à Timothée mon enfant bien-aimé : Grâce, miséricorde, paix de la part de Dieu le Père, et de Jésus-Christ notre Seigneur !

A Timoteo, amado hijo: Gracia, misericordia, y paz de Dios el Padre y de Jesucristo nuestro Señor.

To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Je rends grâces à Dieu, que mes ancêtres ont servi et que je sers avec une conscience pure, comme je ne cesse de faire mention de toi dans mes prières, nuit et jour ;

Doy gracias á Dios, al cual sirvo desde mis mayores con limpia conciencia, de que sin cesar tengo memoria de ti en mis oraciones noche y día;

I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

désirant fort de te voir, en me souvenant de tes larmes, afin d'être rempli de joie ;

Deseando verte, acordándome de tus lágrimas, para ser lleno de gozo;

Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

longing to see you, remembering your tears, that I may be filled with joy;

ayant été amené à me souvenir de la foi sincère qui est en toi, qui habita d'abord en Loïs ton aïeule, et en Eunice ta mère, et qui, j'en suis persuadé, habite aussi en toi.

Trayendo á la memoria la fe no fingida que hay en ti, la cual residió primero en tu abuela Loida, y en tu madre Eunice; y estoy cierto que en ti también.

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

having been reminded of the sincere faith that is in you, which lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, in you also.

C'est pourquoi je te rappelle de rallumer le don de Dieu qui est en toi par l'imposition de mes mains.

Por lo cual te aconsejo que despiertes el don de Dios, que está en ti por la imposición de mis manos.

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

For this cause, I remind you that you should stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Car Dieu ne nous a point donné un Esprit de timidité, mais de puissance et de charité et de prudence.

Porque no nos ha dado Dios el espíritu de temor, sino el de fortaleza, y de amor, y de templanza.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

N'aie donc point honte du témoignage de notre Seigneur, ni de moi son prisonnier ; mais souffre avec moi pour l'Evangile, selon la puissance de Dieu,

Por tanto no te avergüences del testimonio de nuestro Señor, ni de mí, preso suyo; antes sé participante de los trabajos del evangelio según la virtud de Dios,

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Therefore don’t be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure hardship for the Good News according to the power of God,

qui nous a sauvés, et nous a appelés par une vocation sainte, non selon nos œuvres, mais selon son propre dessein et selon la grâce qui nous a été donnée en Jésus-Christ, avant les temps éternels,

Que nos salvó y llamó con vocación santa, no conforme á nuestras obras, mas según el intento suyo y gracia, la cual nos es dada en Cristo Jesús antes de los tiempos de los siglos,

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

pour lequel j'ai été établi prédicateur, et apôtre et docteur des païens.

Del cual yo soy puesto predicador, y apóstol, y maestro de los Gentiles.

Where unto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

C'est aussi pour cette cause que je souffre ces choses ; mais je n'ai point de honte ; car je sais en qui j'ai cru, et je suis persuadé qu'il est puissant pour garder mon dépôt jusqu'à ce jour-là.

Por lo cual asimismo padezco esto: mas no me avergüenzo; porque yo sé á quien he creído, y estoy cierto que es poderoso para guardar mi depósito para aquel día.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Retiens le modèle des saines paroles que tu as entendues de moi dans la foi et dans la charité qui est en Jésus-Christs.

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Hold the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Garde le bon dépôt par le Saint-Esprit qui habite en nous.

Guarda el buen depósito por el Espíritu Santo que habita en nosotros.

That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

That good thing which was committed to you, guard through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

Tu sais que tous ceux qui sont en Asie m'ont abandonné, du nombre desquels sont Phygelle et Hermogène.

Ya sabes esto, que me han sido contrarios todos los que son en Asia, de los cuales son Figello y Hermógenes.

This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

Le Seigneur fasse miséricorde à la maison d'Onésiphore ; car il m'a souvent consolé, et il n'a point eu honte de ma chaîne ;

Dé el Señor misericordia á la casa de Onesíforo; que muchas veces me refrigeró, y no se avergonzó de mi cadena:

au contraire, quand il a été à Rome, il m'a cherché fort soigneusement, et il m'a trouvé.

Le Seigneur lui fasse trouver miséricorde auprès du Seigneur en ce jour-là ; et tu sais mieux que personne combien de services il a rendus à Ephèse.

Déle el Señor que halle misericordia cerca del Señor en aquel día. Y cuánto nos ayudó en Efeso, tú lo sabes mejor.

The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

(the Lord grant to him to find the Lord’s mercy in that day); and in how many things he served at Ephesus, you know very well.
