1Finalmente, hermanos, les suplico que oren por nosotros. Pidan que el mensaje del Señor se propague rápidamente y que sea recibido y apreciado, como sucedió entre ustedes.
2Y oren para que seamos librados de personas perversas y malvadas, pues no todos tienen fe.
3El Señor, que es fiel, les dará fortaleza y los guardará del maligno.
4Confiamos en el Señor que ustedes estén poniendo en práctica nuestras enseñanzas, y que siempre lo harán.
5Que el Señor los lleve a amar como Dios lo hace y a ser pacientes como Cristo.
6Hermanos, un mandamiento les doy en nombre del Señor Jesucristo: Apártense de cualquier hermano que ande con holgazanerías y que no siga las enseñanzas que ustedes recibieron de nosotros.
7Ustedes saben bien que deben seguir nuestro ejemplo, y a nosotros jamás nos vieron sin hacer nada.
8Cuando queríamos comida la comprábamos; con fatiga y cansancio trabajábamos día y noche, para no ser una carga a ninguno de ustedes.
9Y no se trataba de que no tuviéramos el derecho de solicitar el sustento, sino de que queríamos enseñarles con el ejemplo.
10Estando aún entre ustedes, pusimos una regla: «El que no trabaja, que tampoco coma».
11Sin embargo, nos hemos enterado de que algunos de ustedes no trabajan y se pasan la vida sin hacer nada.
12En el nombre del Señor Jesucristo, les ordenamos a dichas personas que se pongan a trabajar tranquilamente para ganarse la vida.
13Hermanos, nunca se cansen de hacer el bien.
14Si alguien se niega a obedecer lo que decimos en esta carta, señálenlo delante de todos y no se junten con él, para que se avergüence.
15Pero no lo tengan como a un enemigo, sino repréndanlo como a un hermano.
16Que el Señor de paz les dé paz en todo tiempo y en cualquier circunstancia. El Señor esté con ustedes.
17Y aquí va el saludo que en todas mis cartas acostumbro escribir yo mismo para que se sepa que es una carta mía. Yo, Pablo. Esto es de mi puño y letra:
18Que nuestro Señor Jesucristo derrame su amor sobre todos ustedes.

1RESTA, hermanos, que oréis por nosotros, que la palabra del Señor corra y sea glorificada así como entre vosotros:
2Y que seamos librados de hombres importunos y malos; porque no es de todos la fe.
3Mas fiel es el Señor, que os confirmará y guardará del mal.
4Y tenemos confianza de vosotros en el Señor, que hacéis y haréis lo que os hemos mandado.
5Y el Señor enderece vuestros corazones en el amor de Dios, y en la paciencia de Cristo.
6Empero os denunciamos, hermanos, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que os apartéis de todo hermano que anduviere fuera de orden, y no conforme á la doctrina que recibieron de nosotros:
7Porque vosotros mismos sabéis de qué manera debéis imitarnos: porque no anduvimos desordenadamente entre vosotros,
8Ni comimos el pan de ninguno de balde; antes, obrando con trabajo y fatiga de noche y de día, por no ser gravosos á ninguno de vosotros;
9No porque no tuviésemos potestad, sino por daros en nosotros un dechado, para que nos imitaseis.
10Porque aun estando con vosotros, os denunciábamos esto: Que si alguno no quisiere trabajar, tampoco coma.
11Porque oímos que andan algunos entre vosotros fuera de orden, no trabajando en nada, sino ocupados en curiosear.
12Y á los tales requerimos y rogamos por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que, trabajando con reposo, coman su pan.
13Y vosotros, hermanos, no os canséis de hacer bien.
14Y si alguno no obedeciere á nuestra palabra por carta, notad al tal, y no os juntéis con él, para que se avergüence.
15Mas no lo tengáis como á enemigo, sino amonestadle como á hermano.
16Y el mismo Señor de paz os dé siempre paz en toda manera. El Señor sea con todos vosotros.
17Salud de mi mano, Pablo, que es mi signo en toda carta mía: así escribo.
18La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos vosotros. Amén. La segunda Epístola á los Tesalonicenses fué escrita de Atenas.

1Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
4And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
5And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
17The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

1Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you,
2and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith.
3But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
4We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do and will do the things we command.
5May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and into the perseverance of Christ.
6Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion and not after the tradition which they received from us.
7For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn’t behave ourselves rebelliously among you,
8neither did we eat bread from anyone’s hand without paying for it, but in labor and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you.
9This was not because we don’t have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.
10For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: “If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat.”
11For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies.
12Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread.
13But you, brothers, don’t be weary in doing what is right.
14If any man doesn’t obey our word in this letter, note that man and have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.
15Don’t count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
