Y oyeron los apóstoles, y los hermanos que estaban en Judea, que también los Gentiles habían recibido la palabra de Dios.

I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

“I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision: a certain container descending, like it was a great sheet let down from heaven by four corners. It came as far as me.

En el cual como puse los ojos, consideré, y ví animales terrestres cuadrúpedos, y fieras, y reptiles, y aves del cielo.

Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

When I had looked intently at it, I considered, and saw the four-footed animals of the earth, wild animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky.

And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Cæsarea unto me.

Y el Espíritu me dijo, que me fuese con ellos sin dudar. Y vinieron también conmigo estos seis hermanos, y entrámos en la casa del varón,

And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:

El cual nos contó como había visto a un ángel en su casa, que se paró, y le dijo: Envía hombres a Joppe, y haz venir a Simón, que tiene por sobrenombre Pedro,

And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

He told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying to him, ‘Send to Joppa and get Simon, who is called Peter,

El cual te hablará palabras por las cuales serás salvo tú, y toda tu casa.

Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

Así que, si Dios les dio el mismo don a ellos también como a nosotros que hemos creído en el Señor Jesu Cristo, ¿quién era yo que pudiese estorbar a Dios?

Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

Entonces, oídas estas cosas, callaron, y glorificaron a Dios, diciendo: De manera que también a los Gentiles ha dado Dios arrepentimiento para vida.

¶ Y los que habían sido esparcidos por la persecución que fue hecha a causa de Esteban, anduvieron hasta Fenicia, y Chipre, y Antioquía, no hablando a nadie la palabra, sino a solos los Judíos.

Y los que habían sido esparcidos por causa de la tribulación que sobrevino en tiempo de Esteban, anduvieron hasta Fenicia, y Cipro, y Antioquía, no hablando á nadie la palabra, sino sólo á los Judíos.

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

They therefore who were scattered abroad by the oppression that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews only.

Y algunos de ellos eran varones de Chipre, y de Cirene, los cuales como entraron en Antioquía, hablaron a los Griegos, anunciándoles al Señor Jesús.

Y de ellos había unos varones Ciprios y Cirenenses, los cuales como entraron en Antioquía, hablaron á los Griegos, anunciando el evangelio del Señor Jesús.

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

Y la mano del Señor era con ellos; y un gran número creyendo se convirtió al Señor.

And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

Y llegó la fama de estas cosas a oídos de la iglesia que estaba en Jerusalem; y enviaron a Barnabás que fuese hasta Antioquía:

Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

The report concerning them came to the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem. They sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch,

El cual como llegó, y vio la gracia de Dios, se gozó; y exhortó a todos que con propósito de corazón permaneciesen en el Señor.

El cual, como llegó, y vió la gracia de Dios, regocijóse; y exhortó á todos á que permaneciesen en el propósito del corazón en el Señor.

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

Porque era varón bueno, y lleno del Espíritu Santo, y de fe; y mucha gente fue allegada al Señor.

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

Y se partió Barnabás a Tarso para buscar a Saulo:

Después partió Bernabé á Tarso á buscar á Saulo; y hallado, le trajo á Antioquía.

Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

Y hallándole, le trajo a Antioquía. Y sucedió que todo un año se reunieron allí con la iglesia; y enseñaron mucha gente: y los discípulos fueron llamados Cristianos primeramente en Antioquía.

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Y en aquellos días descendieron de Jerusalem profetas a Antioquía.

And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

Y levantándose uno de ellos, llamado Agabo, daba a entender por el Espíritu, que había de haber una grande hambre en todo el mundo, la cual también vino en tiempo de Claudio César.

And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Cæsar.

One of them named Agabus stood up and indicated by the Spirit that there should be a great famine all over the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius.

Entonces los discípulos, cada uno conforme a lo que tenía, determinaron de enviar subsidio a los hermanos que habitaban en Judea.

Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judæa:

As any of the disciples had plenty, each determined to send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea;

Lo cual asimismo hicieron, enviándolo a los ancianos por mano de Barnabás y de Saulo.
