2 Samuel 9

Um dia Davi começou a indagar sobre a existência de pessoas da família de Saul. Ele havia prometido ao príncipe Jônatas ajudar sua família, e queria cumprir sua promessa.

Y DIJO David: ¿Ha quedado alguno de la casa de Saúl, á quien haga yo misericordia por amor de Jonathán?

And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?

David said, “Is there yet any who is left of Saul’s house, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

Nas suas indagações, ouviu falar de um homem chamado Ziba, que teria sido servo de Saul; Davi mandou trazer esse homem à sua presença e lhe perguntou: “Você é Ziba, o servo de Saul?” “Sim, senhor, eu sou”, respondeu o homem.

Y había un siervo de la casa de Saúl, que se llamaba Siba, al cual como llamaron que viniese á David, el rey le dijo: ¿Eres tú Siba? Y él respondió: Tu siervo.

And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

There was of Saul’s house a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him to David; and the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?” He said, “I am your servant.”

“Ainda vive alguém da família de Saul?”, perguntou o rei “Se existir, diga-me quem é para que eu possa mostrar bondade para com ele”. “Sim”, respondeu Ziba, “o filho de Jônatas ainda vive; ele é aleijado dos dois pés”.

Y el rey dijo: ¿No ha quedado nadie de la casa de Saúl, á quien haga yo misericordia de Dios? Y Siba respondió al rey: Aun ha quedado un hijo de Jonathán, lisiado de los pies.

And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

The king said, “Is there not yet any of Saul’s house, that I may show the kindness of God to him?” Ziba said to the king, “Jonathan still has a son, who is lame in his feet.”

“Onde ele está?”, perguntou o rei. “Ele está em Lo-Debar, na casa de Maquir, filho de Amiel”, respondeu Ziba ao rei.

Entonces el rey le dijo: ¿Y ése dónde está? Y Siba respondió al rey: He aquí, está en casa de Machîr hijo de Amiel, en Lodebar.

And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lo-debar.

The king said to him, “Where is he?” Ziba said to the king, “Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.”

Então Davi mandou buscá-lo de Lo-Debar.

Y envió el rey David, y tomólo de casa de Machîr hijo de Amiel, de Lodebar.

Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar.

Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar.

Quando Mefibosete, filho de Jônatas e neto de Saul, chegou diante de Davi, inclinou-se com o rosto no chão. Davi perguntou: “Você é Mefibosete?” Ele respondeu: “Sim, sou seu servo”.

Y venido Mephi-boseth, hijo de Jonathán hijo de Saúl, á David, postróse sobre su rostro, é hizo reverencia. Y dijo David: Mephi-boseth. Y él respondió: He aquí tu siervo.

Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, fell on his face, and showed respect. David said, “Mephibosheth?” He answered, “Behold, your servant!”

Porém Davi disse: “Não tenha medo! Mandei buscar você porque desejo ajudá-lo. Quero mostrar bondade a você por amor a Jônatas, seu pai. Vou devolver a você toda a terra que pertence ao seu avô Saul, e, além disso, você comerá sempre à minha mesa!”

Y díjole David: No tengas temor, porque yo á la verdad haré contigo misericordia por amor de Jonathán tu padre, y te haré volver todas las tierras de Saúl tu padre; y tú comerás siempre pan á mi mesa.

And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father’s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

David said to him, “Don’t be afraid, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father. You will eat bread at my table continually.”

Mefibosete curvou-se humildemente diante do rei e disse-lhe: “Como pode um rei mostrar bondade para alguém completamente sem valor como eu que pareço mais um cão morto?”

Y él inclinándose, dijo: ¿Quién es tu siervo, para que mires á un perro muerto como yo?

And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

He bowed down, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look at such a dead dog as I am?”

Então o rei chamou Ziba, o antigo servo de Saul, e disse: “Ziba, devolvi a Mefibosete, neto de Saul, tudo o que pertencia à família dele.

Entonces el rey llamó á Siba, siervo de Saúl, y díjole: Todo lo que fué de Saúl y de toda su casa, yo lo he dado al hijo de tu señor.

Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master’s son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.

Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him, “All that belonged to Saul and to all his house I have given to your master’s son.

Você, seus filhos e seus empregados vão cultivar a terra para ele e tirar da terra o alimento para toda a família de Mefibosete; porém Mefibosete ficará morando aqui no palácio comigo”. Ziba tinha quinze filhos e vinte empregados.

Tú pues le labrarás las tierras, tú con tus hijos, y tus siervos, y encerrarás los frutos, para que el hijo de tu señor tenga con qué mantenerse; y Mephi-boseth el hijo de tu señor comerá siempre pan á mi mesa. Y tenía Siba quince hijos y veinte siervos.

Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master’s son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master’s son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

Till the land for him—you, your sons, and your servants. Bring in the harvest, that your master’s son may have bread to eat; but Mephibosheth your master’s son will always eat bread at my table.” Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

Então Ziba respondeu: “O seu servo fará tudo de acordo com as ordens do rei, o meu senhor!” Daquele dia em diante, Mefibosete passou a comer à mesa de Davi como se fosse um dos seus filhos.

Y respondió Siba al rey: Conforme á todo lo que ha mandado mi señor el rey á su siervo, así lo hará tu siervo. Mephi-boseth, dijo el rey, comerá á mi mesa, como uno de los hijos del rey.

Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king’s sons.

Then Ziba said to the king, “According to all that my lord the king commands his servant, so your servant will do.” So Mephibosheth ate at the king’s table like one of the king’s sons.

Mefibosete tinha um filho ainda jovem chamado Mica. Todos os que moravam na casa de Ziba se tornaram servos de Mefibosete.

Y tenía Mephi-boseth un hijo pequeño, que se llamaba Michâ. Y toda la familia de la casa de Siba eran siervos de Mephi-boseth.

And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.

Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. All who lived in Ziba’s house were servants to Mephibosheth.

Depois de algum tempo, Mefibosete se mudou para Jerusalém e foi morar no palácio. Ele era aleijado dos dois pés.

Y moraba Mephi-boseth en Jerusalem, porque comía siempre á la mesa del rey: y era cojo de ambos pies.

So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king’s table; and was lame on both his feet.

So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. He was lame in both his feet.
