Esas personas son los que se introducen en casas ajenas y engañan a mujeres tontas y cargadas de pecado, a las que les gusta correr en pos de sus pasiones;

Así como Janes y Jambres combatieron a Moisés, aquellas personas combaten la verdad; tienen la mente depravada y han fracasado en la fe.
Y de la manera que Jannes y Jambres resistieron á Moisés, así también éstos resisten á la verdad; hombres corruptos de entendimiento, réprobos acerca de la fe.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

También sabes cuántas persecuciones y sufrimientos he tenido que afrontar especialmente en Antioquía, Iconio y Listra; pero el Señor me ha librado de todo ello.
Persecuciones, aflicciones, cuales me sobrevinieron en Antioquía, en Iconio, en Listra, cuales persecuciones he sufrido; y de todas me ha librado el Señor.

Desde tu niñez conoces las Sagradas Escrituras, y estas te pueden dar la sabiduría que se necesita para la salvación mediante la fe en Cristo Jesús.
Y que desde la niñez has sabido las Sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salud por la fe que es en Cristo Jesús.
