Habe ich aber jemand Leid getan und des Todes wert gehandelt, so weigere ich mich nicht zu sterben; ist aber der keines nicht, des sie mich verklagen, so kann mich ihnen niemand ergeben. Ich berufe mich auf den Kaiser.

Pidiendo gracia contra él, que le hiciese traer á Jerusalem, poniendo ellos asechanzas para matarle en el camino.

And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.

asking a favor against him, that he would summon him to Jerusalem, plotting to kill him on the way.
