1Te ordeno solemnemente en la presencia de Dios y de Cristo Jesús, quien ha de juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos en su venida y en su Reino:
2Predica la palabra; insiste a tiempo y a destiempo; corrige, reprende y anima con mucha paciencia, sin dejar de enseñar.
3Porque llegará el tiempo en que la gente no soportará la sana doctrina, sino que para complacer sus propios deseos, se rodearán de maestros que les digan lo que quieren oír.
4Cerrarán sus oídos a la verdad y se volverán a los mitos.
5Pero tú, mantén la calma en toda situación, soporta los sufrimientos, haz la obra de un evangelista y cumple bien tu ministerio.
6Porque mi vida ya está siendo derramada como una ofrenda, y se acerca el momento de mi partida.
7He peleado la buena batalla, he terminado la carrera, he mantenido la fe.
8Por lo demás, me espera la corona de justicia que el Señor, el juez justo, me entregará en aquel día; y no solo a mí, sino también a todos los que esperan con amor su venida.
9Haz todo lo posible por venir a verme pronto,
10porque Demas me ha abandonado por amor a este mundo, y se fue a Tesalónica. Crescente se fue a Galacia, y Tito a Dalmacia.
11Solo Lucas está conmigo. Busca a Marcos y tráelo contigo, porque me es de gran ayuda en el ministerio.
12A Tíquico lo envié a Éfeso.
13Cuando vengas, tráeme la capa que dejé en Troas en casa de Carpo; trae también los libros, y especialmente los pergaminos.
14Alejandro, el herrero, me ha causado mucho daño. El Señor le pagará conforme a sus obras.
15Ten cuidado con él, porque se ha opuesto ferozmente a nuestro mensaje.
16En mi primera defensa nadie me respaldó, sino que todos me abandonaron. ¡Que no se les tome en cuenta!
17Pero el Señor sí estuvo a mi lado y me dio fuerzas, para que por medio de mí el mensaje fuera proclamado con claridad y lo escucharan todos los gentiles. Así fui librado de la boca del león.
18El Señor me librará de todo mal y me salvará para su Reino celestial. ¡A él sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos! Amén.
19Saluda a Prisca y a Aquila, y a la familia de Onesíforo.
20Erasto se quedó en Corinto, y a Trófimo lo dejé enfermo en Mileto.
21Haz todo lo posible por venir antes del invierno. Te saludan Eubulo, Pudente, Lino, Claudia y todos los hermanos.
22El Señor esté con tu espíritu. Que la gracia sea con ustedes. Amén.

1REQUIERO yo pues delante de Dios, y del Señor Jesucristo, que ha de juzgar á los vivos y los muertos en su manifestación y en su reino,
2Que prediques la palabra; que instes á tiempo y fuera de tiempo; redarguye, reprende, exhorta con toda paciencia y doctrina.
3Porque vendrá tiempo cuando no sufrirán la sana doctrina; antes, teniendo comezón de oir, se amontonarán maestros conforme á sus concupiscencias,
4Y apartarán de la verdad el oído, y se volverán á las fábulas.
5Pero tú vela en todo, soporta las aflicciones, haz la obra de evangelista, cumple tu ministerio.
6Porque yo ya estoy para ser ofrecido, y el tiempo de mi partida está cercano.
7He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe.
8Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, juez justo, en aquel día; y no sólo á mí, sino también á todos los que aman su venida.

13Trae, cuando vinieres, el capote que dejé en Troas en casa de Carpo: y los libros, mayormente los pergaminos.
14Alejandro el calderero me ha causado muchos males: el Señor le pague conforme á sus hechos.
15Guárdate tú también de él; que en grande manera ha resistido á nuestras palabras.
16En mi primera defensa ninguno me ayudó, antes me desampararon todos: no les sea imputado.
17Mas el Señor me ayudó, y me esforzó para que por mí fuese cumplida la predicación, y todos los Gentiles oyesen; y fuí librado de la boca del león.
18Y el Señor me librará de toda obra mala, y me preservará para su reino celestial: al cual sea gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
9Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
10For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
11Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

16At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
17Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

2preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching.
3For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts,
4and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn away to fables.
5But you be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry.
6For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.
7I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.
8From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
9Be diligent to come to me soon,
10for Demas left me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia; and Titus to Dalmatia.
11Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service.
