*Et il arriva, après cela, que David frappa les Philistins et les subjugua ; et David prit Métheg-Amma de la main des Philistins.

And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Metheg-ammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

Et il frappa Moab, et il les mesura au cordeau, les faisant coucher par terre, et il en mesura deux cordeaux pour les faire mourir, et un plein cordeau pour les laisser vivre ; et les Moabites devinrent serviteurs de David : ils lui apportèrent des présents.

Hirió también á los de Moab, y midiólos con cordel, haciéndolos echar por tierra; y midió con dos cordeles para muerte, y un cordel entero para vida; y fueron los Moabitas siervos debajo de tributo.

And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts.

Et David frappa Hadadézer, fils de Rehob, roi de Tsoba, comme il allait pour rétablir sa puissance sur le fleuve †Euphrate.

Asimismo hirió David á Hadad-ezer hijo de Rehob, rey de Soba, yendo él á extender su término hasta el río de Eufrates.

David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.

Et les Syriens de Damas vinrent au secours d’Hadadézer, roi de Tsoba ; et David frappa 22 000 hommes des Syriens.

Y vinieron los Siros de Damasco á dar ayuda á Hadad-ezer rey de Soba; y David hirió de los Siros veinte y dos mil hombres.

And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

Et David mit des garnisons dans la Syrie de Damas, et les Syriens devinrent serviteurs de David : ils lui apportèrent des présents. Et l’Éternel sauvait David partout où il allait.

Puso luego David guarnición en Siria la de Damasco, y fueron los Siros siervos de David sujetos á tributo. Y Jehová guardó á David donde quiera que fué.

Et Tohi, roi de Hamath, apprit que David avait frappé toutes les forces d’Hadadézer.

Entonces oyendo Toi, rey de Hamath, que David había herido todo el ejército de Hadad-ezer,

Et Tohi envoya Joram, son fils, au roi David, pour le saluer et le féliciter de ce qu’il avait fait la guerre à Hadadézer et l’avait battu ; car Hadadézer était continuellement en guerre avec Tohi ; et †Joram avait avec lui des vases d’argent, et des vases d’or, et des vases d’airain.

Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:

Ceux-ci aussi, le roi David les consacra à l’Éternel, avec l’argent et l’or qu’il avait consacrés de toutes les nations qu’il avait soumises :

Et David se fit un nom, en revenant d’avoir frappé les Syriens dans la vallée du Sel, †au nombre de 18 000.

Y ganó David fama cuando, volviendo de la rota de los Siros, hirió diez y ocho mil hombres en el valle de la sal.

And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.

And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;

et Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, †était chef des Keréthiens et des Peléthiens ; et les fils de David étaient les principaux officiers.

Y Benahía hijo de Joiada, era sobre los Ceretheos y Peletheos; y los hijos de David eran los príncipes.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief rulers.
