Ahora, en cuanto a la venida del Señor Jesucristo, y nuestro encuentro con él, es nuestro deseo, hermanos míos,

EMPERO os rogamos, hermanos, cuanto á la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, y nuestro recogimiento á él,

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

Now, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to him, we ask you

Que no cambien fácilmente de opinión ni se turben con un espíritu, ni con una palabra, ni con una carta como de nosotros, con la sugerencia de que el día del Señor ya ha llegado;

Que no os mováis fácilmente de vuestro sentimiento, ni os conturbéis ni por espíritu, ni por palabra, ni por carta como nuestra, como que el día del Señor esté cerca.

That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

not to be quickly shaken in your mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter as if from us, saying that the day of Christ has already come.

No se dejen engañar: porque primero se apartaran de la fe, y la revelación del hombre de pecado, el hijo de la destrucción,

No os engañe nadie en ninguna manera; porque no vendrá sin que venga antes la apostasía, y se manifieste el hombre de pecado, el hijo de perdición,

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction.

El cual se pone contra toda autoridad, levantándose a sí mismo sobre todo lo que es nombrado Dios o se le da culto; para que tome asiento en el Templo de Dios, presentándose como Dios.

Oponiéndose, y levantándose contra todo lo que se llama Dios, ó que se adora; tanto que se asiente en el templo de Dios como Dios, haciéndose parecer Dios.

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

He opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God.

¿No recuerdan lo que dije cuando estaba con ustedes y les comuniqué estas cosas?

¿No os acordáis que cuando estaba todavía con vosotros, os decía esto?

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

Don’t you remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things?

Y ahora está claro para ustedes lo que está retrasando su revelación hasta que llegue el momento de ser visto.

Y ahora vosotros sabéis lo que impide, para que á su tiempo se manifieste.

And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

Now you know what is restraining him, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season.

Porque el secreto del mal está ahora mismo obrando: pero hay uno que está ocultando el mal hasta que lo quiten del camino.

Porque ya está obrando el misterio de iniquidad: solamente espera hasta que sea quitado de en medio el que ahora impide;

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

For the mystery of lawlessness already works. Only there is one who restrains now, until he is taken out of the way.

Y entonces vendrá la revelación de aquel malvado, a quien el Señor Jesús matará con el aliento de su boca, y dará a luz por la revelación de su venida;

Y entonces será manifestado aquel inicuo, al cual el Señor matará con el espíritu de su boca, y destruirá con el resplandor de su venida;

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the manifestation of his coming;

Inicuo cuya venida está marcada por la obra de Satanás, con todo poder, señales y falsas maravillas,

A aquel inicuo, cuyo advenimiento es según operación de Satanás, con grande potencia, y señales, y milagros mentirosos,

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Y con todo engaño de maldad entre aquellos cuyo destino es la destrucción; porque no quisieron aceptar y amar la verdad por el cual podrían tener la salvación.

Y con todo engaño de iniquidad en los que perecen; por cuanto no recibieron el amor de la verdad para ser salvos.

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Y por esta causa, Dios los entregará al poder del engaño y pondrán su fe en lo que es falso:

Por tanto, pues, les envía Dios operación de error, para que crean á la mentira;

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Because of this, God sends them a powerful delusion, that they should believe a lie,

Para que todos sean juzgados, los que no tuvieron fe en lo que es verdad, sino que se complacieron en el mal.

Para que sean condenados todos los que no creyeron á la verdad, antes consintieron á la iniquidad.

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

that they all might be judged who didn’t believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Pero es correcto que alabemos a Dios en todo momento por ustedes, hermanos, amados por el Señor, porque fue el propósito de Dios desde el principio que pudieran tener la salvación, ser hechos santos por el Espíritu y por la fe. en lo que es verdad:

Mas nosotros debemos dar siempre gracias á Dios por vosotros, hermanos amados del Señor, de que Dios os haya escogido desde el principio para salud, por la santificación del Espíritu y fe de la verdad:

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth,

Y con este propósito les dio parte a través de las buenas nuevas de las cuales nosotros fuimos los predicadores, incluso para que pudieran tener parte en la gloria de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

A lo cual os llamó por nuestro evangelio, para alcanzar la gloria de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

to which he called you through our Good News, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Entonces, hermanos, esfuércense en su propósito, y guarda la enseñanza que les ha sido dada por palabra o por carta de nosotros.

Así que, hermanos, estad firmes, y retened la doctrina que habéis aprendido, sea por palabra, ó por carta nuestra.

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

So then, brothers, stand firm and hold the traditions which you were taught by us, whether by word or by letter.

Ahora nuestro Señor Jesucristo mismo, y Dios nuestro Padre que nos amó y nos dio consuelo eterno y buena esperanza por medio de la gracia,

Y el mismo Señor nuestro Jesucristo, y Dios y Padre nuestro, el cual nos amó, y nos dió consolación eterna, y buena esperanza por gracia,

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

Les de consuelo en sus corazones y confirme en toda buena obra y palabra.

Consuele vuestros corazones, y os confirme en toda buena palabra y obra.

Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.
