Et Hérode l’ayant cherché, et ne le trouvant point, après en avoir fait le procès aux gardes, il commanda qu’ils fussent menés au supplice. Puis il descendit de Judée à Césarée, où il séjourna.

And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judæa to Cæsarea, and there abode.
