Or quelques-uns qui étaient descendus de Judée, enseignaient les frères, en disant : si vous n’êtes circoncis selon l’usage de Moïse, vous ne pouvez point être sauvés.

ENTONCES algunos que venían de Judea enseñaban á los hermanos: Que si no os circuncidáis conforme al rito de Moisés, no podéis ser salvos.

And certain men which came down from Judæa taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you can’t be saved.”

Sur quoi une grande contestation et une grande dispute s’étant excitée entre Paul et Barnabas et eux, il fut résolu que Paul et Barnabas, et quelques autres d’entre eux, monteraient à Jérusalem vers les Apôtres et les Anciens, pour cette question.

Así que, suscitada una disensión y contienda no pequeña á Pablo y á Bernabé contra ellos, determinaron que subiesen Pablo y Bernabé á Jerusalem, y algunos otros de ellos, á los apóstoles y á los ancianos, sobre esta cuestión.

When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul, Barnabas, and some others of them to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

Eux donc étant envoyés de la part de l’Eglise, traversèrent la Phénicie et la Samarie, racontant la conversion des Gentils ; et ils causèrent une grande joie à tous les frères.

Ellos, pues, habiendo sido acompañados de la iglesia, pasaron por la Fenicia y Samaria, contando la conversión de los Gentiles; y daban gran gozo á todos los hermanos.

And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

Et étant arrivés à Jérusalem, ils furent reçus de l’Eglise, et des Apôtres, et des Anciens, et ils racontèrent toutes les choses que Dieu avait faites par leur moyen.

Mais quelques-uns, disaient-ils, de la secte des Pharisiens qui ont cru, se sont levés, disant qu’il les faut circoncire, et leur commander de garder la Loi de Moïse.

Mas algunos de la secta de los Fariseos, que habían creído, se levantaron, diciendo: Que es menester circuncidarlos, y mandarles que guarden la ley de Moisés.

But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”

Alors les Apôtres et les Anciens s’assemblèrent pour examiner cette affaire.

Y se juntaron los apóstoles y los ancianos para conocer de este negocio.

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

Et après une grande discussion Pierre se leva, et leur dit : hommes frères, vous savez que depuis longtemps Dieu m’a choisi entre nous, afin que les Gentils ouïssent par ma bouche la parole de l’Evangile, et qu’ils crussent.

Y habiendo habido grande contienda, levantándose Pedro, les dijo: Varones hermanos, vosotros sabéis cómo ya hace algún tiempo que Dios escogió que los Gentiles oyesen por mi boca la palabra del evangelio, y creyesen.

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News and believe.

Et Dieu, qui connaît les coeurs, leur a rendu témoignage, en leur donnant le Saint-Esprit, de même qu’à nous.

Y Dios, que conoce los corazones, les dió testimonio, dándoles el Espíritu Santo también como á nosotros;

And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

God, who knows the heart, testified about them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.

Et il n’a point fait de différence entre nous et eux : ayant purifié leurs coeurs par la foi.

Y ninguna diferencia hizo entre nosotros y ellos, purificando con la fe sus corazones.

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

Maintenant donc pourquoi tentez-vous Dieu en voulant imposer aux disciples un joug que ni nos pères ni nous n’avons pu porter ?

Ahora pues, ¿por qué tentáis á Dios, poniendo sobre la cerviz de los discípulos yugo, que ni nuestros padres ni nosotros hemos podido llevar?

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Mais nous croyons que nous serons sauvés par la grâce du Seigneur Jésus-Christ, comme eux aussi.

Alors toute l’assemblée se tut ; et ils écoutaient Barnabas et Paul, qui racontaient quels prodiges et quelles merveilles Dieu avait faits par leur moyen entre les Gentils.

Entonces toda la multitud calló, y oyeron á Bernabé y á Pablo, que contaban cuán grandes maravillas y señales Dios había hecho por ellos entre los Gentiles.

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

Et après qu’ils se furent tus, Jacques prit la parole, et dit : hommes frères, écoutez-moi !

Simon a raconté comment Dieu a premièrement regardé les Gentils pour en tirer un peuple consacré à son Nom.

Simón ha contado cómo Dios primero visitó á los Gentiles, para tomar de ellos pueblo para su nombre;

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Et c’est à cela que s’accordent les paroles des Prophètes, selon qu’il est écrit :

Après cela je retournerai et rebâtirai le Tabernacle de David, qui est tombé, je réparerai ses ruines, et je le relèverai,

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

‘After these things I will return. I will again build the tabernacle of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it up

Afin que le reste des hommes recherche le Seigneur, et toutes les nations aussi sur lesquelles mon Nom est réclamé, dit le Seigneur, qui fait toutes ces choses.

Para que el resto de los hombres busque al Señor, y todos los Gentiles, sobre los cuales es llamado mi nombre, dice el Señor, que hace todas estas cosas.

That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

that the rest of men may seek after the Lord: all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who does all these things.’

De tout temps sont connues à Dieu toutes ses oeuvres.

Conocidas son á Dios desde el siglo todas sus obras.

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

“All of God’s works are known to him from eternity.

C’est pourquoi je suis d’avis de ne point inquiéter ceux des Gentils qui se convertissent à Dieu ;

Por lo cual yo juzgo, que los que de los Gentiles se convierten á Dios, no han de ser inquietados;

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

Therefore my judgment is that we don’t trouble those from among the Gentiles who turn to God,

Mais de leur écrire qu’ils aient à s’abstenir des souillures des idoles et de la fornication et des bêtes étouffées, et du sang.

Sino escribirles que se aparten de las contaminaciones de los ídolos, y de fornicación, y de ahogado, y de sangre.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.

Car quant à Moïse, il y a de toute ancienneté dans chaque ville des gens gui le prêchent, vu qu’il est lu dans les Synagogues chaque jour de Sabbat.

Porque Moisés desde los tiempos antiguos tiene en cada ciudad quien le predique en las sinagogas, donde es leído cada sábado.

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

Alors il sembla bon aux Apôtres et aux Anciens avec toute l’Eglise, d’envoyer à Antioche avec Paul et Barnabas des hommes choisis entre eux, savoir Judas, surnommé Barsabas et Silas, qui étaient des principaux entre les frères.

Entonces pareció bien á los apóstoles y á los ancianos, con toda la iglesia, elegir varones de ellos, y enviarlos á Antioquía con Pablo y Bernabé: á Judas que tenía por sobrenombre Barsabas, y á Silas, varones principales entre los hermanos;

Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole assembly, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers.

Et ils écrivirent par eux en ces termes : Les Apôtres, et les Anciens, et les frères, aux frères d’entre les Gentils à Antioche, et en Syrie, et en Cilicie, salut.

Y escribir por mano de ellos: Los apóstoles y los ancianos y los hermanos, á los hermanos de los Gentiles que están en Antioquía, y en Siria, y en Cilicia, salud:

And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

They wrote these things by their hand: “The apostles, the elders, and the brothers, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.

Parce que nous avons entendu que quelques-uns étant partis d’entre nous, vous ont troublés par certains discours, agitant vos âmes, en vous commandant d’être circoncis, et de garder la Loi, sans que nous leur en eussions donné aucun ordre ;

Por cuanto hemos oído que algunos que han salido de nosotros, os han inquietado con palabras, trastornando vuestras almas, mandando circuncidaros y guardar la ley, á los cuales no mandamos;

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, ‘You must be circumcised and keep the law,’ to whom we gave no commandment;

Nous avons été d’avis, étant assemblés tous d’un commun accord, d’envoyer vers vous, avec nos très chers Barnabas et Paul, des hommes que nous avons choisis ;

Nos ha parecido, congregados en uno, elegir varones, y enviarlos á vosotros con nuestros amados Bernabé y Pablo,

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

Et qui sont des hommes qui ont abandonné leurs vies pour le Nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.

Hombres que han expuesto sus vidas por el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Nous avons donc envoyé Judas et Silas, qui vous feront entendre les mêmes choses de bouche.

Así que, enviamos á Judas y á Silas, los cuales también por palabra os harán saber lo mismo.

Car il a semblé bon au Saint-Esprit et à nous, de ne mettre point de plus grande charge sur vous que ces choses-ci, qui sont nécessaires ;

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

Savoir, que vous vous absteniez des choses sacrifiées aux idoles, et du sang, et des bêtes étouffées, et de la fornication ; desquelles choses si vous vous gardez, vous ferez bien. Bien vous soit !

Que os abstengáis de cosas sacrificadas á ídolos, y de sangre, y de ahogado, y de fornicación; de las cuales cosas si os guardareis, bien haréis. Pasadlo bien.

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

Après avoir donc pris congé, ils vinrent à Antioche, et ayant assemblé l’Eglise, ils rendirent les Lettres.

Ellos entonces enviados, descendieron á Antioquía; y juntando la multitud, dieron la carta.

So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:

So, when they were sent off, they came to Antioch. Having gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter.

Et quand ceux d’Antioche les eurent lues, ils furent réjouis par la consolation qu’elles leur donnèrent.

La cual, como leyeron, fueron gozosos de la consolación.

Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.

When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.

De même Judas et Silas, qui étaient aussi Prophètes, exhortèrent les frères par plusieurs discours, et les fortifièrent.

Judas también y Silas, como ellos también eran profetas, consolaron y confirmaron á los hermanos con abundancia de palabra.

And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.

Et après avoir demeuré là quelque temps, ils furent renvoyés en paix par les frères vers les Apôtres.

Y pasando allí algún tiempo, fueron enviados de los hermanos á los apóstoles en paz.

And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

After they had spent some time there, they were dismissed in peace from the brothers to the apostles.

Mais il sembla bon à Silas de demeurer là.

Mas á Silas pareció bien el quedarse allí.

Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.

Et Paul et Barnabas demeurèrent aussi à Antioche, enseignant et annonçant, avec plusieurs autres, la parole du Seigneur.

Y Pablo y Bernabé se estaban en Antioquía, enseñando la palabra del Señor y anunciando el evangelio con otros muchos.

Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

Et quelques jours après, Paul dit à Barnabas : retournons-nous-en, et visitons nos frères par toutes les villes où nous avons annoncé la parole du Seigneur, pour voir quel est leur état.

Y después de algunos días, Pablo dijo á Bernabé: Volvamos á visitar á los hermanos por todas las ciudades en las cuales hemos anunciado la palabra del Señor, cómo están.

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.

After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s return now and visit our brothers in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing.”

Or Barnabas conseillait de prendre avec eux Jean, surnommé Marc.

Y Bernabé quería que tomasen consigo á Juan, el que tenía por sobrenombre Marcos;

And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.

Barnabas planned to take John, who was called Mark, with them also.

Mais il ne semblait pas raisonnable à Paul, que celui qui s’était séparé d’eux dès la Pamphylie, et qui n’était point allé avec eux pour cette oeuvre-là, leur fût adjoint

Mas á Pablo no le parecía bien llevar consigo al que se había apartado de ellos desde Pamphylia, y no había ido con ellos á la obra.

But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

But Paul didn’t think that it was a good idea to take with them someone who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and didn’t go with them to do the work.

Sur quoi il y eut entre eux une contestation qui fit qu’ils se séparèrent l’un de l’autre, et que Barnabas prenant Marc, navigua en Cypre.

Y hubo tal contención entre ellos, que se apartaron el uno del otro; y Bernabé tomando á Marcos, navegó á Cipro.

And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;

Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus,

Mais Paul ayant choisi Silas pour l’accompagner, partit de là, après avoir été recommandé à la grâce de Dieu par les frères .

Y Pablo escogiendo á Silas, partió encomendado de los hermanos á la gracia del Señor.

And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

but Paul chose Silas and went out, being commended by the brothers to the grace of God.

Et il traversa la Syrie et la Cilicie, fortifiant les Eglises.

Y anduvo la Siria y la Cilicia, confirmando á las iglesias.

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.

He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the assemblies.
