Y CINCO días después descendió el sumo sacerdote Ananías, con algunos de los ancianos, y un cierto Tértulo, orador; y parecieron delante del gobernador contra Pablo.
And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
After five days, the high priest, Ananias, came down with certain elders and an orator, one Tertullus. They informed the governor against Paul.
Quando Tértulo foi chamado à frente, fez as acusações contra Paulo no seguinte discurso ao governador Félix: “Vossa Excelência tem dado a nós, os judeus, tranquilidade e paz durante o seu governo, e o seu cuidado providencial resultou em notáveis reformas em benefício deste povo.
Y citado que fué, Tértulo comenzó á acusar, diciendo: Como por causa tuya vivamos en grande paz, y muchas cosas sean bien gobernadas en el pueblo por tu prudencia,
And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,

É que nós descobrimos que este homem é um perturbador, um homem que está sempre levando os judeus pelo mundo todo a se revoltarem contra o governo romano. Ele é o cabeça principal da seita conhecida como dos nazarenos.
Porque hemos hallado que este hombre es pestilencial, y levantador de sediciones entre todos los Judíos por todo el mundo, y príncipe de la secta de los Nazarenos:
For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

Além disso, ele estava tentando profanar o templo quando foi preso. “Queríamos julgá-lo de acordo com a nossa lei,

Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
He even tried to profane the temple, and we arrested him.
mas o comandante Lísias veio e arrancou o acusado violentamente das nossas mãos e ordenou que os seus acusadores se apresentassem.
Mas interviniendo el tribuno Lisias, con grande violencia le quitó de nuestras manos,
But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,

Vossa Excelência poderá descobrir a verdade das nossas acusações, examinando Paulo pessoalmente”.
Mandando á sus acusadores que viniesen á ti; del cual tú mismo juzgando, podrás entender todas estas cosas de que le acusamos.
Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
By examining him yourself you may ascertain all these things of which we accuse him.”
Então todos os outros judeus concordaram com ele, afirmando que tudo quanto Tértulo tinha dito era verdade.
Y contendían también los Judíos, diciendo ser así estas cosas.

Nisso chegou a vez de Paulo. O governador fez sinal para que ele se levantasse e falasse. Paulo então disse: “Eu sei que o senhor tem sido por muitos anos juiz de questões judaicas, e isto me dá confiança em apresentar a minha defesa.
Entonces Pablo, haciéndole el gobernador señal que hablase, respondió: Porque sé que muchos años ha eres gobernador de esta nación, con buen ánimo satisfaré por mí.
Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
When the governor had beckoned to him to speak, Paul answered, “Because I know that you have been a judge of this nation for many years, I cheerfully make my defense,
O senhor poderá facilmente descobrir que não fazia mais do que doze dias que eu tinha chegado a Jerusalém para adorar a Deus,
Porque tú puedes entender que no hace más de doce días que subí á adorar á Jerusalem;
Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
seeing that you can verify that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem.
e descobrirá que eu nunca provoquei nenhum motim em nenhuma sinagoga, nem nas ruas da cidade;
Y ni me hallaron en el templo disputando con ninguno, ni haciendo concurso de multitud, ni en sinagogas, ni en la ciudad;
And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
In the temple they didn’t find me disputing with anyone or stirring up a crowd, either in the synagogues or in the city.
e estes homens evidentemente não podem provar as acusações que agora estão levantando contra mim.
Ni te pueden probar las cosas de que ahora me acusan.
Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.

Os meus acusadores me viram no templo, quando eu estava apresentando a minha oferta de gratidão. Eu tinha rapado a cabeça, como as leis deles exigem, e estava cerimonialmente puro, e não havia multidão nenhuma ao meu redor, e nenhuma confusão!
Cuando me hallaron purificado en el templo (no con multitud ni con alboroto) unos Judíos de Asia;
Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.

Mas estavam lá alguns judeus da província da Ásia, os quais deveriam estar aqui diante do senhor apresentando acusações, se eles têm alguma coisa contra mim.

Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.

Então Félix, que estava bem informado a respeito do Caminho, disse: Agora pode ir. Quando chegar o comandante Lísias, decidirei a causa de vocês.
Entonces Félix, oídas estas cosas, estando bien informado de esta secta, les puso dilación, diciendo: Cuando descendiere el tribuno Lisias acabaré de conocer de vuestro negocio.
And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.
But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, “When Lysias, the commanding officer, comes down, I will decide your case.”
Mandou Paulo para o cárcere, mas instruiu ao centurião que ele fosse tratado com alguma liberdade e não proibisse nenhum dos amigos dele de visitá-lo e servi-lo, para tornar mais confortável sua permanência ali.
Y mandó al centurión que Pablo fuese guardado, y aliviado de las prisiones; y que no vedase á ninguno de sus familiares servirle, ó venir á él.
And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
He ordered the centurion that Paul should be kept in custody and should have some privileges, and not to forbid any of his friends to serve him or to visit him.
Vários dias depois veio Félix com sua própria esposa Drusila, que era judia. Mandou buscar Paulo, e os dois ouviram falar a respeito da fé em Cristo Jesus.
Y algunos días después, viniendo Félix con Drusila, su mujer, la cual era Judía, llamó á Pablo, y oyó de él la fe que es en Jesucristo.
And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
After some days, Felix came with Drusilla his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus.
E enquanto Paulo falava com eles a respeito da justiça divina, do domínio próprio e do juízo final, Félix teve medo. “Por agora basta”, respondeu ele, “e quando eu tiver uma ocasião mais conveniente, chamarei você outra vez”.
Y disertando él de la justicia, y de la continencia, y del juicio venidero, espantado Félix, respondió: Ahora vete; mas en teniendo oportunidad te llamaré:
And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, “Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.”
Ele esperava também que Paulo desse dinheiro para ficar livre, e por isso estava sempre mandando buscá-lo para conversar com ele.
Esperando también con esto, que de parte de Pablo le serían dados dineros, porque le soltase; por lo cual, haciéndole venir muchas veces, hablaba con él.
He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
Meanwhile, he also hoped that money would be given to him by Paul, that he might release him. Therefore also he sent for him more often and talked with him.
Desta forma passaram-se dois anos; então Félix foi substituído por Pórcio Festo. E como Félix queria ganhar a simpatia dos judeus, manteve Paulo na prisão.
Mas al cabo de dos años recibió Félix por sucesor á Porcio Festo: y queriendo Félix ganar la gracia de los Judíos, dejó preso á Pablo.
But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix’ room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.
