OR avvenne che in Iconio entrarono parimente nella sinagoga de' Giudei, e parlarono in maniera, che una gran moltitudine di Giudei e di Greci, credette.

Y ACONTECIÓ en Iconio, que entrados juntamente en la sinagoga de los Judíos, hablaron de tal manera, que creyó una grande multitud de Judíos, y asimismo de Griegos.

And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

Ma i Giudei increduli commossero, ed inasprirono gli animi de' Gentili contro a' fratelli.

Mas los Judíos que fueron incrédulos, incitaron y corrompieron los ánimos de los Gentiles contra los hermanos.

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Essi adunque dimorarono quivi molto tempo, parlando francamente nel Signore, il qual rendeva testimonianza alla parola della sua grazia, concedendo che per le lor mani si facesser segni e prodigi.

Con todo eso se detuvieron allí mucho tiempo, confiados en el Señor, el cual daba testimonio á la palabra de su gracia, dando que señales y milagros fuesen hechos por las manos de ellos.

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

E la moltitudine della città fu divisa; e gli uni tenevano co' Giudei, e gli altri con gli apostoli.

Mas el vulgo de la ciudad estaba dividido; y unos eran con los Judíos, y otros con los apóstoles.

Ma, fattosi uno sforzo de' Gentili, e de' Giudei, coi lor rettori, per fare ingiuria agli apostoli, e per lapidarli,

Y haciendo ímpetu los Judíos y los Gentiles juntamente con sus príncipes, para afrentarlos y apedrearlos,

And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,

When some of both the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, made a violent attempt to mistreat and stone them,

essi, intesa la cosa se ne fuggirono nelle città di Licaonia, Listra, e Derba, e nel paese d'intorno.

Habiéndolo entendido, huyeron á Listra y Derbe, ciudades de Licaonia, y por toda la tierra alrededor.

They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, Derbe, and the surrounding region.

E quivi evangelizzavano.

Y allí predicaban el evangelio.

And there they preached the gospel.

There they preached the Good News.

Or in Listra vi era un uomo impotente de' piedi, il quale sempre sedeva, essendo zoppo dal seno di sua madre, e non avea giammai camminato.

Y un hombre de Listra, impotente de los pies, estaba sentado, cojo desde el vientre de su madre, que jamás había andado.

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:

Costui udì parlar Paolo; il quale affissati in lui gli occhi, e veggendo ch'egli avea fede d'esser sanato,

Este oyó hablar á Pablo; el cual, como puso los ojos en él, y vió que tenía fe para ser sano,

The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

He was listening to Paul speaking, who, fastening eyes on him and seeing that he had faith to be made whole,

disse ad alta voce: Io ti dico, nel nome del Signor Gesù Cristo, levati ritto in piè. Ed egli saltò su, e camminava.

Dijo á gran voz: Levántate derecho sobre tus pies. Y saltó, y anduvo.

Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

E le turbe, avendo veduto ciò che Paolo avea fatto, alzarono la lor voce, dicendo in lingua licaonica: Gl'iddii, fattisi simili agli uomini, son discesi a noi.

Entonces las gentes, visto lo que Pablo había hecho, alzaron la voz, diciendo en lengua licaónica: Dioses semejantes á hombres han descendido á nosotros.

And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

When the multitude saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice, saying in the language of Lycaonia, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”

E chiamavano Barnaba, Giove; e Paolo, Mercurio; perciocchè egli era il primo a parlare.

Y á Bernabé llamaban Júpiter, y á Pablo, Mercurio, porque era el que llevaba la palabra.

And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.

They called Barnabas “Jupiter”, and Paul “Mercury”, because he was the chief speaker.

E il sacerdote di Giove, il cui tempio era davanti alla lor città, menò all'antiporto de' tori, con ghirlande, e voleva sacrificare con le turbe.

Y el sacerdote de Júpiter, que estaba delante de la ciudad de ellos, trayendo toros y guirnaldas delante de las puertas, quería con el pueblo sacrificar.

Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.

The priest of Jupiter, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have made a sacrifice along with the multitudes.

Ma gli apostoli, Barnaba e Paolo, udito ciò, si stracciarono i vestimenti, e saltarono per mezzo la moltitudine, sclamando, e dicendo:

Y como lo oyeron los apóstoles Bernabé y Pablo, rotas sus ropas, se lanzaron al gentío, dando voces,

Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,

Uomini, perchè fate queste cose? ancora noi siamo uomini sottoposti a medesime passioni come voi; e vi evangelizziamo che da queste cose vane vi convertiate all'Iddio vivente, il quale ha fatto il cielo, e la terra, e il mare, e tutte le cose che sono in essi.

Y diciendo: Varones, ¿por qué hacéis esto? Nosotros también somos hombres semejantes á vosotros, que os anunciamos que de estas vanidades os convirtáis al Dios vivo, que hizo el cielo y la tierra, y la mar, y todo lo que está en ellos:

And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

“Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of the same nature as you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;

Il quale nell'età addietro ha lasciato camminar nelle lor vie tutte le nazioni.

El cual en las edades pasadas ha dejado á todas las gentes andar en sus caminos;

Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

who in the generations gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.

Benchè egli non si sia lasciato senza testimonianza, facendo del bene, dandoci dal cielo pioggie, e stagioni fruttifere; ed empiendo i cuori nostri di cibo e di letizia.

Si bien no se dejó á sí mismo sin testimonio, haciendo bien, dándonos lluvias del cielo y tiempos fructíferos, hinchiendo de mantenimiento y de alegría nuestros corazones.

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

E, dicendo queste cose, appena fecero restar le turbe, che non sacrificasser loro.

Y diciendo estas cosas, apenas apaciguaron el pueblo, para que no les ofreciesen sacrificio.

And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.

Even saying these things, they hardly stopped the multitudes from making a sacrifice to them.

Ora, facendo essi quivi qualche dimora, ed insegnando, sopraggiunsero certi Giudei d'Antiochia, e d'Iconio i quali persuasero le turbe, e lapidarono Paolo, e lo trascinarono fuor della città, pensando ch'egli fosse morto.

Entonces sobrevinieron unos Judíos de Antioquía y de Iconio, que persuadieron á la multitud, y habiendo apedreado á Pablo, le sacaron fuera de la ciudad, pensando que estaba muerto.

And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

But some Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there, and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.

Ma, essendosi i discepoli raunati d'intorno a lui, egli si levò, ed entrò nella città. E il giorno seguente egli partì con Barnaba, per andare in Derba.

Mas rodeándole los discípulos, se levantó y entró en la ciudad; y un día después, partió con Bernabé á Derbe.

Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

But as the disciples stood around him, he rose up, and entered into the city. On the next day he went out with Barnabas to Derbe.

Ed avendo evangelizzato a quella città, e fatti molti discepoli, se ne ritornarono in Listra, in Iconio, e in Antiochia,

Y como hubieron anunciado el evangelio á aquella ciudad, y enseñado á muchos, volvieron á Listra, y á Iconio, y á Antioquía,

And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

When they had preached the Good News to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,

confermando gli animi de' discepoli, e confortandoli di perseverar nella fede, ed ammonendoli che per molte afflizioni ci conviene entrare nel regno di Dio.

Confirmando los ánimos de los discípulos, exhortándoles á que permaneciesen en la fe, y que es menester que por muchas tribulaciones entremos en el reino de Dios.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

E dopo che ebbero loro per ciascuna chiesa ordinati per voti comuni degli anziani, avendo orato con digiuni, li raccomandarono al Signore, nel quale aveano creduto.

Y habiéndoles constituído ancianos en cada una de las iglesias, y habiendo orado con ayunos, los encomendaron al Señor en el cual habían creído.

And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

E, traversata la Pisidia, vennero in Panfilia.

Y pasando por Pisidia vinieron á Pamphylia.

And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.

E dopo avere annunziata la parola in Perga, discesero in Attalia.

Y habiendo predicado la palabra en Perge, descendieron á Atalia;

And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:

When they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.

E di là navigarono in Antiochia, onde erano stati raccomandati alla grazia di Dio, per l'opera che aveano compiuta.

Y de allí navegaron á Antioquía, donde habían sido encomendados á la gracia de Dios para la obra que habían acabado.

And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.

From there they sailed to Antioch, from where they had been committed to the grace of God for the work which they had fulfilled.

Ed essendovi giunti, raunarono la chiesa, e rapportarono quanto gran cose Iddio avea fatte con loro, e come egli avea aperta a' Gentili la porta della fede.

Y habiendo llegado, y reunido la iglesia, relataron cuán grandes cosas había Dios hecho con ellos, y cómo había abierto á los Gentiles la puerta de la fe.

And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

When they had arrived and had gathered the assembly together, they reported all the things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the nations.

E dimorarono quivi non poco tempo co' discepoli.

Y se quedaron allí mucho tiempo con los discípulos.

And there they abode long time with the disciples.

They stayed there with the disciples for a long time.
