EN el primer tratado, oh Teófilo, he hablado de todas las cosas que Jesús comenzó á hacer y á enseñar,
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

e de como ele foi elevado para o céu depois de dar aos seus apóstolos as instruções por meio do Espírito Santo.
Hasta el día en que, habiendo dado mandamientos por el Espíritu Santo á los apóstoles que escogió, fué recibido arriba;
Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Durante os 40 dias depois do seu sofrimento ele apareceu aos apóstolos diversas vezes, provando para eles de muitas maneiras que realmente estava vivo. Nessas ocasiões falou a eles a respeito do Reino de Deus.
A los cuales, después de haber padecido, se presentó vivo con muchas pruebas indubitables, apareciéndoles por cuarenta días, y hablándoles del reino de Dios.
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Num desses encontros, enquanto comia com eles, deu-lhes esta ordem: “Não saiam de Jerusalém até que o Espírito Santo venha sobre vocês em cumprimento da promessa do Pai, conforme eu disse a vocês.

Então lhe perguntaram: “É agora que o Senhor vai restaurar o Reino para o povo de Israel?”
Entonces los que se habían juntado le preguntaron, diciendo: Señor, ¿restituirás el reino á Israel en este tiempo?
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Therefore, when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, are you now restoring the kingdom to Israel?”
“Não cabe a vocês saber a ocasião ou as datas que o Pai determinou pela sua própria autoridade”, respondeu ele.
Y les dijo: No toca á vosotros saber los tiempos ó las sazones que el Padre puso en su sola potestad;
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
He said to them, “It isn’t for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within his own authority.
“Mas quando o Espírito Santo descer sobre vocês, receberão poder para serem minhas testemunhas tanto em Jerusalém como em toda a Judeia e Samaria e até nos confins da terra”.
Mas recibiréis la virtud del Espíritu Santo que vendrá sobre vosotros; y me sereís testigos en Jerusalem, y en toda Judea, y Samaria, y hasta lo último de la tierra.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.”
Depois de ter falado isso, ele foi elevado ao céu e desapareceu numa nuvem, enquanto todos olhavam para ele.
Y habiendo dicho estas cosas, viéndolo ellos, fué alzado; y una nube le recibió y le quitó de sus ojos.
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Y estando con los ojos puestos en el cielo, entre tanto que él iba, he aquí dos varones se pusieron junto á ellos en vestidos blancos;
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

e lhes disseram: “Homens da Galileia, por que vocês estão olhando para o céu? Esse Jesus, que estava com vocês e que foi elevado ao céu, voltará do mesmo modo que vocês o viram subir!”
Los cuales también les dijeron: Varones Galileos, ¿qué estáis mirando al cielo? este mismo Jesús que ha sido tomado desde vosotros arriba en el cielo, así vendrá como le habéis visto ir al cielo.
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”
Eles estavam no monte das Oliveiras quando isto aconteceu, de modo que caminharam cerca de um quilômetro de volta para Jerusalém.

dizendo o seguinte: “Irmãos, era necessário que se cumprissem as Escrituras a respeito de Judas, guiando a multidão para prender Jesus, pois isso foi profetizado há muito tempo pelo Espírito Santo, por meio do rei Davi.
Varones hermanos, convino que se cumpliese la Escritura, la cual dijo antes el Espíritu Santo por la boca de David, de Judas, que fué guía de los que prendieron á Jesús;
Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
“Brothers, it was necessary that this Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was guide to those who took Jesus.

Com o dinheiro que ele recebeu pelo seu pecado, foi comprado um campo. O próprio Judas, na sua queda, rebentou-se, e suas entranhas se esparramaram.
Este, pues, adquirió un campo del salario de su iniquidad, y colgándose, reventó por medio, y todas sus entrañas se derramaron.
Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

A notícia da morte dele espalhou-se rapidamente no meio do povo de Jerusalém, e puseram no lugar o nome de Aceldama, que quer dizer, “Campo de Sangue”.
Y fué notorio á todos los moradores de Jerusalem; de tal manera que aquel campo es llamado en su propia lengua, Acéldama, que es, Campo de sangre.
And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

Pedro continuou: “Porque está escrito no Livro dos Salmos: ‘Que a sua casa fique deserta, sem ninguém morando nela’. E ainda: ‘Que o trabalho dele seja entregue para um outro fazer’.

For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

“Portanto, nós devemos escolher agora um outro para ocupar o lugar de Judas e unir-se a nós. Escolhamos alguém que tenha estado constantemente conosco enquanto o Senhor Jesus viveu entre nós,
Conviene, pues, que de estos hombres que han estado juntos con nosotros todo el tiempo que el Señor Jesús entró y salió entre nosotros,
Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
“Of the men therefore who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
