OR in Antiochia, nella chiesa che vi era, v'eran certi profeti, e dottori, cioè: Barnaba, e Simeone, chiamato Niger, e Lucio Cireneo, e Manaen, figliuol della nutrice di Erode il tetrarca, e Saulo.

HABÍA entonces en la iglesia que estaba en Antioquía, profetas y doctores: Bernabé, y Simón el que se llamaba Niger, y Lucio Cireneo, y Manahén, que había sido criado con Herodes el tetrarca, y Saulo.

Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Now in the assembly that was at Antioch there were some prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

E mentre facevano il pubblico servigio del Signore, e digiunavano, lo Spirito Santo disse: Appartatemi Barnaba e Saulo, per l'opera, alla quale io li ho chiamati.

Ministrando pues éstos al Señor, y ayunando, dijo el Espíritu Santo: Apartadme á Bernabé y á Saulo para la obra para la cual los he llamado.

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them.”

Allora, dopo aver digiunato, e fatte orazioni, imposer loro le mani, e li accommiatarono.

Entonces habiendo ayunado y orado, y puesto las manos encima de ellos, despidiéronlos.

And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

E giunti in Salamina, annunziarono la parola di Dio nelle sinagoghe de' Giudei; or aveano ancora Giovanni per ministro.

Y llegados á Salamina, anunciaban la palabra de Dios en las sinagogas de los Judíos: y tenían también á Juan en el ministerio.

And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.

Poi, traversata l'isola fino in Pafo, trovarono quivi un certo mago, falso profeta Giudeo, che avea nome Bar-Gesù.

Y habiendo atravesado toda la isla hasta Papho, hallaron un hombre mago, falso profeta, Judío, llamado Barjesús;

And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus:

Il quale era col proconsolo Sergio Paolo, uomo prudente. Costui, chiamati a sè Barnaba e Saulo, richiese d'udir la parola di Dio.

El cual estaba con el procónsul Sergio Paulo, varón prudente. Este, llamando á Bernabé y á Saulo, deseaba oir la palabra de Dios.

Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

Ma Elima, il mago (perciocchè così s'interpreta il suo nome), resisteva loro, cercando di stornare il proconsolo dalla fede.

Mas les resistía Elimas el encantador (que así se interpreta su nombre), procurando apartar de la fe al procónsul.

E Saulo, il quale ancora fu nominato Paolo, essendo ripieno dello Spirito Santo, ed avendo affissati in lui gli occhi, disse:

O pieno d'ogni frode, e d' ogni malizia, figliuol del diavolo, nemico di ogni giustizia! non resterai tu mai di pervertir le diritte vie del Signore?

Dijo: Oh, lleno de todo engaño y de toda maldad, hijo del diablo, enemigo de toda justicia, ¿no cesarás de trastornar los caminos rectos del Señor?

And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

and said, “You son of the devil, full of all deceit and all cunning, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Ora dunque, ecco, la mano del Signore sarà sopra te, e sarai cieco, senza vedere il sole, fino ad un certo tempo. E in quello stante caligine e tenebre caddero sopra lui; e andando attorno, cercava chi lo menasse per la mano.

Ahora pues, he aquí la mano del Señor es contra ti, y serás ciego, que no veas el sol por tiempo. Y luego cayeron en él obscuridad y tinieblas; y andando alrededor, buscaba quién le condujese por la mano.

And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season!” Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him. He went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

Allora il proconsolo, veduto ciò ch'era stato fatto, credette, essendo sbigottito della dottrina del Signore.

Entonces el procónsul, viendo lo que había sido hecho, creyó, maravillado de la doctrina del Señor.

Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

OR Paolo, e i suoi compagni si partiron di Pafo, ed arrivaron per mare in Perga di Panfilia; e Giovanni, dipartitosi da loro, ritornò in Gerusalemme.

Y partidos de Papho, Pablo y sus compañeros arribaron á Perge de Pamphylia: entonces Juan, apartándose de ellos, se volvió á Jerusalem.

Ed essi, partitisi da Perga, giunsero in Antiochia di Pisidia; ed entrati nella sinagoga nel giorno del sabato, si posero a sedere.

Y ellos pasando de Perge, llegaron á Antioquía de Pisidia, y entrando en la sinagoga un día de sábado, sentáronse.

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

E dopo la lettura della legge e de' profeti, i capi della sinagoga mandarono loro a dire: Fratelli, se voi avete alcun ragionamento d'esortazione a fare al popolo, ditelo.

Y después de la lectura de la ley y de los profetas, los príncipes de la sinagoga enviaron á ellos, diciendo: Varones hermanos, si tenéis alguna palabra de exhortación para el pueblo, hablad.

And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

Allora Paolo, rizzatosi, e fatto cenno con la mano, disse: Uomini Israeliti, e voi che temete Iddio, ascoltate.

Entonces Pablo, levantándose, hecha señal de silencio con la mano, dice: Varones Israelitas, y los que teméis á Dios, oid:

Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.

L'Iddio di questo popolo Israele elesse i nostri padri, ed innalzò il popolo nella sua dimora nel paese di Egitto; e poi con braccio elevato lo trasse fuor di quello.

El Dios del pueblo de Israel escogió á nuestros padres, y ensalzó al pueblo, siendo ellos extranjeros en la tierra de Egipto, y con brazo levantado los sacó de ella.

The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.

E per lo spazio d'intorno a quarant'anni, comportò i modi loro nel deserto.

E poi appresso, per lo spazio d'intorno a quattrocencinquant'anni, diede loro de' Giudici, fino al profeta Samuele.

And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.

E da quell'ora domandarono un re; e Iddio diede loro Saulle, figliuol di Chis, uomo della tribù di Beniamino; e così passarono quarant'anni.

Y entonces demandaron rey; y les dió Dios á Saúl, hijo de Cis, varón de la tribu de Benjamín, por cuarenta años.

And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.

Poi Iddio, rimossolo, suscitò loro Davide per re; al quale eziandio egli rendette testimonianza, e disse: Io ho trovato Davide, il figliuolo di Iesse, uomo secondo il mio cuore, il qual farà tutte le mie volontà.

Y quitado aquél, levantóles por rey á David, al que dió también testimonio, diciendo: He hallado á David, hijo de Jessé, varón conforme á mi corazón, el cual hará todo lo que yo quiero.

And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

Della progenie di esso ha Iddio, secondo la sua promessa, suscitato ad Israele il Salvatore Gesù;

De la simiente de éste, Dios, conforme á la promesa, levantó á Jesús por Salvador á Israel;

Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

From this man’s offspring, God has brought salvation to Israel according to his promise,

avendo Giovanni, avanti la venuta di lui, predicato il battesimo del ravvedimento a tutto il popolo d'Israele.

Predicando Juan delante de la faz de su venida el bautismo de arrepentimiento á todo el pueblo de Israel.

E come Giovanni compieva il suo corso disse: Chi pensate voi che io sia? io non son desso; ma ecco, dietro a me viene uno, di cui io non son degno di sciogliere i calzari de' piedi.

Mas como Juan cumpliese su carrera, dijo: ¿Quién pensáis que soy? No soy yo él; mas he aquí, viene tras mí uno, cuyo calzado de los pies no soy digno de desatar.

And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

As John was fulfilling his course, he said, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But behold, one comes after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’

Uomini fratelli, figliuoli della progenie d'Abrahamo, e que' d'infra voi che temete Iddio, a voi è stata mandata la parola di questa salute.

Varones hermanos, hijos del linaje de Abraham, y los que entre vosotros temen á Dios, á vosotros es enviada la palabra de esta salud.

Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

“Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.

Perciocchè gli abitanti di Gerusalemme, e i lor rettori, non avendo riconosciuto questo Gesù, condannandolo, hanno adempiuti i detti de' profeti, che si leggono ogni sabato.

Porque los que habitaban en Jerusalem, y sus príncipes, no conociendo á éste, y las voces de los profetas que se leen todos los sábados, condenándole, las cumplieron.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

E benchè non trovassero in lui alcuna cagion di morte, richiesero Pilato che fosse fatto morire.

Y sin hallar en él causa de muerte, pidieron á Pilato que le matasen.

And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

E, dopo ch'ebbero compiute tutte le cose che sono scritte di lui, egli fu tratto giù dal legno, e fu posto in un sepolcro.

Y habiendo cumplido todas las cosas que de él estaban escritas, quitándolo del madero, lo pusieron en el sepulcro.

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.

E noi ancora vi evangelizziamo la promessa fatta a' padri;

Y nosotros también os anunciamos el evangelio de aquella promesa que fué hecha á los padres,

And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,

We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,

dicendovi, che Iddio l'ha adempiuta inverso noi, lor figliuoli, avendo risuscitato Gesù, siccome ancora è scritto nel salmo secondo: Tu sei il mio Figliuolo, oggi ti ho generato.

La cual Dios ha cumplido á los hijos de ellos, á nosotros, resucitando á Jesús: como también en el salmo segundo está escrito: Mi hijo eres tú, yo te he engendrado hoy.

God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

that God has fulfilled this to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, ‘You are my Son. Today I have become your father.’

E perciocchè egli l'ha suscitato da' morti, per non tornar più nella corruzione, egli ha detto così: Io vi darò le fedeli benignità promesse a Davide.

Y que le levantó de los muertos para nunca más volver á corrupción, así lo dijo: Os daré las misericordias fieles de David.

And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

“Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’

Perciò ancora egli dice in un altro luogo: Tu non permetterai che il tuo Santo vegga corruzione.

Por eso dice también en otro lugar: No permitirás que tu Santo vea corrupción.

Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Therefore he says also in another psalm, ‘You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.’

Poichè veramente Davide, avendo servito al consiglio di Dio nella sua età, si è addormentato, ed è stato aggiunto a' suoi padri, ed ha veduta corruzione.

Porque á la verdad David, habiendo servido en su edad á la voluntad de Dios, durmió, y fué juntado con sus padres, y vió corrupción:

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, was laid with his fathers, and saw decay.

Ma colui che Iddio ha risuscitato non ha veduta corruzione.

Mas aquel que Dios levantó, no vió corrupción.

But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

But he whom God raised up saw no decay.

Siavi adunque noto, fratelli, che per costui vi è annunziata remission de' peccati.

Séaos pues notorio, varones hermanos, que por éste os es anunciada remisión de pecados;

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins;

E che di tutte le cose, onde per la legge di Mosè non siete potuti esser giustificati, chiunque crede è giustificato per mezzo di lui.

Y de todo lo que por la ley de Moisés no pudisteis ser justificados, en éste es justificado todo aquel que creyere.

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Guardatevi adunque, che non venga sopra voi ciò che è detto ne' profeti:

Mirad, pues, que no venga sobre vosotros lo que está dicho en los profetas;

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;

Beware therefore, lest that come on you which is spoken in the prophets:

Vedete, o sprezzatori, e maravigliatevi; e riguardate, e siate smarriti; perciocchè io fo un'opera a' dì vostri, la quale voi non crederete, quando alcuno ve la racconterà.

Mirad, oh menospreciadores, y entonteceos, y desvaneceos; porque yo obro una obra en vuestros días, obra que no creeréis, si alguien os la contare.

Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

‘Behold, you scoffers! Wonder and perish, for I work a work in your days, a work which you will in no way believe, if one declares it to you.’”

Ora, quando furono usciti dalla sinagoga de' Giudei, i Gentilili pregarono che infra la settimana le medesime cose fosser loro proposte.

Y saliendo ellos de la sinagoga de los Judíos, los Gentiles les rogaron que el sábado siguiente les hablasen estas palabras.

And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

E dopo che la raunanza si fu dipartita, molti d'infra i Giudei, e i proseliti religiosi, seguitarono Paolo e Barnaba; i quali, ragionando loro, persuasero loro di perseverar nella grazia di Dio.

Y despedida la congregación, muchos de los Judíos y de los religiosos prosélitos siguieron á Pablo y á Bernabé; los cuales hablándoles, les persuadían que permaneciesen en la gracia de Dios.

Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

Now when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.

E il sabato seguente, quasi tutta la città si raunò per udir la parola di Dio.

Y el sábado siguiente se juntó casi toda la ciudad á oir la palabra de Dios.

And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Ma i Giudei, veggendo la moltitudine, furono ripieni d'invidia, e contradicevano alle cose dette da Paolo, contradicendo e bestemmiando.

Mas los Judíos, visto el gentío, llenáronse de celo, y se oponían á lo que Pablo decía, contradiciendo y blasfemando.

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

E Paolo, e Barnaba, usando franchezza nel lor parlare, dissero: Egli era necessario che a voi prima si annunziasse, la parola di Dio; ma, poichè la ributtate, e non vi giudicate degni della vita eterna, ecco, noi ci volgiamo a' Gentili.

Entonces Pablo y Bernabé, usando de libertad, dijeron: A vosotros á la verdad era menester que se os hablase la palabra de Dios; mas pues que la desecháis, y os juzgáis indignos de la vida eterna, he aquí, nos volvemos á los Gentiles.

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, “It was necessary that God’s word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

Perciocchè così ci ha il Signore ingiunto, dicendo: Io ti ho posto per esser luce delle Genti, acciocchè tu sii in salute fino all'estremità della terra.

Porque así nos ha mandado el Señor, diciendo: Te he puesto para luz de los Gentiles, para que seas salud hasta lo postrero de la tierra.

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’”

E i Gentili, udendo queste cose, si rallegrarono, e glorificavano la parola di Dio; e tutti coloro ch'erano ordinati a vita eterna credettero.

Y los Gentiles oyendo esto, fueron gozosos, y glorificaban la palabra del Señor: y creyeron todos los que estaban ordenados para vida eterna.

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

E la parola del Signore si spandeva per tutto il paese.

Y la palabra del Señor era sembrada por toda aquella provincia.

And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

Ma i Giudei instigarono le donne religiose ed onorate, e i principali della città, e commossero persecuzione contro a Paolo, e contro a Barnaba, e li scacciarono da' lor confini.

Mas los Judíos concitaron mujeres pías y honestas, y á los principales de la ciudad, y levantaron persecución contra Pablo y Bernabé, y los echaron de sus términos.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

Ed essi, scossa la polvere de' lor piedi contro a loro, se ne vennero in Iconio.
