Quelques hommes, venus de la Judée, enseignaient les frères, en disant: Si vous n’êtes circoncis selon le rite de Moïse, vous ne pouvez être sauvés.

ENTONCES algunos que venían de Judea enseñaban á los hermanos: Que si no os circuncidáis conforme al rito de Moisés, no podéis ser salvos.

And certain men which came down from Judæa taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you can’t be saved.”

Paul et Barnabas eurent avec eux un débat et une vive discussion; et les frères décidèrent que Paul et Barnabas, et quelques-uns des leurs, monteraient à Jérusalem vers les apôtres et les anciens, pour traiter cette question.

Así que, suscitada una disensión y contienda no pequeña á Pablo y á Bernabé contra ellos, determinaron que subiesen Pablo y Bernabé á Jerusalem, y algunos otros de ellos, á los apóstoles y á los ancianos, sobre esta cuestión.

When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

Therefore when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul, Barnabas, and some others of them to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

Après avoir été accompagnés par l’Église, ils poursuivirent leur route à travers la Phénicie et la Samarie, racontant la conversion des païens, et ils causèrent une grande joie à tous les frères.

Ellos, pues, habiendo sido acompañados de la iglesia, pasaron por la Fenicia y Samaria, contando la conversión de los Gentiles; y daban gran gozo á todos los hermanos.

And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

Arrivés à Jérusalem, ils furent reçus par l’Église, les apôtres et les anciens, et ils racontèrent tout ce que Dieu avait fait avec eux.

Alors quelques-uns du parti des pharisiens, qui avaient cru, se levèrent, en disant qu’il fallait circoncire les païens et exiger l’observation de la loi de Moïse.

Mas algunos de la secta de los Fariseos, que habían creído, se levantaron, diciendo: Que es menester circuncidarlos, y mandarles que guarden la ley de Moisés.

But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”

Les apôtres et les anciens se réunirent pour examiner cette affaire.

Y se juntaron los apóstoles y los ancianos para conocer de este negocio.

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

Une grande discussion s’étant engagée, Pierre se leva, et leur dit: Hommes frères, vous savez que dès longtemps Dieu a fait un choix parmi vous, afin que, par ma bouche, les païens entendissent la parole de l’Évangile et qu’ils crussent.

Y habiendo habido grande contienda, levantándose Pedro, les dijo: Varones hermanos, vosotros sabéis cómo ya hace algún tiempo que Dios escogió que los Gentiles oyesen por mi boca la palabra del evangelio, y creyesen.

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News and believe.

Et Dieu, qui connaît les cœurs, leur a rendu témoignage, en leur donnant le Saint-Esprit comme à nous;

Y Dios, que conoce los corazones, les dió testimonio, dándoles el Espíritu Santo también como á nosotros;

And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

God, who knows the heart, testified about them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.

il n’a fait aucune différence entre nous et eux, ayant purifié leurs cœurs par la foi.

Y ninguna diferencia hizo entre nosotros y ellos, purificando con la fe sus corazones.

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Maintenant donc, pourquoi tentez-vous Dieu, en mettant sur le cou des disciples un joug que ni nos pères ni nous n’avons pu porter?

Ahora pues, ¿por qué tentáis á Dios, poniendo sobre la cerviz de los discípulos yugo, que ni nuestros padres ni nosotros hemos podido llevar?

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Mais c’est par la grâce du Seigneur Jésus que nous croyons être sauvés, de la même manière qu’eux.

But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Toute l’assemblée garda le silence, et l’on écouta Barnabas et Paul, qui racontèrent tous les miracles et les prodiges que Dieu avait faits par eux au milieu des païens.

Entonces toda la multitud calló, y oyeron á Bernabé y á Pablo, que contaban cuán grandes maravillas y señales Dios había hecho por ellos entre los Gentiles.

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

Lorsqu’ils eurent cessé de parler, Jacques prit la parole, et dit: Hommes frères, écoutez-moi!

Simon a raconté comment Dieu a d’abord jeté les regards sur les nations pour choisir du milieu d’elles un peuple qui portât son nom.

Simón ha contado cómo Dios primero visitó á los Gentiles, para tomar de ellos pueblo para su nombre;

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Et avec cela s’accordent les paroles des prophètes, selon qu’il est écrit:

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

Après cela, je reviendrai, et je relèverai de sa chute la tente de David, J’en réparerai les ruines, et je la redresserai,

Después de esto volveré y restauraré la habitación de David, que estaba caída; y repararé sus ruinas, y la volveré á levantar;

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

‘After these things I will return. I will again build the tabernacle of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it up

Afin que le reste des hommes cherche le Seigneur, Ainsi que toutes les nations sur lesquelles mon nom est invoqué, Dit le Seigneur, qui fait ces choses,

Para que el resto de los hombres busque al Señor, y todos los Gentiles, sobre los cuales es llamado mi nombre, dice el Señor, que hace todas estas cosas.

That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

that the rest of men may seek after the Lord: all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who does all these things.’

Et à qui elles sont connues de toute éternité.

Conocidas son á Dios desde el siglo todas sus obras.

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

C’est pourquoi je suis d’avis qu’on ne crée pas des difficultés à ceux des païens qui se convertissent à Dieu,

Por lo cual yo juzgo, que los que de los Gentiles se convierten á Dios, no han de ser inquietados;

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

Therefore my judgment is that we don’t trouble those from among the Gentiles who turn to God,

mais qu’on leur écrive de s’abstenir des souillures des idoles, de l’impudicité, des animaux étouffés et du sang.

Sino escribirles que se aparten de las contaminaciones de los ídolos, y de fornicación, y de ahogado, y de sangre.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.

Car, depuis bien des générations, Moïse a dans chaque ville des gens qui le prêchent, puisqu’on le lit tous les jours de sabbat dans les synagogues.

Porque Moisés desde los tiempos antiguos tiene en cada ciudad quien le predique en las sinagogas, donde es leído cada sábado.

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

Alors il parut bon aux apôtres et aux anciens, et à toute l’Église, de choisir parmi eux et d’envoyer à Antioche, avec Paul et Barnabas, Jude appelé Barsabas et Silas, hommes considérés entre les frères.

Entonces pareció bien á los apóstoles y á los ancianos, con toda la iglesia, elegir varones de ellos, y enviarlos á Antioquía con Pablo y Bernabé: á Judas que tenía por sobrenombre Barsabas, y á Silas, varones principales entre los hermanos;

Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole assembly, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas: Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers.

Ils les chargèrent d’une lettre ainsi conçue: Les apôtres, les anciens, et les frères, aux frères d’entre les païens, qui sont à Antioche, en Syrie, et en Cilicie, salut!

Y escribir por mano de ellos: Los apóstoles y los ancianos y los hermanos, á los hermanos de los Gentiles que están en Antioquía, y en Siria, y en Cilicia, salud:

And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

They wrote these things by their hand: “The apostles, the elders, and the brothers, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: greetings.

Ayant appris que quelques hommes partis de chez nous, et auxquels nous n’avions donné aucun ordre, vous ont troublés par leurs discours et ont ébranlé vos âmes,

Por cuanto hemos oído que algunos que han salido de nosotros, os han inquietado con palabras, trastornando vuestras almas, mandando circuncidaros y guardar la ley, á los cuales no mandamos;

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

Because we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, ‘You must be circumcised and keep the law,’ to whom we gave no commandment;

nous avons jugé à propos, après nous être réunis tous ensemble, de choisir des délégués et de vous les envoyer avec nos bien-aimés Barnabas et Paul,

Nos ha parecido, congregados en uno, elegir varones, y enviarlos á vosotros con nuestros amados Bernabé y Pablo,

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

it seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

ces hommes qui ont exposé leur vie pour le nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.

Hombres que han expuesto sus vidas por el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Nous avons donc envoyé Jude et Silas, qui vous annonceront de leur bouche les mêmes choses.

Así que, enviamos á Judas y á Silas, los cuales también por palabra os harán saber lo mismo.

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

Car il a paru bon au Saint-Esprit et à nous de ne vous imposer d’autre charge que ce qui est nécessaire,

Que ha parecido bien al Espíritu Santo, y á nosotros, no imponeros ninguna carga más que estas cosas necesarias:

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay no greater burden on you than these necessary things:

savoir, de vous abstenir des viandes sacrifiées aux idoles, du sang, des animaux étouffés, et de l’impudicité, choses contre lesquelles vous vous trouverez bien de vous tenir en garde. Adieu.

Que os abstengáis de cosas sacrificadas á ídolos, y de sangre, y de ahogado, y de fornicación; de las cuales cosas si os guardareis, bien haréis. Pasadlo bien.

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality, from which if you keep yourselves, it will be well with you. Farewell.”

Eux donc, ayant pris congé de l’Église, allèrent à Antioche, où ils remirent la lettre à la multitude assemblée.

Ellos entonces enviados, descendieron á Antioquía; y juntando la multitud, dieron la carta.

So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:

Après l’avoir lue, les frères furent réjouis de l’encouragement qu’elle leur apportait.

La cual, como leyeron, fueron gozosos de la consolación.

Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.

When they had read it, they rejoiced over the encouragement.

Jude et Silas, qui étaient eux-mêmes prophètes, les exhortèrent et les fortifièrent par plusieurs discours.

Judas también y Silas, como ellos también eran profetas, consolaron y confirmaron á los hermanos con abundancia de palabra.

And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.

Au bout de quelque temps, les frères les laissèrent en paix retourner vers ceux qui les avaient envoyés.

Y pasando allí algún tiempo, fueron enviados de los hermanos á los apóstoles en paz.

And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

After they had spent some time there, they were dismissed in peace from the brothers to the apostles.

Toutefois Silas trouva bon de rester.

Mas á Silas pareció bien el quedarse allí.

Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.

Paul et Barnabas demeurèrent à Antioche, enseignant et annonçant, avec plusieurs autres, la bonne nouvelle de la parole du Seigneur.

Y Pablo y Bernabé se estaban en Antioquía, enseñando la palabra del Señor y anunciando el evangelio con otros muchos.

Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

Quelques jours s’écoulèrent, après lesquels Paul dit à Barnabas: Retournons visiter les frères dans toutes les villes où nous avons annoncé la parole du Seigneur, pour voir en quel état ils sont.

Y después de algunos días, Pablo dijo á Bernabé: Volvamos á visitar á los hermanos por todas las ciudades en las cuales hemos anunciado la palabra del Señor, cómo están.

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.

After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s return now and visit our brothers in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing.”

Barnabas voulait emmener aussi Jean, surnommé Marc;

Y Bernabé quería que tomasen consigo á Juan, el que tenía por sobrenombre Marcos;

And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.

Barnabas planned to take John, who was called Mark, with them also.

mais Paul jugea plus convenable de ne pas prendre avec eux celui qui les avait quittés depuis la Pamphylie, et qui ne les avait point accompagnés dans leur œuvre.

Mas á Pablo no le parecía bien llevar consigo al que se había apartado de ellos desde Pamphylia, y no había ido con ellos á la obra.

But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

But Paul didn’t think that it was a good idea to take with them someone who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia, and didn’t go with them to do the work.

Ce dissentiment fut assez vif pour être cause qu’ils se séparèrent l’un de l’autre. Et Barnabas, prenant Marc avec lui, s’embarqua pour l’île de Chypre.

Y hubo tal contención entre ellos, que se apartaron el uno del otro; y Bernabé tomando á Marcos, navegó á Cipro.

And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;

Then the contention grew so sharp that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus,

Paul fit choix de Silas, et partit, recommandé par les frères à la grâce du Seigneur.

Y Pablo escogiendo á Silas, partió encomendado de los hermanos á la gracia del Señor.

And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

but Paul chose Silas and went out, being commended by the brothers to the grace of God.

Il parcourut la Syrie et la Cilicie, fortifiant les Églises.

Y anduvo la Siria y la Cilicia, confirmando á las iglesias.

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.

He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the assemblies.
