Finalmente, queridos irmãos, chegando ao fim desta carta, peço-lhes que orem por nós. Orem para que a mensagem do Senhor se espalhe rapidamente e triunfe por onde quer que vá, como aconteceu quando ela chegou a vocês.
RESTA, hermanos, que oréis por nosotros, que la palabra del Señor corra y sea glorificada así como entre vosotros:
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

Orem também para que sejamos salvos das garras dos homens perversos e maus, pois nem todos creem na Palavra.
Y que seamos librados de hombres importunos y malos; porque no es de todos la fe.
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith.
Mas o Senhor é fiel; ele fará vocês fortes e os guardará dos ataques do Maligno.

E confiamos no Senhor que vocês estejam pondo em prática as coisas que nós lhes ensinamos, e que continuarão a fazer isso.
Y tenemos confianza de vosotros en el Señor, que hacéis y haréis lo que os hemos mandado.
And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

Que o Senhor faça vocês se aprofundarem cada vez mais na compreensão do amor de Deus e na perseverança que vem de Cristo.
Y el Señor enderece vuestros corazones en el amor de Dios, y en la paciencia de Cristo.
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and into the perseverance of Christ.
Agora eis aqui uma ordem, irmãos, que eu dou em nome do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, por sua autoridade: Afastem-se de qualquer irmão que gaste os dias na preguiça e que não siga o que nós prescrevemos para vocês.
Empero os denunciamos, hermanos, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que os apartéis de todo hermano que anduviere fuera de orden, y no conforme á la doctrina que recibieron de nosotros:
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Porque vocês sabem muito bem que devem seguir o nosso exemplo: Vocês nunca nos viram ociosos quando estivemos com vocês;

For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn’t behave ourselves rebelliously among you,
nunca aceitamos comida de ninguém sem pagar; trabalhamos duramente dia e noite pelo dinheiro que necessitávamos para nos mantermos, a fim de não sermos uma carga para nenhum de vocês.
Ni comimos el pan de ninguno de balde; antes, obrando con trabajo y fatiga de noche y de día, por no ser gravosos á ninguno de vosotros;
Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
neither did we eat bread from anyone’s hand without paying for it, but in labor and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you.
Não era porque não tivéssemos o direito de pedir-lhes que nos sustentassem, mas porque queríamos mostrar-lhes pelo exemplo como vocês deviam trabalhar para viver.
No porque no tuviésemos potestad, sino por daros en nosotros un dechado, para que nos imitaseis.
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
This was not because we don’t have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.
Mesmo enquanto ainda estávamos aí, nós lhes demos este preceito: “Aquele que não trabalha, não deve comer”.
Porque aun estando con vosotros, os denunciábamos esto: Que si alguno no quisiere trabajar, tampoco coma.
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: “If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat.”
Soubemos que alguns de vocês estão vivendo na ociosidade, recusando-se a trabalhar, e gastando o tempo metendo-se na vida alheia.
Porque oímos que andan algunos entre vosotros fuera de orden, no trabajando en nada, sino ocupados en curiosear.
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies.
No nome do Senhor Jesus Cristo fazemos um apelo a tais pessoas — e lhes ordenamos — que se aquietem, arranjem trabalho e ganhem seu próprio sustento.
Y á los tales requerimos y rogamos por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que, trabajando con reposo, coman su pan.
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread.
E aos demais, digo-lhes, queridos irmãos: Nunca se cansem de fazer o bem.
Y vosotros, hermanos, no os canséis de hacer bien.
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
But you, brothers, don’t be weary in doing what is right.
Se alguém se recusar a obedecer ao que dizemos nesta carta, vejam quem é e afastem-se dele, a fim de que ele se sinta envergonhado.
Y si alguno no obedeciere á nuestra palabra por carta, notad al tal, y no os juntéis con él, para que se avergüence.
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
If any man doesn’t obey our word in this letter, note that man and have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.
Não olhem para ele como um inimigo, porém falem com ele como a um irmão que necessita ser admoestado.
Mas no lo tengáis como á enemigo, sino amonestadle como á hermano.
Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Don’t count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Que o próprio Senhor da paz lhes dê a sua paz, aconteça o que acontecer, e que o Senhor esteja com todos vocês.
Y el mismo Señor de paz os dé siempre paz en toda manera. El Señor sea con todos vosotros.
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.
Agora, a minha saudação, que estou escrevendo de próprio punho, como faço no final de todas as minhas cartas, como prova de que ela é na realidade proveniente de mim. Esta é minha própria letra.
