1Paul, et Silvain, et Timothée, à l’assemblée des Thessaloniciens, en Dieu notre Père et dans le seigneur Jésus Christ :
2Grâce et paix à vous, de la part de Dieu notre Père et du seigneur Jésus Christ !
3Nous devons toujours rendre grâces à Dieu pour vous, frères, comme il est juste, parce que votre foi augmente beaucoup et que l’amour de chacun de vous tous, l’un pour l’autre, abonde,
4en sorte que nous-mêmes nous nous glorifions de vous dans les assemblées de Dieu au sujet de votre patience et de votre foi dans toutes vos persécutions et dans les tribulations que vous supportez,
5[lesquelles sont] une démonstration du juste jugement de Dieu, pour que vous soyez estimés dignes du royaume de Dieu pour lequel aussi vous souffrez ;
6si du moins c’est une chose juste devant Dieu que de rendre la tribulation à ceux qui vous font subir la tribulation,
7et [que de vous donner], à vous qui subissez la tribulation, du repos avec nous dans la révélation du seigneur Jésus du ciel avec les anges de sa puissance,
8en flammes de feu, exerçant la vengeance contre ceux qui ne connaissent pas Dieu, et contre ceux qui n’obéissent pas à l’évangile de notre seigneur Jésus Christ ;
9lesquels subiront le châtiment d’une destruction éternelle de devant la présence du Seigneur et de devant la gloire de sa force,
10quand il viendra pour être, dans ce jour-là, glorifié dans ses saints et admiré dans tous ceux qui auront cru, car notre témoignage envers vous a été cru.
11C’est pour cela que nous prions aussi toujours pour vous, que notre Dieu vous juge dignes de l’appel, et qu’il accomplisse tout le bon plaisir de sa bonté et l’œuvre de la foi en puissance,
12en sorte que le nom de notre seigneur Jésus [Christ] soit glorifié en vous, et vous en lui, selon la grâce de notre Dieu et du seigneur Jésus Christ.

1PABLO, y Silvano, y Timoteo, á la iglesia de los Tesalonicenses que es en Dios nuestro Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo:
2Gracia y paz á vosotros de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
3Debemos siempre dar gracias á Dios de vosotros, hermanos, como es digno, por cuanto vuestra fe va creciendo, y la caridad de cada uno de todos vosotros abunda entre vosotros;
4Tanto, que nosotros mismos nos gloriamos de vosotros en las iglesias de Dios, de vuestra paciencia y fe en todas vuestras persecuciones y tribulaciones que sufrís:
5Una demostración del justo juicio de Dios, para que seáis tenidos por dignos del reino de Dios, por el cual asimismo padecéis.
6Porque es justo para con Dios pagar con tribulación á los que os atribulan.
7Y á vosotros, que sois atribulados, dar reposo con nosotros, cuando se manifestará el Señor Jesús del cielo con los ángeles de su potencia,
8En llama de fuego, para dar el pago á los que no conocieron á Dios, ni obedecen al evangelio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo;
9Los cuales serán castigados de eterna perdición por la presencia del Señor, y por la gloria de su potencia,
10Cuando viniere para ser glorificado en sus santos, y á hacerse admirable en aquel día en todos los que creyeron: (por cuanto nuestro testimonio ha sido creído entre vosotros.)
11Por lo cual, asimismo oramos siempre por vosotros, que nuestro Dios os tenga por dignos de su vocación, é hincha de bondad todo buen intento, y toda obra de fe con potencia,
12Para que el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea glorificado en vosotros, y vosotros en él, por la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesucristo.

1Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
4So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
11Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
12That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds,
4so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.
5This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of God’s Kingdom, for which you also suffer.
6For it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,
7and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,
8punishing those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus,
9who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,
10when he comes in that day to be glorified in his saints and to be admired among all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.
11To this end we also pray always for you that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith with power,
12that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
