Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Pois alegrei-me muito quando vieram irmãos e testemunharam da tua verdade, de como andas na verdade.

For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
They have testified about your love before the assembly. You will do well to send them forward on their journey in a way worthy of God,

I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

Por isso, se eu vier, recordarei das obras que ele pratica, pois ele propaga palavras más contra nós. E, não satisfeito com essas ações, o próprio Diótrefes não recebe os irmãos, e ainda proíbe aqueles que desejam fazê-lo, lançando-os fora da congregação.
Por esta causa, si yo viniere, recordaré las obras que hace parlando con palabras maliciosas contra nosotros; y no contento con estas cosas, no recibe á los hermanos, y prohibe á los que los quieren recibir, y los echa de la iglesia.
Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
Therefore, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words. Not content with this, he doesn’t receive the brothers himself, and those who would, he forbids and throws out of the assembly.
Amado, não imites o mal, mas o bem. Aquele que pratica o bem é de Deus; aquele que pratica o mal não viu a Deus.
Amado, no sigas lo que es malo, sino lo que es bueno. El que hace bien es de Dios: mas el que hace mal, no ha visto á Dios.
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Beloved, don’t imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He who does good is of God. He who does evil hasn’t seen God.
Quanto a Demétrio, este recebe bom testemunho de todos, até da própria verdade. Nós também damos testemunho, e tu sabes que nosso testemunho é verdadeiro.
Todos dan testimonio de Demetrio, y aun la misma verdad: y también nosotros damos testimonio; y vosotros habéis conocido que nuestro testimonio es verdadero.
Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.
Demetrius has the testimony of all, and of the truth itself; yes, we also testify, and you know that our testimony is true.
Eu tinha muitas coisas para te escrever, porém não desejo fazê-lo com pena e tinta.
Yo tenía muchas cosas que escribirte; empero no quiero escribirte por tinta y pluma:
I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:

Mas espero te ver em breve, e falaremos face a face.
