Er kam aber auch nach Derbe und nach Lystra. Und siehe, dort war ein Jünger namens Timotheus, der Sohn einer gläubigen jüdischen Frau, aber eines griechischen Vaters.

DESPUÉS llegó á Derbe, y á Listra: y he aquí, estaba allí un discípulo llamado Timoteo, hijo de una mujer Judía fiel, mas de padre Griego.

Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

Der hatte ein gutes Zeugnis von den Brüdern in Lystra und Ikonium.

De éste daban buen testimonio los hermanos que estaban en Listra y en Iconio.

Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

The brothers who were at Lystra and Iconium gave a good testimony about him.

Diesen wollte Paulus mit sich ziehen lassen. Und er nahm ihn und ließ ihn beschneiden um der Juden willen, die an jenem Orte waren; denn sie wußten alle, daß sein Vater ein Grieche war.

Este quiso Pablo que fuese con él; y tomándole, le circuncidó por causa de los Judíos que estaban en aquellos lugares; porque todos sabían que su padre era Griego.

Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

Indem sie aber die Städte durchzogen, übergaben sie ihnen zur Befolgung die von den Aposteln und Ältesten in Jerusalem gefaßten Beschlüsse.

And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.

Da wurden die Gemeinden im Glauben gestärkt und nahmen an Zahl täglich zu.

Als sie aber Phrygien und die Landschaft Galatien durchzogen, wurde ihnen vom heiligen Geist gewehrt, das Wort in Asien zu verkünden.

Y pasando á Phrygia y la provincia de Galacia, les fué prohibido por el Espíritu Santo hablar la palabra en Asia.

Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

Und sie kamen gen Mysien und versuchten nach Bithynien zu reisen; und der Geist Jesu ließ es ihnen nicht zu.

After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

Und es erschien dem Paulus in der Nacht ein Gesicht: Ein mazedonischer Mann stand vor ihm, bat ihn und sprach: Komm herüber nach Mazedonien und hilf uns!

Y fué mostrada á Pablo de noche una visión: Un varón Macedonio se puso delante, rogándole, y diciendo: Pasa á Macedonia, y ayúdanos.

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

Als er aber dieses Gesicht gesehen hatte, trachteten wir alsbald nach Mazedonien zu ziehen, indem wir daraus schlossen, daß uns der Herr berufen habe, ihnen das Evangelium zu predigen.

Y como vió la visión, luego procuramos partir á Macedonia, dando por cierto que Dios nos llamaba para que les anunciásemos el evangelio.

And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

So fuhren wir denn von Troas ab und kamen in gerader Fahrt nach Samothrace und am folgenden Tage nach Neapolis;

Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis;

und von da nach Philippi, welches die erste Stadt jenes Teils von Mazedonien ist, eine Kolonie. Wir hielten uns aber in dieser Stadt etliche Tage auf.

Y de allí á Filipos, que es la primera ciudad de la parte de Macedonia, y una colonia; y estuvimos en aquella ciudad algunos días.

And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days.

Und am Sabbattage gingen wir zum Tor hinaus an den Fluß, wo wir eine Gebetsstätte vermuteten; und wir setzten uns und redeten zu den Frauen, die da zusammengekommen waren.

Y un día de sábado salimos de la puerta junto al río, donde solía ser la oración; y sentándonos, hablamos á las mujeres que se habían juntado.

And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

Und eine gottesfürchtige Frau namens Lydia, eine Purpurhändlerin aus der Stadt Thyatira, hörte zu; und der Herr tat ihr das Herz auf, daß sie achthatte auf das, was von Paulus geredet wurde.

Entonces una mujer llamada Lidia, que vendía púrpura en la ciudad de Tiatira, temerosa de Dios, estaba oyendo; el corazón de la cual abrió el Señor para que estuviese atenta á lo que Pablo decía.

And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, one who worshiped God, heard us. The Lord opened her heart to listen to the things which were spoken by Paul.

Als sie aber samt ihrem Hause getauft worden war, bat sie und sprach: Wenn ihr davon überzeugt seid, daß ich an den Herrn gläubig bin, so kommet in mein Haus und bleibet daselbst! Und sie nötigte uns.

Y cuando fué bautizada, y su familia, nos rogó, diciendo: Si habéis juzgado que yo sea fiel al Señor, entrad en mi casa, y posad: y constriñónos.

And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.

When she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.

Es begab sich aber, als wir zur Gebetsstätte gingen, daß uns eine Magd begegnete, die einen Wahrsagergeist hatte und ihren Herren durch ihr Wahrsagen großen Gewinn verschaffte.

Y aconteció, que yendo nosotros á la oración, una muchacha que tenía espíritu pitónico, nos salió al encuentro, la cual daba grande ganancia á sus amos adivinando.

And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

As we were going to prayer, a certain girl having a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by fortune telling.

Diese folgte Paulus und uns nach, schrie und sprach: Diese Männer sind Diener des höchsten Gottes, die euch den Weg des Heils verkündigen!

Esta, siguiendo á Pablo y á nosotros, daba voces, diciendo: Estos hombres son siervos del Dios Alto, los cuales os anuncian el camino de salud.

The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

Following Paul and us, she cried out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us a way of salvation!”

Und solches tat sie viele Tage. Paulus aber, den das bemühte, wandte sich um und sprach zu dem Geist: Ich gebiete dir im Namen Jesu Christi, von ihr auszufahren! Und er fuhr aus zur selben Stunde.

Y esto hacía por muchos días; mas desagradando á Pablo, se volvió y dijo al espíritu: Te mando en el nombre de Jesucristo, que salgas de ella. Y salió en la misma hora.

And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

She was doing this for many days. But Paul, becoming greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” It came out that very hour.

Als aber ihre Herren sahen, daß die Hoffnung auf ihren Gewinn entschwunden war, ergriffen sie Paulus und Silas und schleppten sie auf den Markt vor die Obersten,

Y viendo sus amos que había salido la esperanza de su ganancia, prendieron á Pablo y á Silas, y los trajeron al foro, al magistrado;

And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,

But when her masters saw that the hope of their gain was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.

führten sie den Hauptleuten zu und sprachen: Diese Männer, die Juden sind, verwirren unsere Stadt

Y presentándolos á los magistrados, dijeron: Estos hombres, siendo Judíos, alborotan nuestra ciudad,

And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,

When they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, “These men, being Jews, are agitating our city

und verkündigen Gebräuche, welche anzunehmen oder auszuüben uns nicht erlaubt ist, da wir Römer sind!

Y predican ritos, los cuales no nos es lícito recibir ni hacer, pues somos Romanos.

And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.

and advocate customs which it is not lawful for us to accept or to observe, being Romans.”

Und das Volk stand ebenfalls wider sie auf; und die Hauptleute rissen ihnen die Kleider ab und befahlen, sie mit Ruten zu schlagen.

Y agolpóse el pueblo contra ellos: y los magistrados rompiéndoles sus ropas, les mandaron azotar con varas.

And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.

Und nachdem sie ihnen viele Streiche gegeben, warfen sie sie ins Gefängnis und befahlen dem Kerkermeister, sie sicher zu verwahren.

Dieser warf sie auf solchen Befehl hin ins innere Gefängnis und schloß ihre Füße in den Block.

El cual, recibido este mandamiento, los metió en la cárcel de más adentro; y les apretó los pies en el cepo.

Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.

Um Mitternacht aber beteten Paulus und Silas und lobten Gott mit Gesang, und die Gefangenen hörten sie.

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

Plötzlich aber entstand ein großes Erdbeben, so daß die Grundfesten des Gefängnisses erschüttert wurden, und alsbald öffneten sich alle Türen, und die Bande aller wurden los.

Entonces fué hecho de repente un gran terremoto, de tal manera que los cimientos de la cárcel se movían; y luego todas las puertas se abrieron, y las prisiones de todos se soltaron.

Y despertado el carcelero, como vió abiertas las puertas de la cárcel, sacando la espada se quería matar, pensando que los presos se habían huído.

And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

The jailer, being roused out of sleep and seeing the prison doors open, drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.

Aber Paulus rief mit lauter Stimme und sprach: Tue dir kein Leid an; denn wir sind alle hier!

Mas Pablo clamó á gran voz, diciendo: No te hagas ningún mal; que todos estamos aquí.

But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

Da forderte er ein Licht, sprang hinein und fiel zitternd vor Paulus und Silas nieder.

Und er führte sie heraus und sprach: Ihr Herren, was muß ich tun, um gerettet zu werden?

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Sie aber sprachen: Glaube an den Herrn Jesus, so wirst du gerettet werden, du und dein Haus!

Y ellos dijeron: Cree en el Señor Jesucristo, y serás salvo tú, y tu casa.

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Und sie sagten ihm und allen, die in seinem Hause waren, das Wort des Herrn.

And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

Und er nahm sie in jener Stunde der Nacht zu sich und wusch ihnen die Striemen ab und ließ sich auf der Stelle taufen, er samt den Seinigen.

And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

Als es aber Tag geworden war, sandten die Hauptleute die Gerichtsdiener mit dem Befehl: Laß jene Leute frei!

Y como fué de día, los magistrados enviaron los alguaciles, diciendo: Deja ir á aquellos hombres.

And when it was day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go.

But when it was day, the magistrates sent the sergeants, saying, “Let those men go.”

Da verkündigte der Kerkermeister dem Paulus diese Worte: Die Hauptleute haben hergesandt, daß man euch freilasse. So geht nun hinaus und ziehet hin in Frieden!

Y el carcelero hizo saber estas palabras á Pablo: Los magistrados han enviado á decir que seáis sueltos: así que ahora salid, é id en paz.

And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.

The jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates have sent to let you go; now therefore come out and go in peace.”

Paulus aber sprach zu ihnen: Sie haben uns, die wir Römer sind, öffentlich ohne Urteil geschlagen und ins Gefängnis geworfen; und jetzt schicken sie uns heimlich fort? Nicht also; sondern sie mögen selbst kommen und uns hinausführen!

Entonces Pablo les dijo: Azotados públicamente sin ser condenados, siendo hombres Romanos, nos echaron en la cárcel; y ¿ahora nos echan encubiertamente? No, de cierto, sino vengan ellos y sáquennos.

But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.

But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us publicly without a trial, men who are Romans, and have cast us into prison! Do they now release us secretly? No, most certainly, but let them come themselves and bring us out!”

Da verkündigten die Gerichtsdiener diese Worte den Hauptleuten; und diese fürchteten sich, als sie hörten, daß sie Römer seien;

Y los alguaciles volvieron á decir á los magistrados estas palabras: y tuvieron miedo, oído que eran Romanos.

And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared, when they heard that they were Romans.

The sergeants reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans,

und sie kamen und redeten ihnen zu und führten sie hinaus und baten sie, die Stadt zu verlassen.

Y viniendo, les rogaron; y sacándolos, les pidieron que se saliesen de la ciudad.

And they came and besought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.

and they came and begged them. When they had brought them out, they asked them to depart from the city.

Da verliessen sie das Gefängnis und begaben sich zu Lydia; und als sie die Brüder sahen, ermahnten sie sie und zogen fort.

Entonces salidos de la cárcel, entraron en casa de Lidia; y habiendo visto á los hermanos, los consolaron, y se salieron.

And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
