In Ikonium gingen sie in derselben Weise (wie in Antiochia) in die Synagoge der Juden und predigten mit solchem Erfolg, daß sowohl von den Juden als auch von den Griechen eine große Zahl zum Glauben kam.

Y ACONTECIÓ en Iconio, que entrados juntamente en la sinagoga de los Judíos, hablaron de tal manera, que creyó una grande multitud de Judíos, y asimismo de Griegos.

Von den Juden aber reizten die, welche ungläubig geblieben waren, die heidnische Bevölkerung zur Erbitterung gegen die Brüder an.

Dennoch blieben Paulus und Barnabas geraume Zeit dort und predigten freimütig im Vertrauen auf den Herrn, der für das Wort seiner Gnade dadurch Zeugnis ablegte, daß er Zeichen und Wunder durch ihre Hände geschehen ließ.

Con todo eso se detuvieron allí mucho tiempo, confiados en el Señor, el cual daba testimonio á la palabra de su gracia, dando que señales y milagros fuesen hechos por las manos de ellos.

Da entstand eine Spaltung unter der Bevölkerung der Stadt: die einen hielten es mit den Juden, die anderen mit den Aposteln.

Habiéndolo entendido, huyeron á Listra y Derbe, ciudades de Licaonia, y por toda la tierra alrededor.

They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

und setzten auch dort die Verkündigung der Heilsbotschaft fort.

Nun wohnte da in Lystra ein Mann, der keine Kraft in seinen Beinen hatte; er war von Geburt an lahm und hatte noch niemals gehen können.

Dieser hörte der Predigt des Paulus zu; und als dieser ihn fest ansah und erkannte, daß er den Glauben hatte, der zu seiner Heilung nötig war,

And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

Dabei nannten sie Barnabas Zeus und den Paulus Hermes, weil dieser es war, der das Wort führte;

Als die Apostel Barnabas und Paulus das vernahmen, zerrissen sie ihre Kleider, sprangen in die Volksmenge hinein

Y como lo oyeron los apóstoles Bernabé y Pablo, rotas sus ropas, se lanzaron al gentío, dando voces,

und riefen laut: »Ihr Männer, was tut ihr da? Wir sind auch nur Menschen von derselben Art wie ihr und verkündigen euch die Heilsbotschaft, damit ihr euch von diesen Verkehrtheiten zu dem lebendigen Gott bekehrt, der den Himmel und die Erde, das Meer und alles, was darin ist, geschaffen hat.

Y diciendo: Varones, ¿por qué hacéis esto? Nosotros también somos hombres semejantes á vosotros, que os anunciamos que de estas vanidades os convirtáis al Dios vivo, que hizo el cielo y la tierra, y la mar, y todo lo que está en ellos:

And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

“Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of the same nature as you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;

Er hat in den vergangenen Zeiten alle Heidenvölker ihre eigenen Wege gehen lassen,

El cual en las edades pasadas ha dejado á todas las gentes andar en sus caminos;

Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

who in the generations gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.

doch sich durch seine Wohltaten nicht unbezeugt gelassen, indem er euch Regen und fruchtbare Zeiten vom Himmel her gesandt und euch reichlich Nahrung geschenkt und eure Herzen mit Freude erfüllt hat.«

Si bien no se dejó á sí mismo sin testimonio, haciendo bien, dándonos lluvias del cielo y tiempos fructíferos, hinchiendo de mantenimiento y de alegría nuestros corazones.

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

Durch diese Worte brachten sie die Menge nur mit Mühe davon ab, ihnen zu opfern.

And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.

Even saying these things, they hardly stopped the multitudes from making a sacrifice to them.

Es kamen dann aber Juden aus Antiochia und Ikonium herüber, welche die Einwohnerschaft umstimmten; sie steinigten Paulus und schleiften ihn zur Stadt hinaus in der Meinung, er sei tot.

Entonces sobrevinieron unos Judíos de Antioquía y de Iconio, que persuadieron á la multitud, y habiendo apedreado á Pablo, le sacaron fuera de la ciudad, pensando que estaba muerto.

And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

But some Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there, and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.

Als ihn aber die Jünger umringten, stand er auf und ging wieder in die Stadt hinein.

Mas rodeándole los discípulos, se levantó y entró en la ciudad; y un día después, partió con Bernabé á Derbe.

Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

Y como hubieron anunciado el evangelio á aquella ciudad, y enseñado á muchos, volvieron á Listra, y á Iconio, y á Antioquía,

And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

When they had preached the Good News to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,

Sie stärkten überall die Herzen der Jünger, ermahnten sie zu festem Ausharren im Glauben und wiesen sie darauf hin, daß wir durch viele Leiden in das Reich Gottes eingehen müssen.

Confirmando los ánimos de los discípulos, exhortándoles á que permaneciesen en la fe, y que es menester que por muchas tribulaciones entremos en el reino de Dios.

Als sie dann Pisidien durchzogen hatten, kamen sie nach Pamphylien,

Von dort fuhren sie zu Schiff nach Antiochia, von wo aus sie der Gnade Gottes für das Werk, das sie nun glücklich vollbracht hatten, befohlen worden waren.

And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

Sie blieben sodann noch längere Zeit bei den Jüngern dort.

Y se quedaron allí mucho tiempo con los discípulos.

And there they abode long time with the disciples.
