuestos. El Señor le daba la victoria a David por dondequiera que iba.

Puso luego David guarnición en Siria la de Damasco, y fueron los Siros siervos de David sujetos á tributo. Y Jehová guardó á David donde quiera que fué.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
