Après cela, étant parti d’Athènes, il vint à Corinthe ;

Y hallando á un Judío llamado Aquila, natural del Ponto, que hacía poco que había venido de Italia, y á Priscila su mujer, (porque Claudio había mandado que todos los Judíos saliesen de Roma) se vino á ellos;

And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.

et parce qu’il était du même métier, il demeura avec eux et travaillait, car leur métier était de faire des tentes.

Et comme ils s’opposaient et blasphémaient, il secoua ses vêtements et leur dit : Que votre sang soit sur votre tête ! Moi, je suis net : désormais je m’en irai vers les nations.

Mas contradiciendo y blasfemando ellos, les dijo, sacudiendo sus vestidos: Vuestra sangre sea sobre vuestra cabeza; yo, limpio; desde ahora me iré á los Gentiles.

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

Et étant parti de là, il entra dans la maison d’un nommé Juste qui servait Dieu, et dont la maison tenait à la synagogue.

Y partiendo de allí, entró en casa de uno llamado Justo, temeroso de Dios, la casa del cual estaba junto á la sinagoga.

And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man’s house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.

Mais Crispus, le chef de synagogue, crut au Seigneur avec toute sa maison ; et plusieurs des Corinthiens l’ayant entendu, crurent et furent baptisés.

Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:

parce que je suis avec toi ; et personne ne mettra les mains sur toi pour te faire du mal, parce que j’ai un grand peuple dans cette ville.

Porque yo estoy contigo, y ninguno te podrá hacer mal; porque yo tengo mucho pueblo en esta ciudad.

For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”

Et il demeura là un an et six mois, enseignant parmi eux la parole de Dieu.

Mais pendant que Gallion était proconsul d’Achaïe, les Juifs, d’un commun accord, s’élevèrent contre Paul et l’amenèrent devant le tribunal,

Y siendo Galión procónsul de Acaya, los Judíos se levantaron de común acuerdo contra Pablo, y le llevaron al tribunal,

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

disant : Cet homme persuade les hommes de servir Dieu contrairement à la loi.

Diciendo: Que éste persuade á los hombres á honrar á Dios contra la ley.

Saying, This fellow persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.

Et comme Paul allait ouvrir la bouche, Gallion dit aux Juifs : S’il s’agissait de quelque injustice ou de quelque méchante fourberie, ô Juifs, je vous supporterais à bon droit ;

Y comenzando Pablo á abrir la boca, Galión dijo á los Judíos: Si fuera algún agravio ó algún crimen enorme, oh Judíos, conforme á derecho yo os tolerara:

And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:

mais si ce sont des questions de paroles, et de noms, et de votre loi, vous y mettrez ordre vous-mêmes, †car moi, je ne veux pas être juge de ces choses.

Mas si son cuestiones de palabras, y de nombres, y de vuestra ley, vedlo vosotros; porque yo no quiero ser juez de estas cosas.

But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters.

but if they are questions about words and names and your own law, look to it yourselves. For I don’t want to be a judge of these matters.”

Et il les chassa de devant le tribunal.

Et ayant tous saisi Sosthène, le chef de synagogue, ils le battaient devant le tribunal ; et Gallion ne se mettait pas en peine de tout cela.

Entonces todos los Griegos tomando á Sóstenes, prepósito de la sinagoga, le herían delante del tribunal: y á Galión nada se le daba de ello.

Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.

Et Paul, ayant demeuré là encore assez longtemps, prit congé des frères et mit à la voile pour la Syrie, et avec lui Priscilla et Aquilas, après qu’il se fut fait raser la tête à Cenchrée, car il avait fait un vœu.

Mas Pablo habiéndose detenido aún allí muchos días, después se despidió de los hermanos, y navegó á Siria, y con él Priscila y Aquila, habiéndose trasquilado la cabeza en Cencreas, porque tenía voto.

And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.

Paul, having stayed after this many more days, took his leave of the brothers, and sailed from there for Syria, together with Priscilla and Aquila. He shaved his head in Cenchreae, for he had a vow.

Et il arriva à Éphèse et les y laissa ; mais étant entré lui-même dans la synagogue, il discourut avec les Juifs.

Mais lorsqu’ils le prièrent de demeurer plus longtemps avec eux, il n’y consentit pas,

Los cuales le rogaban que se quedase con ellos por más tiempo; mas no accedió,

mais il prit congé d’eux, disant : †Il faut absolument que je célèbre la fête prochaine à Jérusalem ; je reviendrai vers vous, si Dieu le veut. Et il partit d’Éphèse par mer.

Sino que se despidió de ellos, diciendo: Es menester que en todo caso tenga la fiesta que viene, en Jerusalem; mas otra vez volveré á vosotros, queriendo Dios. Y partió de Efeso.

But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

but taking his leave of them, he said, “I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem, but I will return again to you if God wills.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.

Et ayant abordé à Césarée, il monta et salua l’assemblée, et descendit à Antioche.

Y habiendo arribado á Cesarea subió á Jerusalem; y después de saludar á la iglesia, descendió á Antioquía.

And when he had landed at Cæsarea, and gone up, and saluted the church, he went down to Antioch.

Et ayant séjourné là quelque temps, il s’en alla, et traversa successivement le pays de Galatie et la Phrygie, fortifiant tous les disciples.

Y habiendo estado allí algún tiempo, partió, andando por orden la provincia de Galacia, y la Phrygia, confirmando á todos los discípulos.

And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.

Et il vint à Éphèse un Juif, nommé Apollos, Alexandrin d’origine, homme éloquent et puissant dans les écritures.

Llegó entonces á Efeso un Judío, llamado Apolos, natural de Alejandría, varón elocuente, poderoso en las Escrituras.

And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

Il était instruit dans la voie du Seigneur ; et, étant fervent d’esprit, il parlait et enseignait diligemment les choses qui concernaient Jésus, ne connaissant que le baptême de Jean.

Este era instruído en el camino del Señor; y ferviente de espíritu, hablaba y enseñaba diligentemente las cosas que son del Señor, enseñando solamente en el bautismo de Juan.

This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

Et il se mit à parler avec hardiesse dans la synagogue. Et Aquilas et Priscilla, l’ayant entendu, le prirent et lui expliquèrent plus exactement la voie de Dieu.

Y comenzó á hablar confiadamente en la sinagoga: al cual como oyeron Priscila y Aquila, le tomaron, y le declararon más particularmente el camino de Dios.

And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

car il réfutait publiquement les Juifs avec une grande force, démontrant par les écritures que Jésus était le Christ.

Porque con gran vehemencia convencía públicamente á los Judíos, mostrando por las Escrituras que Jesús era el Cristo.

For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

for he powerfully refuted the Jews, publicly showing by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.
