Ese hombre estaba muy atento a la predicación de Pablo. Este, al notarlo, comprendió que aquel hombre tenía suficiente fe para obtener su sanidad.

Y diciendo: Varones, ¿por qué hacéis esto? Nosotros también somos hombres semejantes á vosotros, que os anunciamos que de estas vanidades os convirtáis al Dios vivo, que hizo el cielo y la tierra, y la mar, y todo lo que está en ellos:
And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
“Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of the same nature as you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;
En el pasado, Dios permitió que las naciones anduvieran en sus propios caminos,
El cual en las edades pasadas ha dejado á todas las gentes andar en sus caminos;

aunque nunca las dejó sin algo que hablara de él. ¡Y les dio la lluvia, las buenas cosechas, y llenó de alimentos y alegría los corazones!
Si bien no se dejó á sí mismo sin testimonio, haciendo bien, dándonos lluvias del cielo y tiempos fructíferos, hinchiendo de mantenimiento y de alegría nuestros corazones.

And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.

Sin embargo, llegaron de Antioquía e Iconio varios judíos que hicieron que ese gentío cambiara de parecer y apedreara a Pablo. Como creían que estaba muerto, lo arrastraron fuera de la ciudad.
Entonces sobrevinieron unos Judíos de Antioquía y de Iconio, que persuadieron á la multitud, y habiendo apedreado á Pablo, le sacaron fuera de la ciudad, pensando que estaba muerto.
And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

Después de predicar el evangelio en Derbe y ganar muchos discípulos, regresaron a Listra, a Iconio y a Antioquía,

And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

donde fortalecieron a los discípulos y los animaron a seguir firmes en la fe. Les decían que era necesario que entraran al reino de Dios después de pasar por muchas tribulaciones.
