1Por lo tanto, te doy este encargo solemne ante Dios y ante Jesucristo, que juzgará a los vivos y a los muertos cuando venga en su reino:
2Con urgencia predica la palabra de Dios; hazlo sea o no sea oportuno; corrige, reprende y anima con mucha paciencia, sin dejar de enseñar.
3Llegará el momento en que la gente no querrá escuchar la sana enseñanza, sino que, guiada por sus propios deseos, se rodeará de maestros que le digan lo que desea oír.
4Estas personas, en vez de escuchar la verdad, se volverán a los mitos.
5Por eso, tú mantente vigilante en todas las circunstancias, no temas sufrir, dedícate a la evangelización, cumple con los deberes de tu ministerio.
6Yo, por mi parte, dentro de muy poco seré ofrecido en sacrificio y partiré a estar con el Señor.
7He peleado la buena batalla, he llegado al final de la carrera y me he mantenido fiel.
8Por lo demás, me espera la corona de justicia que el Señor, juez justo, me dará en aquel gran día. Y no sólo a mí, sino a todos los que con amor esperan su venida.
9Haz todo lo que te sea posible para venir pronto a verme,
10porque Demas me abandonó por amor a las cosas de este mundo y se fue a Tesalónica. Crescente se fue a Galacia, y Tito a Dalmacia.
11Sólo Lucas está conmigo. Trae a Marcos cuando vengas, porque me ayudará en mi ministerio.
12A Tíquico lo mandé a Éfeso.
13Cuando vengas, acuérdate de traerme la capa que dejé en Troas en casa de Carpo, y también los libros, especialmente los pergaminos.
14Alejandro el herrero me ha hecho mucho daño. Que el Señor lo castigue.
15Cuídate de él, pues se ha opuesto tenazmente a nuestra predicación.
16La primera vez que comparecí ante el juez nadie me respaldó. Todos me desampararon. Que esto no se les tome en cuenta.
17Pero el Señor estuvo a mi lado y me dio fuerzas para predicar el mensaje que todos oyeron. Dios me libró de la boca del león.
18El Señor me librará de todo mal y me preservará para su reino celestial. A él sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
19Saluda en mi nombre a Priscila y a Aquila, y a los de la casa de Onesíforo.
20Erasto se quedó en Corinto, y a Trófimo lo dejé enfermo en Mileto.
21Trata de venir antes del invierno. Eubulo te manda saludos, así como Pudente, Lino, Claudia y los demás hermanos.
22Que el Señor esté con tu espíritu. Que su amor sea con ustedes.

1REQUIERO yo pues delante de Dios, y del Señor Jesucristo, que ha de juzgar á los vivos y los muertos en su manifestación y en su reino,
2Que prediques la palabra; que instes á tiempo y fuera de tiempo; redarguye, reprende, exhorta con toda paciencia y doctrina.
3Porque vendrá tiempo cuando no sufrirán la sana doctrina; antes, teniendo comezón de oir, se amontonarán maestros conforme á sus concupiscencias,
4Y apartarán de la verdad el oído, y se volverán á las fábulas.
5Pero tú vela en todo, soporta las aflicciones, haz la obra de evangelista, cumple tu ministerio.
6Porque yo ya estoy para ser ofrecido, y el tiempo de mi partida está cercano.
7He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe.
8Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, juez justo, en aquel día; y no sólo á mí, sino también á todos los que aman su venida.

13Trae, cuando vinieres, el capote que dejé en Troas en casa de Carpo: y los libros, mayormente los pergaminos.
14Alejandro el calderero me ha causado muchos males: el Señor le pague conforme á sus hechos.
15Guárdate tú también de él; que en grande manera ha resistido á nuestras palabras.
16En mi primera defensa ninguno me ayudó, antes me desampararon todos: no les sea imputado.
17Mas el Señor me ayudó, y me esforzó para que por mí fuese cumplida la predicación, y todos los Gentiles oyesen; y fuí librado de la boca del león.
18Y el Señor me librará de toda obra mala, y me preservará para su reino celestial: al cual sea gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
9Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
10For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

16At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
17Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

3For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts,
4and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn away to fables.
5But you be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry.
6For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.
7I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.
8From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
9Be diligent to come to me soon,
10for Demas left me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia; and Titus to Dalmatia.
11Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service.
