Er kam aber auch nach Derbe und Lystra. {Und siehe} dort war ein Jünger (Schüler) namens Timotheus, Sohn einer gläubigen Jüdin, sein Vater aber †war Grieche,

DESPUÉS llegó á Derbe, y á Listra: y he aquí, estaba allí un discípulo llamado Timoteo, hijo de una mujer Judía fiel, mas de padre Griego.

Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

der hatte einen guten Ruf bei den Brüdern (Geschwistern) in Lystra und Ikonium.

Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

The brothers who were at Lystra and Iconium gave a good testimony about him.

Von diesem wollte Paulus, dass er mit ihm hinauszöge, und er nahm ihn mit und beschnitt ihn wegen der Juden, die an jenen Orten waren; denn alle wussten, dass sein Vater Grieche war.

Este quiso Pablo que fuese con él; y tomándole, le circuncidó por causa de los Judíos que estaban en aquellos lugares; porque todos sabían que su padre era Griego.

Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

Als sie {aber} die Städte durchzogen, übergaben sie ihnen zur Beachtung (= hielten sie sie an, sich zu richten nach) die Gebote, die von den Aposteln und Ältesten in Jerusalem festgelegt (beschlossen) worden waren.

Y como pasaban por las ciudades, les daban que guardasen los decretos que habían sido determinados por los apóstoles y los ancianos que estaban en Jerusalem.

And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.

Die Gemeinden {nun zwar} wurden fest im Glauben und nahmen täglich zu an Zahl.

Als sie aber durch das Phrygische und Galatische Gebiet zogen, wurden sie vom heiligen Geist abgehalten (daran gehindert, wurde es ihnen verboten), das Wort in der †Provinz Asien zu predigen (aussprechen, verkündigen).

Y pasando á Phrygia y la provincia de Galacia, les fué prohibido por el Espíritu Santo hablar la palabra en Asia.

Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

Nachdem sie aber in die Gegend von Mysien gekommen (gelangt, gereist) waren, versuchten sie, nach Bithynien zu reisen, aber der Geist Jesu verwehrte ihnen das.

Y como vinieron á Misia, tentaron de ir á Bithynia; mas el Espíritu no les dejó.

After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

When they had come opposite Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit didn’t allow them.

Nachdem sie {aber} an Mysien vorbeigezogen waren, stiegen sie hinab nach Troas.

Y pasando á Misia, descendieron á Troas.

And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.

Aber {und} nachts erschien Paulus eine Vision (ein Gesicht), ein makedonischer Mann stand da {und} bat ihn und sprach: Setze über nach Makedonien und hilf uns!

Y fué mostrada á Pablo de noche una visión: Un varón Macedonio se puso delante, rogándole, y diciendo: Pasa á Macedonia, y ayúdanos.

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him and saying, “Come over into Macedonia and help us.”

Wie er aber die Vision (das Gesicht) sah, schlossen wir (legten wir uns zurecht) sofort, dass Gott uns berufen hatte, ihnen das Evangelium zu verkündigen.

Y como vió la visión, luego procuramos partir á Macedonia, dando por cierto que Dios nos llamaba para que les anunciásemos el evangelio.

And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Good News to them.

Nachdem wir von Troas ausgelaufen waren, fuhren wir geradewegs nach Samothrake, am folgenden Tag {aber} nach Neapolis (Neustadt),

Partidos pues de Troas, vinimos camino derecho á Samotracia, y el día siguiente á Neápolis;

Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;

Setting sail therefore from Troas, we made a straight course to Samothrace, and the day following to Neapolis;

und von dort †gingen wir nach Philippi, das eine Stadt des ersten Teils von Makedonien ist, eine Kolonie. Wir waren aber in dieser Stadt und verweilten (brachten zu, verbrachten) einige Tage.

Y de allí á Filipos, que es la primera ciudad de la parte de Macedonia, y una colonia; y estuvimos en aquella ciudad algunos días.

And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.

and from there to Philippi, which is a city of Macedonia, the foremost of the district, a Roman colony. We were staying some days in this city.

Am Sabbat aber gingen wir zum Tor hinaus zum Fluss, wo wir eine Synagoge (Gebetsstätte) vermuteten, und nachdem wir uns gesetzt hatten sprachen wir mit den Frauen, die †dort zusammengekommen waren.

Y un día de sábado salimos de la puerta junto al río, donde solía ser la oración; y sentándonos, hablamos á las mujeres que se habían juntado.

And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

On the Sabbath day we went outside of the city by a riverside, where we supposed there was a place of prayer, and we sat down and spoke to the women who had come together.

{Und} eine Frau namens Lydia, eine Purpurwollenhändlerin aus der Stadt Thyatira, eine Gottesfürchtige, hörte zu, der öffnete der Herr das Herz, (zu hören auf =) dass sie auf das hörte (achtete), was Paulus sagte.

Entonces una mujer llamada Lidia, que vendía púrpura en la ciudad de Tiatira, temerosa de Dios, estaba oyendo; el corazón de la cual abrió el Señor para que estuviese atenta á lo que Pablo decía.

And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one who worshiped God, heard us. The Lord opened her heart to listen to the things which were spoken by Paul.

Als sie aber getauft wurde und ihre Hausbewohner (ihre Familie), lud sie ein {indem sie/ und sprach}: Wenn ihr meint (überzeugt seid), dass ich an den Herrn gläubig bin, kommt in mein Haus und bleibt. Und sie drängte (nötigte) uns.

Y cuando fué bautizada, y su familia, nos rogó, diciendo: Si habéis juzgado que yo sea fiel al Señor, entrad en mi casa, y posad: y constriñónos.

And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.

When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.

Es begab sich aber, als wir zur Synagoge gingen, begegnete uns (ging uns entgegen) eine Sklavin (Magd), die hatte einen Wahrsagegeist, brachte ihren Herren großen Verdienst ein, indem sie wahrsagte.

Y aconteció, que yendo nosotros á la oración, una muchacha que tenía espíritu pitónico, nos salió al encuentro, la cual daba grande ganancia á sus amos adivinando.

And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

As we were going to prayer, a certain girl having a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by fortune telling.

Die folge Paulus und uns und schrie {indem sie/ und sprach}: Diese Menschen sind Sklaven (Diener) des höchsten Gottes, die verkündigen euch den Weg der Rettung (den Heilsweg).

Esta, siguiendo á Pablo y á nosotros, daba voces, diciendo: Estos hombres son siervos del Dios Alto, los cuales os anuncian el camino de salud.

The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

Following Paul and us, she cried out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us a way of salvation!”

Das machte sie {aber} über viele Tage hin (viele Tage lang). Paulus aber regte †das auf (war aufgebracht) und sich umdrehend sprach er zum Geist: Hiermit befehle ich dir im Namen Jesu Christi, von ihr zu verschwinden (auszufahren). Und er verschwand (fuhr aus) von ihr in dieser Stunde.

Y esto hacía por muchos días; mas desagradando á Pablo, se volvió y dijo al espíritu: Te mando en el nombre de Jesucristo, que salgas de ella. Y salió en la misma hora.

And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

She was doing this for many days. But Paul, becoming greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” It came out that very hour.

Als aber ihre Herren sahen, dass die Aussicht auf ihren Erwerb verschwunden war, ergriffen sie Paulus und Silas unds schleppten sie zum Marktplatz (Forum) zu den Behörden

Y viendo sus amos que había salido la esperanza de su ganancia, prendieron á Pablo y á Silas, y los trajeron al foro, al magistrado;

And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,

But when her masters saw that the hope of their gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.

und sprachen, als sie sie den Prätoren vorführten: Diese Menschen, die Juden sind, wiegeln unsere Stadt auf

Y presentándolos á los magistrados, dijeron: Estos hombres, siendo Judíos, alborotan nuestra ciudad,

And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,

When they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, “These men, being Jews, are agitating our city

und verkündigen Gesetze (Riten), die wir nicht bei uns, die wir Römer sind, gelten lassen noch tun dürfen.

Y predican ritos, los cuales no nos es lícito recibir ni hacer, pues somos Romanos.

And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.

and advocate customs which it is not lawful for us to accept or to observe, being Romans.”

Und das Volk erhob sich mit (ebenfalls) gegen sie und die Prätoren befahlen, nachdem sie ihnen die Kleider {ringsum} heruntergerissen hatten, die Prügelstrafe zu verabreichen

Y agolpóse el pueblo contra ellos: y los magistrados rompiéndoles sus ropas, les mandaron azotar con varas.

And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.

The multitude rose up together against them and the magistrates tore their clothes from them, then commanded them to be beaten with rods.

Nachdem man ihnen viele Schläge versetzt hatte, warfen sie sie ins Gefängnis und befahlen dem Gefängniswärter, sie sicher zu verwahren (gefangen zu halten).

Y después que los hubieron herido de muchos azotes, los echaron en la cárcel, mandando al carcelero que los guardase con diligencia:

And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:

Der, nachdem er eine solche Anweisung erhalten hatte, warf sie in das innere Gefängnis und schloss ihre Füße in den Block ein.

El cual, recibido este mandamiento, los metió en la cárcel de más adentro; y les apretó los pies en el cepo.

Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.

Aber um Mitternacht beteten Paulus und Silas und priesen (besangen, rühmten) Gott. Die Gefangenen aber hörten ihnen zu.

Mas á media noche, orando Pablo y Silas, cantaban himnos á Dios: y los que estaban presos los oían.

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

Plötzlich aber ereignete sich ein großes Erdbeben, sodass die Fundamente des Gefängnisses ins Wanken gerieten. Sofort aber wurden alle Türen geöffnet und die Fesseln aller gelöst.

Entonces fué hecho de repente un gran terremoto, de tal manera que los cimientos de la cárcel se movían; y luego todas las puertas se abrieron, y las prisiones de todos se soltaron.

And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Nachdem aber der Gefängniswärter wach geworden war und sah, dass die Türen des Gefängnisses geöffnet worden waren, zog er das Schwert und wollte sich töten, weil er meinte, die Gefangenen wären entflohen.

Y despertado el carcelero, como vió abiertas las puertas de la cárcel, sacando la espada se quería matar, pensando que los presos se habían huído.

And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

The jailer, being roused out of sleep and seeing the prison doors open, drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.

Paulus aber rief mit gewaltiger Stimme {und sprach}: Tu dir nichts Böses (Übles) an, wir sind doch alle hier.

Mas Pablo clamó á gran voz, diciendo: No te hagas ningún mal; que todos estamos aquí.

But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

Nachdem er Licht verlangt hatte, sprang er hinein und fiel Paulus und Silas zu Füßen, während ihn ein Zittern überfiel.

El entonces pidiendo luz, entró dentro, y temblando, derribóse á los pies de Pablo y de Silas;

Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

Nachdem er sie hinausgeführt hatte, sagte er: Ihr Herren, was muss ich tun, damit ich gerettet werde?

Y sacándolos fuera, les dice: Señores, ¿qué es menester que yo haga para ser salvo?

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

brought them out, and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Sie aber sprachen: Glaube an den Herrn Jesus, und du wirst gerettet und deine Familie(deine Hausbewohner).

Y ellos dijeron: Cree en el Señor Jesucristo, y serás salvo tú, y tu casa.

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Und die sagten ihm das Wort des Herrn mit allen, die in seinem Haus †waren.

Y le hablaron la palabra del Señor, y á todos los que estaban en su casa.

And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

Und er nahm sie zu sich in jener nächtlichen Stunde (Stunde der Nacht), wusch ihnen die Striemen und wurde sofort getauft und alle die Seinen,

And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

dann führte er sie hinauf ins Haus und setzte ihnen eine Mahlzeit vor und jubelte mit der ganzen Familie, dass er an Gott gläubig †geworden war.

And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

He brought them up into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly with all his household, having believed in God.

Als es aber Tag geworden war, schickten die Prätoren die Liktoren {und sprachen}: Lasst jene Menschen frei!

Y como fué de día, los magistrados enviaron los alguaciles, diciendo: Deja ir á aquellos hombres.

And when it was day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go.

But when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants, saying, “Let those men go.”

Der Gefängniswärter meldete diese Worte dem Paulus: Die Prätoren haben geschickt: ihr sollt freigelassen werden (dass ihr freigelassen werdet). Geht also jetzt hinaus und zieht hin in Frieden.

Y el carcelero hizo saber estas palabras á Pablo: Los magistrados han enviado á decir que seáis sueltos: así que ahora salid, é id en paz.

And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.

The jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates have sent to let you go; now therefore come out and go in peace.”

Aber Paulus sprach zu ihnen: Sie haben uns öffentlich ohne Prozess verprügelt (die Prügelstrafe verabreicht), obwohl wir Römer sind, sie warfen uns ins Gefängnis, und jetzt entlassen sie uns heimlich? Oh nein! Vielmehr (sondern) sollen sie kommen und uns hinausgeleiten.

Entonces Pablo les dijo: Azotados públicamente sin ser condenados, siendo hombres Romanos, nos echaron en la cárcel; y ¿ahora nos echan encubiertamente? No, de cierto, sino vengan ellos y sáquennos.

But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.

But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us publicly without a trial, men who are Romans, and have cast us into prison! Do they now release us secretly? No, most certainly, but let them come themselves and bring us out!”

Die Liktoren {aber} meldeten (berichteten) den Prätoren diese Worte. Sie fürchteten sich aber, als sie hörten: Sie sind Römer,

Y los alguaciles volvieron á decir á los magistrados estas palabras: y tuvieron miedo, oído que eran Romanos.

And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.

The sergeants reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans,

und kamen und redeten ihnen gut zu (gaben ihnen gute Worte, sprachen ihnen freundlich zu) und führten sie hinaus. Dabei baten sie sie, die Stadt zu verlassen.

Y viniendo, les rogaron; y sacándolos, les pidieron que se saliesen de la ciudad.

And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.

and they came and begged them. When they had brought them out, they asked them to depart from the city.

Nachdem sie aber das Gefängnis verlassen hatten (weggegangen waren vom Gefängnis) besuchten sie (traten sie ein bei) Lydia. Sie sahen die Brüder und trösteten sie (redeten ihnen gut zu) und gingen fort.

Entonces salidos de la cárcel, entraron en casa de Lidia; y habiendo visto á los hermanos, los consolaron, y se salieron.

And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
