Se siamo infedeli, egli pur rimane fedele; egli non può rinnegar sè stesso.

RAMMEMORA queste cose, protestando, nel cospetto di Dio, che non si contenda di parole, il che a nulla è utile, anzi è per sovvertir gli uditori.
Recuérdales esto, protestando delante del Señor que no contiendan en palabras, lo cual para nada aprovecha, antes trastorna á los oyentes.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
Ma schiva le profane vanità di voci; perciocchè procederanno innanzi a maggiore empietà.

Ma pure il fondamento di Dio sta fermo, avendo questo suggello: Il Signore conosce que' che son suoi, e: Ritraggasi dall'iniquità chiunque nomina il nome di Cristo.
Pero el fundamento de Dios está firme, teniendo este sello: Conoce el Señor á los que son suyos; y: Apártese de iniquidad todo aquel que invoca el nombre de Cristo.
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Or fuggi gli appetiti giovanili, e procaccia giustizia, fede, carità, pace con quelli che di cuor puro invocano il Signore.

Que con mansedumbre corrija á los que se oponen: si quizá Dios les dé que se arrepientan para conocer la verdad,
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
